Great late night fix. Shakes are good, burgers are greasy. Crowd is young as expected since Columbia is in the area. If you have a hangover, this place might be your cure. read more

For a quick inexpensive meal this was a great place to go too. We actually ate here two times. Coney dog and Chicago dog were perfect.

This is a great late night spot. As a vegetarian I was super excited about their veggie dog which you can order in many different ways. I've tried many veggie dogs and this one was by far the best! read more

Excellent variety of dogs and the deli pickles are terrific... crisp, fresh and not too vinegar-y. Huge portions on the fries too.

Great place - great food - a must do when you are in the area. Fresh fries and onion rings- creative dogs and great staff

love 2 things! (note i haven't actually tried the dogs yet lol) but i love the sliders cheese burger! (white castle who???) and they have the best banana shake in town! lov read more

Just came back from Devil Dawg and it was interesting. The restaurant had a lot of energy and definitely full of people.... The nice guy over the phone and cashier was a nice dude... I see they expanded their menu a bit! This is my 2nd time eating something from here. The last time was some years ago. I got a chicken sandwich and the hand-cut fries. The fries were GREAT (back then) and the sandwich, although tasty and nice flavors, it was very sloppy!. So, this time I ordered a "shroom" sandwich; "Grilled marinated Portobello with grilled onions, tomato, cucumber, pepper jack cheese, avocado and spicy brown mustard." Well I got my food back to the office and the fries were cooked to a crisp.... Overcooked and I had the remnants or the bottom of the basket fries!!! NOT good this time around. I only ate approximately an 1/8 of the total bag. Now, to the burger!. IT WASSSS GREASY!!... that I could see that through the unwrapped paper!... I was like ggggeeeeezzusssss!!!... I had to slap some of the avocado off the sandwich before biting. I took (1) bite and the damn thing fell apart!. I had to put it back together numerous times. I gave up and grabbed plenty of napkins and a fork and knife!!.. This was the first time in my existence that I EVER-EVER...EVER-EVER-EVER ate a burger/sandwich with a fork and knife and THAT didn't even help!. I attempted to eat it open face and all the ingredients kept slipping off the bun!. It was a sloppy, greasy mess. I gingerly finished the burger and like I said, I threw the rest of the fries away. Like I told my boss, I'm probably gonna pay for eating this later on. Ohhh boyyy!!!.... Moral of story... If you are trying to eat health/clean you NEED to avoid this place at all cost!!.. HOWEVER, if greasy food is your thang or if you have the drunken hungers this place will DEFINITELY work for you. For me... I'm good!. I'll see just how good later on today!!!... read more

Great Chicago Hot Dog. Amazing Chili Fries with all the works. The Klucker was okay. Thought the fried batter was too hard to bite into. The Green Tea Milkshake was perfect (not too sweet for a milkshake) read more

Great food. Getting a perfect sized slider to go along with my bacon cheddar dog is amazing. Getting everything delivered still hot and delicious is awesome. Everything we got was awesome bucket of fries and shake too.Would give them 5 stars but they forgot one of our sliders. read more

Had my book bag stolen here and none of the staff offered any condolences or anything. The boss was out on vacation so they couldn't even check the security cameras to show me who did it. ): Pretty sad experience but their food was good. I had the chicken burger with like the egg on it I believe, it was great. I want to come back but I'm still mourning my book bag. Heard their shakes are awesome tho. read more

When i walked in this location for the first and only time yesterday,i didn't know that i was going to be the real invisible man there.I didn't even get eye contact from none of the 5 or more male employees there behind the counter. No greeting at all of any sort whatsoever. No verbal acknowledgement. Not even a handwave, never mind a faux smile from them at least.I still picked up a menu to study it in its entirety. It was kind of intriguing, but not enough for me to actually order anything though.Needless to say,i put my headphones back on my head with that firm grip;and walked right out of their restaurant as if they're infinite mean spiritedness was not a big deal.I heard the worst faux music of all time coming from behind the counter while i was studying their menu. These ratchet female style attitude having male employees love that awful music from my culture, but hate my race organically at the exact same time though.Isn't it ironic????? read more

Pretty good hot dogs recommend the chi dog. The slaw dog was mediocre and the ny street dog was overrated

I've since returned. Much closer to the kind of service I prefer. Quick, accurate, competent. Fire Burger was tasty as well.

So I have ordered from this place numerous times since my original review, and I would say they consistently get a four star from me. I have sine had many items on the menu, including dogs, burgers, shakes and the chicken sandwich. It costs like four dollars to have the food delivered and I live very close, so sometimes I will pick it up, but there isn't much parking and with it being so cold, I really don't want to walk because my food would be cold by the tie I would get it inside to eat. Keep it up Devil Dawgs, and I'll keep coming back! read more

Decent food, but burgers are terribly overpriced. They are the size of a White Castle burger. But great late night food, for sure.

The Elvis burger was one of the best bites Ive had, love that they are available in a smaller size as well, would love to try many more of their creative burgers! So delicous, what a find!!? read more

First day in Chicago and wow! The Chicago polish and the morning burger wow! Good quality and fast service!

