I failed the road test 3 times before I met with Gigi. Back then, I failed because the instructor I had didn't teach me everything I needed to know, but let me take the road test anyway because all he cared about was making more money for the company and himself. I waited 8 more years before trying again and I decided on Hybrid Driving school. At first I was nervous about signing up since the school is new and doesn't have many reviews, but the reviews I read were all positive, so I decided to give it a go. One month and a half later I have my driver's license. The license proves it, Hybrid Driving school is worth the investment. Gigi is by far the best instructor. Strict, but she's knowledgeable and most important, she's honest. If she thinks you need more lessons before the road test she will tell you so. If she thinks you shouldn't sign up for anymore lessons she will tell you so. She isn't motivated by money, but by seeing her students succeed. If that's not enough reason to try Hybrid I don't know what is! On the negative side, it's a small school and sometimes getting in touch with the receptionist is tricky. Just be patient and keep trying. They will have more staff soon enough when they expand. I would definitely go back to Hybrid for all my driving needs. They also offer a defensive driving course that will save on your car insurance and if you need health insurance, talk to Gigi and she'll see what she can do to help you. Overall, highly recommended. read more

Gigi to the rescue!! I didn't take any driving lessons from here but I did use their car and had Gigi as my licensed driver take me to my road test. I had a situation where the driver and car I had all set to take me to my road test bailed on me the day before. I called dozens of schools but they could not or did not want to accommodate me unless I was also taking a lesson plus it was such short notice. Finally, thankfully I happened upon Hybrid. Gigi answered the phone and at first I didn't think she was going to be able to help me. But I think she heard the desperation in my voice and told me to hold on. She made it happen! For the record I am an experienced driver but had a situation where I lost my license. She gave me a few tips to remember on the way there and I passed. Gigi is super knowledgeable and as many have stated, has a way of teaching that instills confidence and it sticks. I highly recommend Hybrid Driving School! My daughter is of age and will soon be taking lessons here. read more

Going to hybrid driving school was the best idea that my mom made for me. I love it there! I wanna give a huge thank you to Gigi who is an amazing teacher! The best instructor that you can ever have who taught me so well the first day of the 5hr class and the first time she taught me how to drive. Most importantly she is all about teaching you to become a safe driver. Because of Gigi and how good she teaches she is kind, caring and patient. She is there for you especially when you're nervous. She calm me down the day of my road test talking to me about her different experiences as a driver and believing in me that I can pass my test. But when I took my test today of course I was nervous but I PASS cause I remember all the techniques that Gigi taught me and I'm truly thankful for her. I highly recommend Hybrid Driving School and going to Gigi to be your instructor! She's the best !! Thank you GIGI!! Once again :)!!! read more

I highly recommend Hybrid driving school. Gigi helped me every step of the way and I passed the test today on my first try! I recommend that even if you know how to drive, you still get at least one driving lesson before the test. Gigi will explain everything the instructor will be evaluating you and your chances of passing the test are higher. Another reason to go with this school: prices are fair and if you need a car to take the test they'll also provide it for you (ask for the convos). Very convenient location, close to the Woodside station on the 7 train in Queens. Better than anything though is Gigi's teachings, tips and deep knowledge about what to do and not to do when it comes to driving safely and passing the test. It was a great experience and couldn't be happier with her service...thank you Gigi!! read more

I had no experience in driving but with the help of my instructor, I made it on my road test! I failed my road test on the first try but my instructor encouraged me not to stop and keep trying. (Actually I failed my first try because I did not listen to her that I needed more practice but I insisted to take my road test instead of listening to her... Well anyway I've already learned my lessons of not listening to her). You'll never regret having Miss Gigi as your instructor because she taught me very well on how to parallel park in 3 easy steps and guess what I've got "0" point on my parallel parking during my road test. Just Wow!!! Isn't it amazing I've got "0" point on my parallel parking for a person like me who had no experience at all in driving. Good Job Miss Gigi. read more

In less than 3 weeks time, I was able complete driving lessons, 5-Hr Pre-Licensing Course and PASS my Road Test (yay!!!!) Ms. GIGI made sure to secure me a schedule at the DMV for my Road Test given my so short notice. My driving instructor TENZIN was very patient, strict but calm and professional ensuring that I learn every traffic rules and the safe and correct maneuvers of the wheels from driving straight, to turning left and right, to parking and broken U-turns. He even was continuously giving me tips on safe driving on our way back to the driving school after passing my road test. Office staff are so polite too. I really had a fun time learning how to drive and be a licensed driver with Hybrid Driving School. Thank you so much for all you help. read more

I passed!! I really cannot say enough great things about Hybrid Driving School, Gigi, and her team of instructors. I'm embarrassed to say that I have been on a journey to get my license for quite a while, and have taken lessons with a number of driving schools. At Hybrid, I felt a genuine care and interest in me being successful and achieving my goal. I always learned such great practical tips and clear techniques to help with my driving. I took lessons with Gigi and Panna; both were always encouraging, positive and uplifting. Also, everyone was always friendly and personable during lessons (which, I think, helps a lot when you're nervous or unsure...driving can be a little stressful when you're still learning)! I would absolutely recommend Hybrid! read more

I strongly recommend Hybrid Driving School and especially Gigi. I was a first time driver, and thanks to Gigi, in two weeks time, I learned how to drive, passed the road test with first attempt and had a road trip the next week . Gigi has all the qualifications and skills for a great instructor. She accommodated my schedule and helped me with all the steps , from the 5 hour Mandatory Certificate to scheduling the road test, and driving me there on the day of the test. She was patient and very attentive to what I needed more practice on. She taught me exactly what was needed for the road test, no surprises. Her rates are very competitive and you get a great value out of it. Thanks Gigi and Hybrid Driving School. read more

Definitely recommending Hybrid Driving School. I just passed my road test. I went to many driving schools in Queens, so I can safely say Hybrid Driving school is the best. Hector is super patient and very courteous. If you're someone who struggles with driving anxiety and parking, he's the person who can best prepare you. Gigi is great too. She makes sure you're a satisfied customer. She works with you and tailors a schedule that best works for you. Very honest with what you need for the road test and after. I had a great experience in Hybrid driving school. They were very fast to organize the 5h online class & arrange the training sessions. All the transactions were online. I used to drive in a different country but took 5 absolute necessary training sessions with Gigi & Susan. All the points they made were valuable & helpful during the test. Gigi gives you the confidence you need to drive and you feel her support like a close friend and doesn't let you feel alone for the test :) read more

Had a really great time with miss Gigi! Very Convenient schedule times and quick to respond back. Had 0 driving experience but was quickly able to pick it up because of her being quick to teaching and drilling what exactly needs to be done. Will give good feedback of what exactly is needed to relearn or continue to improve. Also gives ample time before test to get more practice in. I HIGHLY recommend Hybrid Driving School. I started driving lessons with Gigi, who is the owner, in September. After the first lesson, she told me I will pass the road test in mid-October. She was right. Today is 10/16 and I passed the road test! Gigi is not only a great teacher but is also very passionate about teaching. I'm so happy that she was the one who taught me how to drive.
