I absolutely love this place! Amazing 5-star service and quality! And everyone is so nice and friendly! I would highly recommend! To respond to Micheal P's review- The owner, Jonathan, believes that quality services justify a snarky, arrogant and unpleasant attitude toward customers. Observe his energy -- it will tell you everything you need to know. Game Over Well Micheal, So what's crazy is that the owner Jonathan is actually really nice with his customers and employees. Especially with unhappy people who have nothing better to do then pick a bone with people. And for someone who is "arrogant" and "snarky", did you know that he donates and cleans FREE coats to homeless shelters during Christmas time. Yeah, how's that for an "unpleasant" owner? Also, I've seen in person how rude many customers have been to this SMALL BUSINESS owner, and I would never have the patience this guy has. read more

The Laquinta location I usually go to and the lady there is very very nice but the owner Jonat is not very nice and he choose the people he is nice too I don't think that is right and if you own a business like that you should make an effort to do better than that read more

Great service and friendly customer service. We have enjoyed using Jonathan's for the last couple years.

The service was genuinely friendly and helpful. The quality of the work was excellent. I had two shirts laundered, three new dresses and one new shirt pressed. I thought the price tag was a little high, but I can't really complain. The finished product was top notch. Convenient location for me. Will definitely do business here again. read more

We have been customers of Jonathan's Cleaners in La Quinta since we moved to the Coachella Valley 6 years ago. They do excellent work in a timely manner. Their prices are reasonable and they offer Express for a small additional charge which we've taken advantage of. We highly recommend them read more

Be careful! They will scam you! I went to Jonathon's Cleaners back in April to get the hem let out on a pair of pants, in the leg. I paid $24 for that. I wore them twice and the hem came out on one of the legs. I brought them back in the beginning of June to get them fixed. When I went to pick them up, they wanted to charge $6 for them to fix a mistake they made. She said if I came back within a month there would've been no charge. It's not like I was coming back a year later, it was less than 2 months! They lost a regular customer over only $6. read more

Always friendly staff, and great service. My garments and quilts are ready on time. I really like this cleaning business!! read more

Prices are ridiculous high. Prices are not posted should have been a sign, I had them give me a total cost of dry cleaning. Crazy high. I wanted next day or 2 day dry cleaning on 3 items. (Slacks, dress shirt, and long dress). $49. We down the street and got job done for $27. read more

I'm headed in to pick up my alterations, and I'm so excited to be able to finally wear my dresses I bought a couple of months ago. The reviews here are actually what brought me here, they were glowing reviews! Even if there was a bad review, the management responded with courtesy, and accounting of how the issue was handled, and invited the customer to check back in. I'm currently on a walker, and was concerned about being able to try each dress on so they could see first hand what needed to be altered. While kind of cramped, it all worked out very well! I don't remember the name of the lady that fitted me, but she was pleasant, kind, and very helpful with suggestions. Well, here we go! I'll check back in after I try on the dresses, but I feel very confident that everything is going to be perfect! read more

I really love them for dry cleaning and also for alterations, and my praise really does say something because anyone will tell you, one thing about me, I am picky. Things that are important that Jonathan's surpasses in performance: 1) Scent of the clothes--none which is how it should be. 2) Quality--no broken buttons, no wrinkles, whites are not yellowed, stains almost always removed, no double-bagging, clothes seem to come out looking newer than when I brought them in. So I had a situation. I felt I was over-charged for one designer dress. I spoke to a good friend of mine and she reminded me that it is worth more money to know that the special item, expensive to replace, is going to be given extra care. Well, she is right about that because I love the dress and it does look perfect after dry cleaning. Jonathan's Cleaners is worthy of 5 Stars. read more

Friendly, courteous and convenient service and they do a great job with our dry cleaning!

I dropped off a brand new dress that I had never worn before to get cleaned because it had cat pee on it. I remember specifically asking them if they could get it out. They said yes. When I picked it up, it's still smelled like cat pee. They also removed the tag off of it, that I told them not to remove, it was a $400 dress from house of cb. the boss came over and told me that, I would have to wash it to get out the smell, Even though the dress is dry clean only. They lost a lot of business from me.-edit:THEY DID NOT SAY THEY COULDNT GET THE SMELL OUT, OUT OR I WOULDNT HAVE DROPPED IT OFF. There was also NO stain. read more

Jonathan's Cleaners - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - La Quinta, California

I had discussed with Jonathan regarding a large runner rug. He was very expedient responding to my questions. I got a very good vibe with him and the cleaning of the carpet is a reasonable amount for cleaning. I'm looking forward to doing business with him. read more

Solid and reliable. Have tried many in the area and they do it right. Always friendly and prompt.

