The people who work at Deviceland have NO INTEGRITY. I had an issue with my MacBook screen that made it impossible to use/see (I had no idea why, as I didn't remember dropping it or anything). I shelled out $600 to have it fixed, only for the screen to be damaged again a few days after they returned it. Deviceland insisted that they had fixed it perfectly and that I coincidentally broke it AGAIN. They offered to repair it again .... for another $600! I'm expected to believe that days after they returned the laptop they supposedly fixed, I somehow magically had the same issue? Then I was supposed to pay twice?? I took it to apple and they confirmed: Deviceland is a group of con artists. read more

THANK YOU Deviceland! I should've written a review years ago, but this time I had to write one based on all FOUR of my AWESOME experiences with computer repairs. I first found Deviceland through Apple when my son's old 13 inch MacBook Pro's screen was cracked. He'd had the computer since the 7th grade and in 2019 (12th grade) he dropped it. It was out of Apple Care warranty, so I paid to get it repaired. This computer lasted through his first year of college. A few months after I got my son's computer repaired, I dropped my 15 inch MacBook Pro and immediately went to Deviceland for repair. My computer is still running GREAT! In August 2020 prior to my son's sophomore year of college, I purchased him a new 2020 MacBook Pro 13.3" with Touch Bar and Apple Care. In December 2021 the screen became cracked! My son swore he didn't know how it cracked. I immediately made an appointment at Deviceland to get it repaired! This past Sunday, June 26th, my son and husband were horsing around and his computer screen was damaged. Unfortunately, he hadn't backed up his computer as I've told him to do biweekly. He was so upset as he had information in the computer for his current summer internship. I immediately made an appointment for Deviceland for the next day. That Monday morning, we took in his computer in and as usual the Customer Service was WONDERFUL! They had all my information in their system and told us that it would take 3 to 5 days. About an hour later I received an email that the part was ordered. The next day, Tuesday morning, around 11:45 am I received an email that the computer was ready! I wasn't surprised as the three prior cracked screen repairs were done within one to three days. I immediately went to pick it up! My son was at work and he's going to have a big surprise awaiting him. This computer has to last him through his upcoming senior year of college. At first, a reluctant choice due to non existent appointments at the apple store, and now a totally happy camper. Alas, my phone battery turned into a POS, giving me anxiety on my travels as it dangerously dips below 20% on 'low power mode' in less than 6 hours. This place is better than the apple store- no crowds, no parking fuss at the mall, very clean, no lines, just Action. Get in, tell them the problem, they will check diagnostics in 2 min, check your warranty status for you, deliver the bad news that the warranty will only cover the battery if its "79%" or lower, give a genuine look of apology (even tho it's not even close to being their fault), and let you know its $100 to change the battery. Two hours later-- phone call that it's ready to pick up, and voila- back to phone battery bliss. ... until that fateful day arrives yet again, where the sucky ass battery will unleash the fury and withers away in the progress... I will be back. Both for the efficiency of service and of course the inevitable necessity; the vicious circle of life that is the iPhone battery. A warning: there is a rather large elephant (that is actually kindda cute) that made me thrice double-take because I thought it was a big brown dog. It will tug at your dog-pet-yearning heartstrings, and make you miss your mutt at home waiting for you to return from this annual battery-swapping quest. read more

