Honestly, I don't even know how the cleaning is. Had high hopes since the lady I spoke with originally was super nice and all...I have been waiting for an hour, they were supposed to be here at 7 a.m., haven't been to bed yet...they never showed or called. I have also been calling the business line for over 40 minutes and whomever is in the "call center" is not answering. Got a call yesterday (8/12/13) for what I thought was going to be a rescheduling from the "computer error" for the reasoning behind not showing up last time. I was informed that instead of trying to redeem themselves and throwing in an "extra" they were going to have living social/ amazon refund the purchase because of the yelp post. I'm glad they are doing that even though it was a gift because after reading their site the cleaning is strictly wiping down surfaces only...that isn't actual cleaning. And! They can show up either an hour early or an hour late without letting you know. read more

Worst cleaning job ever!!! I have a 3500 sq foot house- I was only expecting the downstairs to be done in the 2 hrs I had paid for (living social $80)... not even close. apparently they dont vaccuum hard wood floors but they supposedly mopped (only a couple rooms were horribly mopped). Dust is still in every corner. The 2 cleaners moved like snails. Please do not purchase their cleaning service, it is the worst job ever. I would recommend Yanira 602-518-9253. I had a Living Social deal for housecleaning by this company, and I was very pleased with the job they did. They arrived an hour early, but I was told on the phone that they might be early, so I was fine with it. Two women came out and spent two hours cleaning my house, and they did an excellent job. They were also very friendly and asked if I wanted certain things done. I even saw one of them on their hands and knees cleaning my floor and baseboards! We have lots of knick knacks on our dressers and wall units, so I'm sure it wasn't easy for them to dust. It was so nice to just be able to relax while someone else cleaned my house. I'm a nurse and work hard, so the last thing I want to do on my days off is clean. I'm planning on having them come and clean my house once a month. I think it will be the best money I ever spend, and their prices are very reasonable. My mother pays $40 more with another company and her house is just a little bigger than ours and they only clean half of it each month, plus the bathrooms, and she doesn't even let them dust very much. Do yourself a favor and skip this one. I have unfortunately had a terrible experience, and it looks like I'm not the only one. The service was well below average (putting it nicely), and the customer service has been awful. Details are below if you care to read on... I asked for the 4-hour cleaning service. I did not realize it was only 1.5 hours with 3 people cleaning. No one clarified that with me when I booked, or when they arrived. I left them at the house and went to run errands. They called within 45 minutes telling me they were almost done. It was BARELY an hour of work. I tried to get home quickly to pay them, but when I arrived home, they were gone (and had said I'd have to pay over the phone and let them know if they missed anything). Inside I found most surfaces were barely wiped down with streak marks remaining, and many were still dusty and/or sticky! It was clearly a rushed job. My kitchen table still had sticky residue in some areas. Also an entire bathroom was left un-cleaned, which they later said was because the door was closed and they're "not allowed to open doors." That's fair, but this was NEVER communicated to me at any point before the service. I called the team to come back later that afternoon to finish, and I had to keep my kids up from naps so they could finish (other parents will understand how ABSURD that is for a tired momma). When they returned, I thanked them for coming to finish and one of the women scoffed at me for leaving the bathroom door shut (though, again, this was NEVER communicated to me). She said she'd "let it slide this time." I politely ignored her smug remark, and showed them all the areas to finish. The same woman, who claimed to be a manager, asked me for my credit card to pay and I politely and kindly told her I wanted to call the company myself and pay over the phone. She insisted that I pay her, so I told her I was really interested in speaking with whomever was in charge so I could clarify the hours before paying (since they rushed and did a half-a**ed job). Again, I was polite about it, yet this woman immediately changed her tone on me, began snapping at me and demanding I tell her what the problem was. So I patiently explained that I was disappointed they missed so much and she proceeded to scoff at me, rolling her eyes, and continuing to make excuses and treat me rudely. She actually admitted to me at one point that they all "SAT AROUND MY HOUSE FOR ABOUT 20 MIN at the end" waiting for me to get back...to which I politely asked why they didn't just finish the job then?!?! (Not to mention...I'm not sure how I feel about them sitting on my brand new clean couches in dirty house cleaning clothes...unprofessional). I finally insisted that she just let me pay her so they could get out of my house, and she said her phone died so she WROTE MY CREDIT CARD INFO ON A PIECE OF PAPER...WHAT?? Sooooo very unprofessional...in every way. I tried calling them later to make sure my info was destroyed and the payment processed, but no one returned my call for two whole days, and I had to leave two messages. When someone did call, the lady already sounded irked to have to "deal" with me, and said my info had been shredded. When I asked, nicely, if I could speak with the person in charge, she got defensive, admitting that she had spoken to the women who cleaned and they had "explained" to her how they were right and I was wrong. Since this woman was not the one in charge, I told her I still wanted to speak with the owner (or supervisor or whomever). She begrudgingly said she'd have them call me. It has been SIX days and still no one has called. I wash my hands of this company, and will be checking my account to make sure no one is using my CC info...I certainly have no reason to trust their word after their completely unprofessional behavior. read more