Huge thanks to the two ladies at Jonathan's who went out of there way to help me on Friday 11/1. I was very stressed and short on time as I was heading to my brother's wedding. The talented woman doing the steaming/pressing saved me from a dress disaster. And... she was speedy! My dresses looked perfect thanks to her. Great service goes a long way and makes a big difference. Thanks so much for helping in a moment when you could have easily said no. read more

Jonathan's saved the day for me! I called Monday late afternoon in hopes they could steam a dress for the following afternoon after my hotel didn't offer the service. They had it ready first thing the next day at a reasonable price too. Thank you so much! read more

1/3 higher for laundering shirts than other local cleaners that does a good job; however, if you are very particular and want pretreat it for stains & free button replacement it may be worth it, especially for professional work wardrobe. read more

I cannot say enough great things about Jonathan's. We have been using their services every week since we moved here almost 2 years ago, and have been consistently impressed with their workmanship, customer service, pricing and attention to detail. Maria always greets us with a smile, and always knew who we were, even when everyone was masked up. They turn the cleaning around quickly but without cutting corners on quality. Even when it is stiflingly hot out, Maria and the rest of the staff have the best attitudes. In a time where good labor is hard to come by, this is especially impressive. read more

Finally time to start going back to the cleaners now that our office is opening up. Found this establishment and am impressed by the price and quality of work. They are detailed and easy to work with. Definitely will be returning! read more

I took a new light colored cashmere sweater to Jonathan's because I wanted it to be cleaned with care. When I dropped it off I asked if they measured garments because I didn't want it to be stretched. The attendant said that they had never had a problem. When I picked it up, it was covered in pills, my light lavender sweater was a muddy grayish purple, and the chest that had measured 24 was now 28 inches stretched out. This was a $300.00 sweater. I told the attendant right away. There was no owner or manager available. For 2 months I have repeatedly left phone messages or stopped by both the store in La Quinta and Palm Desert. I have never received a call back, or been able to speak to a manager about the damage done to my sweater. I would be happy to speak with them if they are available. In response to "Jonathan's response". He never called me. I took my sweater to another cleaner in AZ, and they removed the dingy color and restored the shape. As you can see he did not offer to see me, talk to me, or even look at the sweater. I do not recommend this cleaner. read more

They do a great with cleaning.but prices are a bit high. I will use them when I'm in a pinch and need a quick cleaning

I've used them to get the waist taken in on two pairs of pants / shorts and they came out perfect both times. Incredibly friendly service and clean place. The only thing I'd change (though it was no big deal) was letting me know initially how much the job for the pants (waist in and hem) was going to cost but you guys told me the next time around for my other item I was bringing in. Thank you guys! read more

Kicking myself for returning to this shyster after having problems in the past with being gouged for items that weren't even cleaned properly. This time, I was charged three times the price to dry clean the cost of what the scarves cost new! And of course, the woman at the desk never disclosed the prices when I dropped them off as I never would have agreed to that. Then, when my husband went to pick everything up, the woman at the desk ripped the credit card from his hands and ran it without his approval. When my husband nicely asked to adjust the price, the prick of an owner refused. I guess this self-impressed jerk is really hard up for money as he treats customers like crap and apparently, gouges everyone from all the bad reviews. Just read the way he responds to people. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. read more

QUESTION: Do you like replacing a zipper with a used one in the wrong color? Love rude service and being charged $17.50 to dry clean a blouse? If so, you'll love Jonathan's Cleaners! I brought a beautiful pair of pants in for a new zipper. Got back black pants with a blue zipper that had been ripped from something else (little holes in it). Plus, the zipper stuck. Brought it back thinking they'd just fix it (being charitable?), and I (mistakenly) also gave them a nice silk blouse to clean. Whoops! Got back the pants, zipper was fine (even opened!), but there's a pucker in the pocket next to the zipper. After taking it back to steam out the pucker (didn't work), Jonathan (owner) says, "I don't see the pucker" (methinks he did since he went back to fix it). Choice: I could leave it again (3rd time) and see if they could fix it (obviously can't trust them). Then they want $17.50 for cleaning my blouse (I don't know about you, but that seems excessive). No thank you, no "I'm sorry that happened," no "let us do something nice for you." Instead, when I suggested that they might want to do something on the blouse, Jonathan treats me like I'm a grifter (obviously a rich one if I can afford $17.50 for a blouse). Just snaps, "take it all and get it fixed someplace else and take the blouse and we'll call it even." It's not even. It's not nice. It's not good business. It's not trustworthy. It's not what we need in our community. The search for good dry cleaning continues... read more