Loved this restaurant!!!! I highly recommend the Chicago and taco hotdog. Prices are more than reasonable and there is a wide selection of flavors for hot dog styles. read more

Good food and fast service. Lots of originals on the menu. Really great shakes, we had cookies and cream. Tight in places to sit, but overall a great lunch. read more

This was the first place we went to the night we flew in. We walked to the place and were a in awe of all the choices. I tried something new each time I went! Sean was really patient and took his time explaining a few of the menu items. If your looking for burgers they got a great selection as well. The Chicago dog and Morning burger are my favorite! Fries are great too! Not too salty and delivered piping hot! But everything is good. Didn't get to try the shakes but I'm sure they're good as well. Great place! read more

The Elvis Burger is the best! It's so affordable and delicious. The burgers are pretty small so we usually order 2-3 of each. The regular fries were better than the cheese fries. We love this place and it's become our favorite places. read more

Great spot for drunk eats. Clucker sandwich, all their hot dogs, and any of their milk shakes are a good choice at the time, but regrettable in the morning... read more

The burgers were really small, as were the hot dogs. The fries were greasy. The shakes were awesome. Great place to go after a night on the town! read more

By far the best Chicago dawg in the city! Homemade onion rings to die for and the strawberry banana milkshake is crazy good.

Food here is cheap, greasy, and really awesome. Only main downside is that it can be chaotic inside and seating is limited. Sometimes it can take 10-15 minutes to get your order. read more

Amazing! This was my first time in Chicago and I used Yelp to find this restaurant. What a hit! 8 of us, from the same training, went together and we all liked it. I split a Boykin Dog, a Chicago Devil Dog, and onion rings with another lady. It was all fresh and delicious. Even the onion rings, which are lightly hand battered. I'm a bit disappointed that I leave town tonight and can't eat there again. Also, the automatic 18% gratuity that I read about in other reviews didn't happen. Gratuity was completely optional. read more

This is the first place we stopped at to get food. It was my first time ever in Chicago and a friend had mentioned how great this place it. It was his second time going that day! I don't remember what I got, but it was so good that I went back for seconds. The burgers are a bit bigger than slider, but there's a lot in the burger so it's fulfilling. Definitely a place to go when you visit. read more

Great place! Its clean, bright, and all the guys working were super friendly. Had a bag o fries - perfectly salted and not overly oily. Shake (peanut butter and chocolate) was awesome as well. Do not ubderstand the negativity- this devil dawgs was sweet read more

If you want awesome greasy burgers, this is the place. The fries are delicious and the hot dogs are great too. Definitely suggest!

It's not near as cheap as Nicki's outside of the loop where you can get a burger AND fries for the price of a burger here but it does taste better. I had a cheeseburger. I am glad I went with the Double Cheeseburger because the thing is tiny-- about the diameter of McDonald's $1 cheeseburger. It does have more meat though and it looks like real meat not cardboard. On the plus side they give a lot of fries for the bag of fries. They are among the best fries in a fast food joint. Also they have a hand sanitizer right at the entrance. read more

5 stars for a hot dog joint with awesome onion rings, killer shakes, and best dogs in Chicago

This place is the bomb, simply put. The food is always fresh and has great flavor. I normally get their burgers but recently tried the chicken sandwich. It was really good and super juicy. One of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've had in a while. Also their burgers are small so you can try a variety of them like little sliders. I think they are slightly over priced, but still a great eat! read more

Wasn't a fan of the hot dogs, but get the clucker chicken sandwich. Seriously. Get a chicken sandwich when you're starving and about to go to bed. I walked in once at like 2am without shoes because blisters and was still served food with no judgement. I'm so sad I lived on top of this place. read more

While visiting Chicago on business I was so pleased to find this place near my hotel. Friendly, fun environment, many options and great food. I liked it enough to bring my coworkers back. Highly recommended. Thanks Devil Dawgs! read more

I've been here once. It's awesome that they're open late. The food is adequate and reasonably priced. However, it is absolutely fundamentally unacceptable for any restaurant to not have a public restroom. read more

Good stuff, they put bacon on my burger when I didn't order it, though, and I don't eat pork. Loved the hotdog, however.

I just ate my first Chicago style hot dog at Max's Take Out earlier today. It was great and I gave them five stars. I felt the need to try another one later in the day and came across this place in the yelp reviews. The price was a little cheaper $3.40 here and close to $4 at the other place. The quality difference was huge though. This place had hot dogs with very tough and chewy skins, the peppers were also chopped up and not evenly placed. Because it's such a simple food little mistakes really hurt it. I would not recommend it or go again. read more

Devil Dawgs is an awesome local gem and I really liked the food, people, and the interior decoration! I got a bucket of fries in addition to my hot dog...even though it was way too much fries, I was in food heaven. Would totally go back & try some other items on the menu! read more

We're from Atl, GA and felt like we were eating at a real local Chicago dogs place. It was everything we hoped it would be and plan to make it a regular stop anytime we're in town. It was an easy walk from our hotel with quick, friendly service. The dining area is super tiny and incredibly crowded. But the service is quick so we didn't have to wait for a table. read more

I really like the food. I was surpise how good their signature sauce was. Only thing I didn't like was the tables were dirty, I had to little cleaning before eating read more