Do not buy any product from this store. I bought a pair of Apple Airpods. Their return policy is completely different from Apple or for that matter even Amazon. They do not accept returns. Even though it was within 7 days. They first stated that it was official Apple policy. When I refuted their claim and went on the Apple website and stated verbatim what was written on the Apple website, the man suddenly said, that it was not the Apple company policy, but, their policy. Buyers beware. Apple needs to revisit if they want to allow this company to represent them. Why would anyone want to buy from this company when Apple and other sites offer not only a better deal but, also good old American service and return policy. They never get my business again! We settled on a new MacAir; they transferred my files to the new Mac with a minimum fuss and the entire transaction took place in a couple of hours. This is the second time I've come here and they never disappoint. I get to bring in my "vintage" MacBook Air purchased in 2014 and each time I've only had to replace the battery. They are fair with their pricing, patient, communicate is great and very efficient. I've been fortunate enough that my repairs happen the same day (in and out). Don't come here. The short, sloppy girl who worked here was a complete B. I trucked it with a newborn baby all the way to an appointment just for them to tell me my 2015 Mac is considered obsolete and they won't even look at it or give an opinion on the display issue. I said maybe you should reach out and let people know that before you waste their time and take an appointment to have them come in. Super rude. Also, maybe take the blue color out of your hair, get some brain cells working and learn some politeness. Don't bother with Apple Manhattan Beach Village, this is the best Apple service you will ever receive. They know Apple products very well and there is no long line, actually, there was no line. When my computer went kaput, I thought I'd have to visit the zoo that is the Manhattan Beach Apple Store. So when the Apple support site offered me the earliest appointment at Deviceland, I snapped it up. When I arrived, there was no one else there, and they said no appointment was even necessary, I could've just walked in. They are authorized for Apple service and were able to make the repair under my warranty. It took less than 30 hours for them to diagnose the problem (dead logic board), order the replacement part, and install it. (Compare this to the Apple Store, where they insist on sending the computer elsewhere and it takes at least 4 days to get it back.) There were some minor problems: They forgot to have me turn off the machine in-store, and I had to do it through my phone later, but it just took a minute. They never called me to update me--I had to phone them. But overall I am extremely pleased and, while I hope I don't need computer or device service any time soon, Deviceland will be my go-to for repairs from now on. read more

$35 phone reset (make sure you have all of your stuff backed up through iCloud). Good deal, quick service, open schedule for appointments. My iPhone 13 got stuck on the Apple Logo after the automatic update to 18.01 (I recommend no one update to that version if you have an iPhone 13 or older) Apple "discreetly" makes your older phone models not work after the latest updated version, so you have to buy a new phone. This is common information that I did not know of and I was grateful to learn this from the service workers. Great service. Thank you! read more

Sohail assisted me with rebooting my 2018 MacBook Pro. I've been using it for recording sessions and ran into some issues. After troubleshooting and upgrading the OS, I realized that my DAW was incompatible with the new OS. I tried downgrading and made a terrible mistake as my computer would not turn on and was stuck in a loop. Sohail diagnosed my computer and found issues with the fan, smoke damage, and the battery. I've purchased two Apple products from Deviceland over the last 4yrs and been into their store another 4-5 times. I was there again this morning and got the kind of customer service that I always receive when I've been in there. It is always excellent! My interaction with Karen this morning was approximately 15-20min long and she listened to me and fixed my problem with a pleasant professionalism that I've come to expect every time I've been in their store. After she'd sorted out my problem, I asked how much I owed and she said "nothing at all". I insisted on giving her $20 but still felt like I'd cheated them out of the correct billing. Took my AirPod pros in for a repair. Deviseland had quoted me on the phone time wise 3-4 business days. I took them in Wednesday afternoon, when I got there I told them I was going on a trip and would be leaving Saturday. They said they would see what they could do. Well they did it! They repaired them by Friday morning. I was so happy. They told me I would have to pair the AirPods to my devices again. For some reason I had a problem. So I took them back and within 30 seconds they had it done. I'm sure it was something I was doing to make it not pair. Thank you Deviseland I will definitely be back. read more

I dropped my phone and cracked the screen for the first time ever in 13 years. Less than an hour later and for $29 I had what felt like a brand new phone (I have Apple Care+). I called Deviceland. I had no appointment. They told me to come in and that it would take two hours. They were closing in two hours. I ran a couple errands and then got the notice my phone was ready within one hour. Came here to get a battery changed on an iphone. We made an appointment. We were able to check in about 10 minutes before our appointment. Battery was changed in a little less than 2 hours. The staff was nice and quick. I'm not sure if appointments are required, but I suggest making one. The place wasn't swamped, but there was a constant flow of customers coming in. A few days ago my MacBook Pro track pad started acting wonky. Wonky meaning it wouldn't work on the bottom left corner which meant no screenshots, no highlighting, no selecting which as a photographer, creator, and coach doesn't work for me. So I took it into Deviceland and the gentleman who helped me was super friendly, kind, and helpful. He mentioned the battery might be swollen which apparently has been on the recall list for MacBooks. So he took my laptop and less than 24 hours later called me back saying it was ready and there was no charge for taking care of the recall.
