Desert Discount Cleaners has ALWAYS done an EXCELLENT job on our dry cleaning. We've been using them for about 5 years and never had a complaint. We just recently moved from La Quinta to Sun City, which is about 20 minutes down Washington from DDC. We've tried to find another cleaners in our area, but not any good experience, so, we will be making the trip up Washington to Desert Discount Cleaners...it's worth the extra time to get to them! read more

I brought in some clothes to be cleaned back in February. All were returned except for a dress shirt. It was explained to me that the shirt probably was still "at the plant" - apparently Desert Discount utilizes a central facility for the actual cleaning and everything is then trucked back to individual stores. When the shirt finally did arrive in late March - it was the WRONG shirt. Wrong color, wrong style, wrong brand. After taking down the description of the shirt I originally submitted for cleaning, the person at the desk said they'd get back to me. It is now almost June, and no shirt. I miss the shirt, and I'm giving up on Desert Discount Cleaners! read more

While the staff is excellent, and the laundry and dry cleaning also outstanding, the prices have gone up significantly in the last year. In addition to higher prices, they now include a "surcharge" as well as an "Environmental & Chemical Charge". Total BS. Take the "discount" out of your company name. read more

So far the service has been very good, and the prices are fair and the ladies are nice.

I want to like them.... But they take 3 business days to do suits.. they already lost a jacket of mine.. and they don't come through on the days they say the clothes are supposed to be ready. Also clothes are never fully cleaned. Not very happy with them. read more

Very happy with service. One dress and two shirts cleaned. But the prices were very reasonable. I realized I was spending way to much at another cleaners for the same service. Glad to find This place! read more

They don't have a good customer service attitude while speaking with them. They act like they don't even need or want your business. We had one incident where we picked up our suit coat with a stain on it that wasn't there when dropped off and the second and LAST time we picked a different suit coat from them it looked like the armpits were crinkled like foil. Do you guys even know what you're doing? These are $500 suits that we pick up looking worse then when we dropped them off. We will no longer use this dry cleaners. read more

They have cleaned sport coats, suits, raincoats, shirts. They are fantastic and reasonable. They have done both dry cleaning and laundry. Excellent. Also done seamstress work excellent. read more

have been a customer 5 years. OK untiltoday. I arrived at5 pm to pick up 7 items, they were still in the store bu would not open asi was there. very poor customer service, an owner or caring person would have provided service. they just don't care. I will now find a cleaner that cares. read more

The final straw was starching a 100% Silk Tommy Bahama short sleeve shirt. Along with some other dress shirts.

Desert Discount Cleaners are great! We send all out cleaning to them including upholstery and everything comes out great. If there ever is a problem...once in 15 years,,,they immediately fix it free. No problem! Girls at the stores are so nice. They always greet you with a smile. This is the best in the desert. read more

2/18/17 Completely destroyed one of my dress shirts. No explanation other than "maybe damaged in machine", whatever that means. Ralph Lauren dress shirt had multiple shred marks approx. 4" wide by 8" to 10" long on front upper right side. No other explanation and no offer for compensation or expression of regret. I will not be using this establishment any longer and would not even give it a one star if given the choice! read more

Customers for 16 years, my wife and I quit. The charge for washing and ironing a cotton dress shirt when we began was $1.50. It was indeed a discount operation. I just picked up two cotton shirts with cowboy style snaps and one cotton pair of men's chinos and the charge was just under $22.00 for three articles that were washed and ironed. They charged sales tax, which from my understanding is not legal in California. There were two (2) added fees: one for environment and the other was something totally made up. These fees are not required under the law as I read the law, but are a flimsy excuse to add extra unwarranted charges. Sure COVID must have diminished their revenue, but no this company is trying to make it all back on the few customers who have been loyal. We are no longer customers. read more

They did a good job only had 1 item that wasn't as clean as I wanted it to be. The lady said no problem we will clean it again. I barely picked it up after a year of forgetting it there, which we laughed that its been so long. Best place ever read more

My husband and I love this dry cleaner spot. Fair prices, done in a timely manner, polite staff. They moved from their spot near Starbucks and the old Ralphs. read more

Desert Discount Cleaners is definitely the best in the desert !! I have gone to 4 of their locations over the last 15 years Palm Desert, Bermuda Dunes, La Quinta (both Hwy 111 & Old Town LQ) - Old Town La Quinta since they opened !! The staff is amazing, friendly, great prices, they have never lost a single item (I can't say that about others in the desert). They do a great job with the dry cleaning, etc read more

They on accident charged me $4 more on my order. When I brought it to their attention, they were more than accommodating and credited towards my next order. They were not hostile; they did not refuse me credit when I showed them the mistake. Excellent customer service!!! read more

I been going to DDC in La Quinta for the past 11 years on a weekly basis. They always do an excellent job of pressing, cleaning & mending or basic alterations. I never think of going anywhere else. Congratulations DDC on your 25th year! read more

I have a home in La Quinta that I have had for years. This is the BEST cleaners I have ever been to. Great service. Prices are awesome and friendly staff. I love the Palm Desert location too when I am out of the La Quinta area! read more

This a wonderful example of great workers inside the store and poor management Arturo told us I we didn't want stains on our clothes and sheets to go somewhere else. This doesn't seem like a great business model. We won't be using this cleaning service any longer. It's a shame because the women who run the front end are so sweet. read more

Excellent Cleaners. The price is great compared to where we used to go. The service is good and the clothes are done very well. I needed a coat to go to Switzerland and didn't want to pay a bunch for a new one, so I went to Angel View and picked one up. I then took it to the cleaners and they made it look like new; fresh and crisp looking. I just may keep it after my trip. read more

This cleaner has moved to Calle Tampico. I now understand why they moved and why they only accept cash. I brought in 3 suits for cleaning, and the backs of the jackets were not even pressed... They still had the wrinkles from my last wearing. I definitely will not return. read more

Excellent cleaners and very affordable pricing. One of their specialities is laundering and pressing sheets and pillowcases, they always have dozens and dozens of sheets. Such a treat to have expertly pressed sheets just like a hotel!!! Worth the small splurge. Very friendly at the Old Town La Quinta location. read more
