Here is the thing. I have learned to excuse the fact that when my phone died, it was around/ between Christmas and New Years. So i will take it as a crappy time to try to have these guys order a new battery and put it in. It took 2 weeks from the time i walked in, until it was replaced and i paid my 105 bucks for the service. Now, since that time, my phone was acting up. It is now March 29, 2018. Basically 3 months later. My phone ONLY charged with one charging cord and only through my laptop. I havent gotten to stop over to talk to them about it. NOW, as of last night, my phone was 100% charged and started just randomly turning off. It did this several times in a matter of a half hour until it drained it to 0%. NOW it wont even charge. It might have been the worst 105 bucks i ever spent. I hope they make this right as 3 months of a new battery and it dies, that is pretty horrible. read more

Awful Experience. Have been to this store twice with the same iPhone 6s. First time experience wasn't the worst, I came in to replace a cracked screen for $80 and it worked fine except the 3D touch was non existent after replacement and I came back to the store with it and asked them about it and they were like "too bad, goodbye". I was just there with the same 6s today to repair water damage on it which caused only half the screen to work. I came in asking for advice on if it would be worth fixing or should I just buy a new phone and they said they would take a look at it. They some how took that question to mean repair it no matter the cost. I came back an hour later and they had replaced screen and home button and now had a broken touch ID and asked me for $140. I was shocked at the price and said I didn't want to pay it, so they offered to put it back into its original state when I had brought it in and I said yes. I came back again an hour later expecting to pick up my phone and to be done with it but then they had the audacity to ask for a $50 service charge and my end result? the same broken IPhone 6s and out 50 dollars for nothing. From the moment I sent an inquiry via Yelp, the Team at Device Surgeon was great. They gave me an accurate estimate and completed the job within hours. They spent time explaining the issue and how it may off happened as well as the repair that needed to be done. I can't recommend this place more highly - It's well named, because the proprietor knows his smart devices, how they work and how to repair them. I have a Samsung Stratosphere smartphone that stopped taking a charge after the micro USB port broke. I sent it to a shop in NYC, the repair lasted all of a month, so I put it away in my closet, pondering my next move. I work in Boonton. The "Device Surgeon" recently opened its door right on Main Street, across the street and a few doors downhill from the Post Office. I dug out my Stratosphere and asked Alper (the owner) to give it a look and to give me an estimate, if it was worth fixing. He had it diagnosed in no time; re-soldered some connections and $49 later it's working better than ever, saving me many hundreds of $$ in replacement cost. Got a portable device that need attention?
