I failed the road test 3 times before I met with Gigi. Back then, I failed because the instructor I had didn't teach me everything I needed to know, but let me take the road test anyway because all he cared about was making more money for the company and himself. I waited 8 more years before trying again and I decided on Hybrid Driving school. At first I was nervous about signing up since the school is new and doesn't have many reviews, but the reviews I read were all positive, so I decided to give it a go. One month and a half later I have my driver's license. The license proves it, Hybrid Driving school is worth the investment. Gigi is by far the best instructor. Strict, but she's knowledgeable and most important, she's honest. If she thinks you need more lessons before the road test she will tell you so. If she thinks you shouldn't sign up for anymore lessons she will tell you so. She isn't motivated by money, but by seeing her students succeed. If that's not enough reason to try Hybrid I don't know what is! On the negative side, it's a small school and sometimes getting in touch with the receptionist is tricky. Just be patient and keep trying. They will have more staff soon enough when they expand. I would definitely go back to Hybrid for all my driving needs. They also offer a defensive driving course that will save on your car insurance and if you need health insurance, talk to Gigi and she'll see what she can do to help you. Gigi to the rescue!! I didn't take any driving lessons from here but I did use their car and had Gigi as my licensed driver take me to my road test. I had a situation where the driver and car I had all set to take me to my road test bailed on me the day before. I called dozens of schools but they could not or did not want to accommodate me unless I was also taking a lesson plus it was such short notice. Finally, thankfully I happened upon Hybrid. Gigi answered the phone and at first I didn't think she was going to be able to help me. But I think she heard the desperation in my voice and told me to hold on. She made it happen! For the record I am an experienced driver but had a situation where I lost my license. She gave me a few tips to remember on the way there and I passed. Gigi is super knowledgeable and as many have stated, has a way of teaching that instills confidence and it sticks. I highly recommend Hybrid Driving School! I highly recommend Hybrid driving school. Gigi helped me every step of the way and I passed the test today on my first try! I recommend that even if you know how to drive, you still get at least one driving lesson before the test. Gigi will explain everything the instructor will be evaluating you and your chances of passing the test are higher. Another reason to go with this school: prices are fair and if you need a car to take the test they'll also provide it for you (ask for the convos). Very convenient location, close to the Woodside station on the 7 train in Queens. Better than anything though is Gigi's teachings, tips and deep knowledge about what to do and not to do when it comes to driving safely and passing the test. I was taking driving classes with Gigi , she is so nice , comunicative , profesional , she teaches you on right way how supposed to and how to make you confortable driving , how to become a safe driver. I had no experience in driving but with the help of my instructor, I made it on my road test! I failed my road test on the first try but my instructor encouraged me not to stop and keep trying. (Actually I failed my first try because I did not listen to her that I needed more practice but I insisted to take my road test instead of listening to her... Well anyway I've already learned my lessons of not listening to her). You'll never regret having Miss Gigi as your instructor because she taught me very well on how to parallel park in 3 easy steps and guess what I've got "0" point on my parallel parking during my road test. In less than 3 weeks time, I was able complete driving lessons, 5-Hr Pre-Licensing Course and PASS my Road Test (yay!!!!) Ms. GIGI made sure to secure me a schedule at the DMV for my Road Test given my so short notice. My driving instructor TENZIN was very patient, strict but calm and professional ensuring that I learn every traffic rules and the safe and correct maneuvers of the wheels from driving straight, to turning left and right, to parking and broken U-turns. He even was continuously giving me tips on safe driving on our way back to the driving school after passing my road test. Office staff are so polite too. I finally passed the actual driving test last October 22, 2018 (horraay!!!) after failing 3x from a different driving school which I felt like I was just being exploited for their profit!!!
