This is coming from someone who…read morehas had a fear of driving for years & years as I have driven overseas always with someone beside me since I was 19 where there are no traffic rules & around aggressive drivers which made me hate driving. Fast forward to now in my mid 30s i was still finding it very hard to grasp all the driving rules here & not to get easily distracted. I found David through my husband whom his whole family used & recommended after a bunch of lessons with different driving schools, as well as driving with a family member & a couple of failed road tests, & finally I passed my road test when I took my lessons with David! Not only did I pass my test with only 1 mistake but also he really helped me big time to become confident behind the steering wheel & to be in control, less nervous & hesitant. I really recommend working with him especially if you are having a hard time with driving. Thank you David!

I took lessons with Joseph last year and he taught me to drive well. He is a patient and…read moreknowledgeable instructor. However, I also found him to be unprofessional and creepy at times. I am a quiet person and while I was polite and receptive to his small talk, I did not initiate or engage with it more than necessary. He made jokes about this after every single session saying that I "talked too much." Annoying, but not a big deal. However, after one particular session, when he dropped me off, he joked by telling me to "be a good girl or your mom won't give you a lollipop." You cannot make this shit up. Who says that?? I felt uncomfortable and repulsed by this strange comment. Once I passed my driving test, he handed me a stack of flyers for his driving school and asked me to put them up around my college campus to advertise him. I thought this was very unprofessional. He also took it upon himself to use some of our lessons as "highway practice" rather than preparing me for the driving test, clearly as a way to get more lessons and money out of me. In my opinion, if you are a young girl learning to drive who is not very assertive or talkative, he will take advantage of that. But take this as you will.

A few years ago I made a decision to get my driver's license, I tried, and failed the exam. I gave up on it and in 2025 found Mr. YANG's driving school, and decided to give it a try based on the reviews. I went with the 10 lesson unlimited driving exam option. All of my interactions with the owner Kenny, Nazia and my instructor Oscar were amazing. They are genuinely kind people that want you to learn to drive and pass the exam. I felt very supported throughout the entire process. Unfortunately, I ended up failing two more times. Honestly I was ready to give up. Nazia was a great encouragement as she booked additional lessons. Oscar really worked on getting my confidence up and reviewing my weak areas. This is very important whenever you're trying to learn a new skill. Oscar was very good at explaining the skills needed to pass the actual road test. I was finally able to pass the road test on my 3rd try! If you're a nervous driver I would recommend going with the driving packages that let you take the test as many times as you need. The most important thing is to keep pushing past the disappointment and continue to practice. Thank you so much Oscar and the team at Mr. YANG!

He made sure I got plenty of practice on the things I struggled with, going over them until I felt confident. One thing that made a big difference for me was that he spoke Spanish. Being able to ask questions and understand everything in my native language made me feel much more comfortable. Overall, it was a really positive experience and I'd definitely recommend them!

My driving instructor, Frank Dao, is hands down the best instructor I have ever had. After going through multiple instructors at another driving school who never took the time to explain my weaknesses or how to improve, working with Frank was a game changer. He clearly explains mistakes, makes sure you understand how to correct them, and gives detailed, practical tips for everything, from mastering turns to parallel parking. Thanks to Gold Success and Frank's incredible instruction, I passed my road test, and I am truly grateful. I couldn't recommend them more!