Same general experience as Susan L. This was for "four man hours" which was 2 people for two hours for $80 (this was described on the living social deal). They arrive 10 minutes late (in their defense, they called to tell us) but stopped cleaning 5-10 minutes early because they called two minutes before the two hour mark telling me they left already. We also have an 1100 sq ft house so 2 hours with two people should be adequate time to go down their checklist they give you. They called saying they weren't able to vacuum our stairs (we have 10 stairs) and couldn't do any floors upstairs. So the two bathrooms upstairs were half done with the floors remaining dirty. I specifically asked for them to lock the bottom lock of our front door as they left and they did not, so my house was completely unlocked for a few hours until I was able to get back there from work. In summary, I paid for 2 hours and got around 20 minutes less and they left my house unlocked and half my bathrooms dirty, and my stairs not vacuumed. The stairs and bathrooms were on their "check list". Goes without saying I will never use them again and will recommend anyone to go elsewhere. I called three different numbers to give this business my feedback and couldn't get through. One number listed as a phone contact was a fax machine. read more

I've been using Designed by Dyani for a few months now and am happy with the service and price. I initially found them through Living Social and was happy with the job they did so I signed up to continue with a monthly cleaning. Dyani is very professional and addresses any concerns quickly and personally. The cleaners leave a checklist of what they have completed after each cleaning and are thorough and pleasant. Designed by Dyani was just at my house. After they left I wanted to see what experiences others had... so here we are... I wish there were more. But since there are not - this was my experience: They called ahead of time because they had a cancellation and could come early! Wonderful! The 3 agents (?) were pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. I had the living social deal -- which $52 to get my downstairs generally cleaned is OUTSTANDING!!!! I knew it was going to be a "general" cleaning ... I think it is a good trial. They were here for an hour. They did a good job. They left a couple things out of place... and the dusting could be more thorough. But it was only an hour. I have a lot of knick knacks. My downstairs bathroom is clean. My kitchen is clean and my floors are clean! I am going to give them a try regularly! read more

I would not be writing this review if I had not experienced a multitude of problems with Designed By Dyani House Cleaning Service. To start, I had purchased a LivingSocial for 3 man hours for a general house cleaning. I have a 3 bedroom home 2 bath, very simple clutter free, with one room only having a treadmill. On the crews first visit several things had been missed. In the kitchen the microwave, kitchen sink, toaster oven and the counter where the toaster oven sits. The laundry room was not touched, they only have to wipe window sill, top of rubber maid cabinet, washer and dryer. Bathrooms appeared to only be sprayed down and wiped with a cloth that includes toilets, shower and bath tub. But because I was looking to have my home cleaned on a bi-weekly basis I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and try again. I did contact the owner and expressed my concerns, which she said she would address with the crew and come as well on my next scheduled date. She also gave me a $20 discount. When the owner came things seemed to be more satisfactory. However, long story short I have used this company for about 3 months on a bi-weekly basis and each time several things were incomplete. I called to cancel my cleaning the day before and informed them that I would no longer need their services. The owner was very rude and said I would be charged a $40 fee. She said because I did not cancel 24 hours in advance. It was 10 minutes past, come on all that had been missed on several occasions. I wanted her to know too all that had missed again on my last cleaning. I was only able to tell her about my floors and she told me she didn't believe it, and hung up on me. Several things were missed on the check off list, which is pre-checked. I'm glad I did not give them my credit card to keep on file, which is what they ask for when becoming a regular client. If I had done that I'm sure I would be out $40. read more

I would strongly advise against using this company. The front door was left open and ajar with the key in the door. The most concerning part is that the owner was not even aware that the key was missing. Upon speaking with her, she offered a plethora of excuses and never took responsibility. There service sucks, not only did they show up late but had crack heads working for them not PROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!!!!! ,I had money missing and jewelry missing which was my great grandmothers and isn't replaceable. They only cleaned for 30 minutes and left didn't do a good job on my kitchen food every where still and the bathroom mirrors weren't cleaned the floors were still dirty, I am a busy mother of two with a career my time is very tight so if you want a Good and PROFESSIONAL company I suggest a big company like Cleaning Authority's, or something, because they didn't even wanna give me my money back for the shitty service they did!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't usually bother to write reviews on Yelp, but I felt the need to warn people of this business. I had my house cleaned today by Designs by Dyani using a Living Social deal I had for 3 hours of cleaning for $52. I speak with the woman to schedule, and the deal is apparently three cleaners for one hour instead. Ok, I'm thinking they can still cover a lot in my small house, considering it only takes me 1- 2 hours to do the whole house myself. (House is less than 1100 sq ft with one bedroom not cleaned.) So the cleaners come out and state they're just going to do a general clean, not deep cleaning. I leave, and when I return after 45 mins, their stuff is already packed up and I'm meeting them in the driveway. (Odd, since the deal was for an hour.) I review the checklist of items they supposedly cleaned, and I can tell they didn't do half of it, like wipe down the front of the microwave. The worst part of the whole experience? The woman calls me later to get info on my Living Social deal (which was fine), but then proceeds to tell me how she saw before and after pictures of my stove and how much cleaner it looks! So in addition to the half-assed cleaning job, I'm throughly creeped out that they were taking pictures of my house! What else were they taking pictures of? Very bizarre, and glad I'm only out $52. read more
