Tuesday: Laptop went black. Work IT spent an hour trying everything but no luck. Two huge filing deadlines next week. I was screwed. Deviceland was the only authorized Apple servicer that could see me that day. Dropped off the laptop. Went home angry at the world. Wednesday: Got a call from Sohail, the lead tech. He said that the part (a display card) had been ordered but he was unsure when it would arrive because the delivery service was showing only that the label had been created. He confirmed that he was able to back up my files. The following two things he did is why I am so happy: (1) Sohail carefully explained to me - a Luddite - what was damaged and what a replacement part could do to my laptop and (2) if I wanted to keep working on the two documents, he could loan me an external hard drive until my laptop was repaired. Thursday: Picked up the loaner external hard drive. Sohail did not charge me for it. Friday: Got my laptop back before lunch. It's working well! From now on, if I have any issues with any Apple product, I'm taking it to Sohail at Deviceland. No more waiting in line to see which blue T-shirt Apple genius at the Apple Store will help me. Unfortunately, my experience with this repair center was far below expectations. My laptop only needed a simple keycap replacement. While a few keys were replaced, one key that should have been addressed was completely missed, and two of the installed keycaps were improperly fitted, they weren't seated correctly. When I contacted the technician who performed the service, they dismissed the poorly installed keys as "fine to use" and insisted I trust their years of experience. They also told me to wait for a full keyboard replacement part that hadn't even been confirmed by the manufacturer/Apple. I explained that, regardless of any future replacement, the keys needed to be properly installed now so I could comfortably use my device. Instead of acknowledging the issue, the technician talked over me and continued to rely on their experience as an excuse, which is unacceptable and unprofessional. We eventually agreed, after I rearranged my own schedule, to have the technician return the next business day (this was a home-visit service) to correct their mistakes. Conveniently, they then reported a medical issue and canceled, saying they wouldn't be available until the following week, which also happened to be when they expected to hear back about the unconfirmed keyboard part. Ultimately, I had to contact Apple directly, which turned out to be the better option. Still, this repair center wasted my time and energy with misinformation, incomplete and poorly executed repairs, and an unwillingness to take responsibility. They expected me to wait on their timeline, blamed manufacturer policies and communications, and tried to steer the situation to their own convenience, all while I was left without a properly functioning computer. I do not recommend this repair center for any type of repair. You're better off dealing directly with the manufacturer or finding another service provider. read more

Had a very poor experience with them. Not sure how they are an official Apple service vendor. I asked them to replace my iPhone 14 Pro battery and they said they would not be able to without damaging and ultimately replacing the screen as well. I did not go with them and then it turns out they damaged the wireless charging as it would no longer charge wirelessly. So I'm not sure what is worse- their lack of technical ability to work on iPhone 14s or hiding that they damaged my phone. read more

Much more personalized service and they are so trustworthy and helpful! I recently got a new iPhone 16 Pro with T-Mobile and unfortunately it fell in a bowl of ketchup during vacation. I called Karen and she was super helpful. Told me to bring it in and they would diagnose it and if it was liquid in the phone my shirt would be about $29. I took it in this morning and she offered to go ahead and clean it before she ordered the part. She did a thorough and detailed cleaning and 30 minutes later my phone worked perfect and didn't cost a thing! I was also able to ask her a few other questions because I'm not very tech savvy and they always are so helpful! I have just today taken delivery of an Apple watch. Took me hours to set up, but eventually I won the day. The only thing left to do was to remove a link in the wristband. Whilst removing the link I somehow completely messed up the watch's display. There are two buttons on the Apple watch. I pressed them one at a time, both at the same time, held each one down separately for several seconds, held down both buttons at the same time for multiple seconds, every combination I could think of, nothing worked. At Deviceland I was greetd by a very pleasant young lady who had it fixed in less than five minutes. She even explained how she did it. The watch was less than a day old, I thought my $700 had disappeared into thin air. THis establishment is well worth a visit. The store was not busy at all. I hope they thrive and prosper. read more