Unfortunately, my experience with this driving school was extremely disappointing and ended up…read morebeing a waste of both time and money. I did receive a refund for my unused portions of the package I paid for. I enrolled as a complete beginner and made that very clear from the start. Instead of receiving patient instruction, I experienced an instructor (Michael) who became frustrated with beginner mistakes and raised his voice during lessons. It was also extremely fast paced for a 20 lesson full package deal. On my third day I was being taught a 3 point turn and parallel parking when I was not comfortable turning onto roads and being centered on roads. There were also communication and scheduling issues. On one occasion, I arrived for what I believed was my scheduled lesson, only to find out the time had been changed without any phone call, email, or text notification. Despite the instructor being available, I spent approximately 40 minutes sitting in the vehicle while he stopped at McDonald's and handled personal matters rather than conducting the lesson. During multiple lessons, the instructor took lengthy personal phone calls while I was in the car, including highly personal conversations that contained inappropriate language. As a student learning to drive for the first time, I expected my instructor's full attention and professionalism, not distractions and personal matters. What ultimately made me decide to leave was being told after only three lessons that my remaining lessons and road test had been canceled because I was allegedly "too nervous." I had attended every lesson, was eager to learn, and had only just begun driving. Although I was offered another instructor, by that point I had lost confidence in the school's professionalism and chose to seek instruction elsewhere. Additionally, while waiting for one of my lessons, I overheard another student discussing a negative experience he had with an instructor named Frank. Under normal circumstances I would not place much weight on another student's experience alone. However, after everything I had personally experienced, hearing another student express similar frustrations further reduced my confidence in the school as a whole. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this driving school.

They're unprofessional and extremely hard to work with. Joyce is the sole person scheduling things, and she is horrible at her job. They do not give you your 5-hour cert. They hold on to it, so you can only schedule your road test through them, and you cannot schedule it yourself. They add on months of wait time, as opposed to 1-2 months if you scheduled it yourself. I paid around 1k for 10 lessons, which turned out to actually be five 90-minute lessons. Very misleading!! I have had 2 instructors from them. The first one, Jason, was unreachable after 2 lessons, for some reason. He was okay at his job, not super motivating, but did what he needed to do. Joyce offered to switch instructors for the rest of my lessons, and oh my god. My second instructor, Johnm, was so unprofessional and mean. He NEVER gave me positive feedback, only mumbling about how horrible I was at each and every turn. He was smoking cigarettes before and after every lesson, which isn't necessarily a problem, but very unprofessional to do in front of the client and made the car smell. One time, he cut one of my lessons early cause he wanted a car wash. We got out of the car, and he lit up a cigarette as I just awkwardly watched the car go through. I could not believe this was the lesson I paid for. I did not even end up finishing my course with them, because every lesson felt like a humiliation ritual. I couldn't even get a hold of my 5 hr cert, so I started over at another driving school and passed my test on my first try with a perfect score.

BTW on my last review I said about jet driving school. After taking 3 lessons with the instructor who seem like she owns that place, I cancelled. Instructor super strict with super old car that will not work with new drivers like us. I recommend Totally Cool Driving School anytime. My next road test is on June with same school . Goodluck! Hey Yelpers, I decided to review my experience here. My first time driving. Have a road test scheduled for May 3. So you bet that Im coming back to update my result. So my instructor is Teresa. Yes I have read all the reviews. Yes she is lesbian. No she does not flirt like someone else said. She has some instances like make stuff sound flirty and when laughing she would have some funny gestures, but thats it. People only get distracted and uncomfortable when a person with different sexual preferences do it. Just pay attention to your driving. Your not there to feel other thing than driving. Btw Im a 100% straight. I just think if a person cannot learn with a lesbian instructor ask not to have her. If your only feeling uncomfortable, You wont learn anything. So yeah I have taken 8 classes and just missing 2 of them. Teresa does be on her phone alot, but she will teach you good things. So Im close to my road test so I decided to book with Jet driving school for the next two weeks. Im so glad I did for my last two weeks because I have so much to learn. And its true Teresa never helped me have wheel control. No teaching that I have to move to different sides whenever Im turning. She hasnt help with many stuff. Ill say one cool thing about this school. Is that they have new cars. You can take their car to the road test with no doubt, but jet driving school still have old cars. So they are amazing to practice and brush up, but not to take on road test. At the end this is a great school just dont stick only with one because others have many stuff to teach ya. Plus this jet driving school had everyday I needed. They arent overbooked like cool driving school.
