She gave me correct parking instructions compared to other instructors. We did a lot of practice and she took me to roads that were hard and tough to drive. She was also flexible and allowed me to take night classes that worked around my work schedule. The bad thing was almost every class was late at night when the sky was pitch black although it did challenge me enough to drive through the streets in the dark. So that was good preparation for the exam. Luckily I passed the exam with her.

My driving instructor, Frank Dao, is hands down the best instructor I have ever had. After going through multiple instructors at another driving school who never took the time to explain my weaknesses or how to improve, working with Frank was a game changer. He clearly explains mistakes, makes sure you understand how to correct them, and gives detailed, practical tips for everything, from mastering turns to parallel parking. Thanks to Gold Success and Frank's incredible instruction, I passed my road test, and I am truly grateful. I couldn't recommend them more!

I did receive a refund for my unused portions of the package I paid for. I enrolled as a complete beginner and made that very clear from the start. Instead of receiving patient instruction, I experienced an instructor (Michael) who became frustrated with beginner mistakes and raised his voice during lessons. It was also extremely fast paced for a 20 lesson full package deal. On my third day I was being taught a 3 point turn and parallel parking when I was not comfortable turning onto roads and being centered on roads. There were also communication and scheduling issues. On one occasion, I arrived for what I believed was my scheduled lesson, only to find out the time had been changed without any phone call, email, or text notification. Despite the instructor being available, I spent approximately 40 minutes sitting in the vehicle while he stopped at McDonald's and handled personal matters rather than conducting the lesson. During multiple lessons, the instructor took lengthy personal phone calls while I was in the car, including highly personal conversations that contained inappropriate language. As a student learning to drive for the first time, I expected my instructor's full attention and professionalism, not distractions and personal matters. What ultimately made me decide to leave was being told after only three lessons that my remaining lessons and road test had been canceled because I was allegedly "too nervous." I had attended every lesson, was eager to learn, and had only just begun driving. Although I was offered another instructor, by that point I had lost confidence in the school's professionalism and chose to seek instruction elsewhere. Additionally, while waiting for one of my lessons, I overheard another student discussing a negative experience he had with an instructor named Frank. Under normal circumstances I would not place much weight on another student's experience alone. However, after everything I had personally experienced, hearing another student express similar frustrations further reduced my confidence in the school as a whole. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this driving school.

Called to ask for more info and the receptionist (sajida) was extremely sweet and helpful, she said I could pass by same day and so, I did. Since I'm in the midst of moving to NJ I needed to start my lessons quickly. On the same day sajida arranged with my instructor Rahim (he is also in charge of everything). Once another young lady took care of me while I was at their office a little earlier before my second lesson and she was super nice too! Rahim is an older man who is very straight to the point and answered all my questions, he lets you drive and explains as you go. Because of his accent it may be hard to understand certain things sometimes, but it's not difficult. I would recommend him as an instructor. He was my instructor for 3 out the 5 lessons. Then came Iman (not sure if that's how his name its spell) he is a young guy, explains things very easily, I took my last 2 lessons with him and we concentrated mostly on parallel parking and broken U-turn. He also explains every mistake and what not to do that will get you an automatic fail. Iman also took me to the road test today and I PASSED! ON MY FIRST TRY. I combined Rahim and Iman's way of teaching and thanks to that I must say I did it. I will bring my husband and mother to take their lessons here very soon!

Well, lack of experience and practice) I appreciate Kim's help in the overall process and think she's a good teacher with patience and solid teaching skills. Different from what a driving school is like from what I heard from other friends, this driving school is more professional, not allowing the students take the DVD home to "have the video lecture". Cons: it's more expensive ($450 vs $300 for 7.5 hr lesson and road test) than the driving schools in Flushing. But if you live in Manhattan, it will save you about an hour each round trip. And I agree with Aisha that sometimes the time management has some problems. I also got some situations where I have to wait for other students to finish first although this is already my reserved time. The same thing even happens before today's road test. But fortunately we still make it. That made me put it 4 stars rather than 5.

I was told by my instructor that she would pick me up at 1pm . 1:00pm rolls around and nobody is there so I call her and she tells me 1:30. Okay, I thought, no big deal since my test is at 3pm. 1:30 rolls around and nobody is there to pick me up. I start calling and no answer. I call their office and I'm told to not "freak out" because she's probably held up in traffic. 1:45pm. 2:00pm. It's now one hour before my driving test, and it takes half an hour just to drive to the testing site from my home. 2:10pm. The instructor shows up, completely unapologetic and full of excuses. It takes almost an hour just to drive to the testing site and I received NO lesson (which I paid for. Anybody could have taken me to the testing site. What am I paying you $95 for???) After I am dropped off to my home afterwards, I immediately head to their office to speak with the manager. The "manager" looked like a teenage boy and smelled like weed and alcohol. I maintained my composure and very respectfully told him I did not receive what I paid for. This young man was NOTHING BUT RUDE in return, to the extent that I had to leave the office without a refund, without even a discount for a future lesson. He made no sense what so ever, telling me to "look at the weather outside" before asking why the instructor was late. This idiot even asked me if my boyfriend is ever late picking me up. THAT WAS IT. I WAS OUT OF THERE. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL. They do not care about you once they get your money in their pockets.