Brought my iPhone12 mini to get a battery change. Was reassured the watertight seal will be intact after the service. Spilled water on it a week later and it immediately fried the screen. Will not repair and will not refund service cost. Told me to take it up with Apple. I will not be coming back and you should avoid it, too. Had 2 really old macs that wouldn't turn on but had all the baby pics of my kids and I needed to get those off the drive. They were upfront about possible costs and length of time. They gave me the option to buy an external drive from them or elsewhere and bring in. In the end, they got everything off, used only 1 of the drives for both computers, told me to return the other(saved me $), charged me less than original quote (more savings), super patient when I couldn't pick up for 2 weeks. Don't waste your time here. You can't trust them. I bought an M2 Mac in Sept 2022. My touchpad just started having issues yesterday. It wasn't tracking correctly (i.e., sometimes the cursor wouldn't follow my finger's movements exactly). They asked no questions (what caused it? Was water spilled? Any other problems?) and they didn't even care to try using the touchpad themselves. They immediately said, "I can do $430 for a full replacement of the keyboard and touchpad." Lol why the keyboard? So then I went to Apple. Within 2 minutes, he figured out there were some dead spots on my touchpad. He said it would be $100 for the part and $90 for the labor (labor is optional). He also explained I could buy an external touchpad for 129.99 (+tax). He gave a complete explanation and ran the appropriate tests, unlike DeviceLand lol The only good thing about DeviceLand is there was no wait. I was the only customer Bad experience. Save your time and go to Bestbuy or Apple store, they damaged the frame of my phone and said that it was already there and they don't use any kind of tools to damage the frame (yeah you lift the screen up with magic right?) and laughed about it. My passcode screen was unlocked, like how did you know my passcode and removed it from my phone? Im worrying about my personal information and bank accounts now i had to change every single password. My front camera is dusty and they left their fingerprints on it, now the pictures are blurry. My 2020 MacBook Air i3 powered off after and update and was unable to power back on. I took it to this store for a same day appointment and was emailed later that day noting that it was not repairable without significant cost. I opted to pick up the laptop and not repair it. The technician was very nice and waived the $99 diagnostic fee and further gave me guidance on how I could recycle or sell the laptop as is / for parts. They then showed me some of their showcase MacBooks as I am now looking for a new laptop. Overall the experience was extremely pleasant. I trucked it with a newborn baby all the way to an appointment just for them to tell me my 2015 Mac is considered obsolete and they won't even look at it or give an opinion on the display issue. $35 phone reset (make sure you have all of your stuff backed up through iCloud). Good deal, quick service, open schedule for appointments. My iPhone 13 got stuck on the Apple Logo after the automatic update to 18.01 (I recommend no one update to that version if you have an iPhone 13 or older) Apple "discreetly" makes your older phone models not work after the latest updated version, so you have to buy a new phone. The people who work at Deviceland have NO INTEGRITY. I had an issue with my MacBook screen that made it impossible to use/see (I had no idea why, as I didn't remember dropping it or anything). I shelled out $600 to have it fixed, only for the screen to be damaged again a few days after they returned it. Deviceland insisted that they had fixed it perfectly and that I coincidentally broke it AGAIN. They offered to repair it again .... for another $600! I'm expected to believe that days after they returned the laptop they supposedly fixed, I somehow magically had the same issue? Then I was supposed to pay twice?? THANK YOU Deviceland! I should've written a review years ago, but this time I had to write one based on all FOUR of my AWESOME experiences with computer repairs. I first found Deviceland through Apple when my son's old 13 inch MacBook Pro's screen was cracked. He'd had the computer since the 7th grade and in 2019 (12th grade) he dropped it. It was out of Apple Care warranty, so I paid to get it repaired. This computer lasted through his first year of college. A few months after I got my son's computer repaired, I dropped my 15 inch MacBook Pro and immediately went to Deviceland for repair. My computer is still running GREAT! In August 2020 prior to my son's sophomore year of college, I purchased him a new 2020 MacBook Pro 13.3" with Touch Bar and Apple Care. In December 2021 the screen became cracked! My son swore he didn't know how it cracked. I immediately made an appointment at Deviceland to get it repaired! This past Sunday, June 26th, my son and husband were horsing around and his computer screen was damaged. Unfortunately, he hadn't backed up his computer as I've told him to do biweekly. He was so upset as he had information in the computer for his current summer internship. I immediately made an appointment for Deviceland for the next day. That Monday morning, we took in his computer in and as usual the Customer Service was WONDERFUL! They had all my information in their system and told us that it would take 3 to 5 days. About an hour later I received an email that the part was ordered. The next day, Tuesday morning, around 11:45 am I received an email that the computer was ready! I wasn't surprised as the three prior cracked screen repairs were done within one to three days. I immediately went to pick it up! My son was at work and he's going to have a big surprise awaiting him. This computer has to last him through his upcoming senior year of college.
