I had my first lesson today with Lou, he was patient and very informative. He gave great direction and put me at ease. I was extremely nervous and anxious before pulling off, my heart was racing so fast but Lou calmed me down and assured me that everything would be okay. I was in a car accident a few years ago and it freaked me out so bad that I stopped driving, now I'm ready to take back control of my life and get on the road again. I would definitely recommend Atlas driving school, my only negative is that they're calendar is booked and it may be hard to get a lesson when you want but what that says to me is they are really good at what they do. read more

My review is long overdue but where would I be without atlas driving school? I got my license at 17, on my first try and I could not have done it without Benji. The packages are decent, I was a terrible driver so I got the package that included 10 driving lessons, 5hr class, appointment for road test and the car for the road test. Benji was patient with me and really explained the best way to go about the road test and driving in general. He was funny and eased my nerves as a first time driver. Just went for my road test this past Wednesday, it was my second time taking it but my first time taking it through Atlas school. I had Luis as my instructor and he was great! He was very direct and explained exactly what i needed to do to pass. And in the mist of his direction he sure did add his humor which helped me with my nerves and helped me relax. First, let me start off by saying that searching to find the right cdl school was no easy task, especially since you hear about all the horror stories people go thru; either to much money or poor instructors. I am happy to say that I really lucked out by going to Atlas and having 2 outstanding instructors work with me (Jim & Chris). They made me feel comfortable by providing constructive criticism and not treating me like an atm---which I am sorry to say is the typical experience when reading reviews of other driving schools. Today I took my test scheduled for 10 am and they had me and another student go there at 7 am (they open at 9 am) for a thorough review and it worked we both passed and it was raining all day. Alex (the owner) and Maria work with you to customize classes around your schedule. Do what I did, go check out the office, the bus is right out front, ask a ton of questions and you will be pleasantly surprised at how efficient they operate. For the price the service I received was above par. My girlfriend needs to get her regular license and i am sending her there for classes. UPDATE: my girlfriend passed it on the first try, due to the great team and personal service. read more

I Would recommend this school to anyone who has no experience driving. My instructor Luis was very helpful he can be a little hard on you but he wants you to really learn it the right way. I bought 10 lessons from this school, I work full time as well as being a full time mommy and this school really came through for me and my busy schedule, the instructor Benji was great and very calming, I was very nervous entering the car but he assured me I wouldn't crash which made me feel safe learning how to drive. The day of my road test I was very nervous but he assured me I would pass and gave me tips on the way over there. It worked because I passed on the first try even though I was nervous !! My experience at this driving school was the worst. I had taken the 15 lesson package with Lou, if you ask me he shouldn't be teaching people how to drive with his cranky attitude. He needs to retire if he doesn't have the patience. Never in my life had I ever felt so disrespected and unconfident in learning how to do something. Being as nervous as I was in the beginning, he forgot I had never driven a car before. Each lesson he would yell at me and complain making my self confidence go down. He felt like he could talk to me however he wanted and while teaching me how to drive he was easily annoyed if I made a simple mistake. Numerous amount of times he would yank the steering wheel from my hand and scrape me with his fingers or elbow me. He told me I wouldn't pass my road test. One time he yelled at a lady driving behind us and he wouldn't stop shouting in the car or brush it off, he let her mistake get to him. A driver instructor should encourage you and praise you when you do something right and show you your mistake instead of yelling and rudely pulling the wheel from you. Many times I wanted to just get out of the car and just walk back home but I didn't. I wanted to just cancel my lessons with Lou. Instead I stayed I wanted to get my license hoping each time it would be different. But it wasn't, I wasted over $500.00 on lessons with him and I didn't even get my license. Don't go to this driving school they only care about the money and not about making sure you understand how to drive. This place doesn't even deserve any stars but I have no choice but to put at least one. Go to some place else if you want someone who has the time and patience with you. read more

worst school they have good instructor but the implemented system is not good. instead of using one instructor for one student; they are using three instructors for one students which brings a lot of confusion and beware that they are not giving you the proper Road lessons to pass if that's not stop at the "stop sign " or call out everything you see..... if you want a good school find it somewhere else. they wasted my time and my money and i was recommended by a coworker to go there but i definitely regret it........ read more
