I wish I would've read these reviews throughly. I was very disappointed about Joseph's cleaners. I left an Uggs comforter to be cleaned, first of all, it wasn't ready the date they told me. Second, when I picked it up I was told to pay an excessive amount, I was on a very important call and running late to work so I just left. I called today to speak with a manager and the lady was very rude, said manager is not here and hung up. I called 4 more times until she answered again. She yelled over the phone "already told you manage is not here." I asked when the manager will be there and said "this afternoon" once again very rudely. My comforter's stitches were damaged and they lost the original bag in which I took it in. They even refused to ask how can they help after I wasn't satisfied. I highly recommend Joseph's Cleaners. My past Dry Cleaners in RM reduced their operating hours so I could not drop off or pick up an order after work. Joseph's cleaners is open to 6 pm rather than most others that close at 5 pm and they are also open on Saturdays. In addition, they had positive reviews so I gave them a try. I am so happy I did! The service is fantastic! They are personable, friendly and very customer service oriented. I've returned many times now and have consistently experienced great service. I have had clothes dry cleaned and tailored. The quality is excellent. They offer a fast turnaround for both and also extremely fair rates. I highly recommend this business! read more

I went to Joseph's cleaners because they do the cleaning on site. Nothing is sent out. But unfortunately a tie was lost. So I had to go elsewhere. But I am recommending this business because of the honesty of the woman behind the counter. She did find my tie and called me to let me know she had it. Honesty has to be rewarded and acknowledged. Female Owner was very rude to my 90 year old mother who merely requested extra care in pressing the cuffs on a button-down shirt. Owner told my mother not to tell her how to do her job. And, she mentioned that my mother hadn't been in for several months so she didn't have the right to be so picky about service. My poor mom was humiliated. My husband brought his clean dress shirts in here to get them pressed to give me a break. He asked for press only and left them. He came back to pick them up and they had been dry cleaned and "hand pressed" which is a cop-out. My father in law has owned dry cleaners for 50 years. Jospeh's Cleaners refused to honor what my husband had requested and charged him double the price (the dry cleaning and pressing price) or threatened to keep his clothes. Joseph's Cleaners was recommended to me by a local Tailor, Angela. I originally brought my grandmother's 71 year old wedding dress in to be cleaned and pressed after Angela made some alterations to it. They took wonderful care of the dress and made it look so beautiful. When my actual wedding dress needed serious cleaning after an over excited wedding guest spilled red wine all down the front, and I mean all over the front of the dress, I felt confident I knew just the place to take it to try and restore it. I had no idea if they could get the stain out bc it had definitely set into the material due to the fact that we had to fly back from the east coast!! On Monday, I took 6 cotton short sleaved sports shirts in to be washed, light starch, I was quoted $10.00 by the lady at the register. I said ok she gave me a pick-up slip and said they will be ready on Friday. When I went to pick up on Friday the man at the register said that will be $24.00. I reminded him that I was told $10.00; he said NO, $24.00. That's $4.00/shirt - outrageous, and dishonest. Never trust them again. I took all my work clothes there and everything always looked pristine, great pleats, clean presses, stains gone, loose hems fixed. They took great care of my clothes...and they always remembered me. They weren't the cheapest dry cleaners around...but they weren't crazy expensive and they are the best. Side Note: I recently moved to Nor Cal...it wasn't until I moved and went the "best" dry cleaners up here that I realized how awesome Joseph's was. Today, I was so flabbergasted by the way I was treated so negatively and so rudely by the owner (female) of Joseph's Cleaners, 44421 Town Center Way, Suite A, Palm Desert. First of all, I had been a kind and loyal customer to this dry cleaning business for almost 20 years. For instance, I've taken a lot of clothes in to be dry-cleaned, altered, or mended. Equally important, I had always been very generous and flexible in my capacity as a customer. Today, however, I had received a rather (surprisingly) negative experience. After I had pointed out a need I had concerning a loose button on a skort, the female owner told me in a "negative" tone that there was nothing she could do to fix the button. Very nicely, I had made a few suggestions. I had also politely mentioned that I had been a very loyal customer for so many years, thus having had entrusted a lot of clothes in their care. I was in shock and disbelief that instead of her apologizing, she out-rightly said "THEN YOU CAN GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!" Because I had recently been poorly and rudely treated by a proprietor of a business, I feel that it is my duty and obligation to warn current and potential customers that JOSEPH'S CLEANERS in Palm Desert, Ca has my VERY lowest recommendation in the capacity of positive and quality customer service. :( read more

I DIDN'T EVEN WANT TO GIVE ONE STAR HERE!!! Years ago I had a negative experience with this cleaners. I thought by now (January 2019) they had possibly been under new management or at least had corrected their poor customer service. I was wrong! I dropped off a black throw that was brand new, but came with a warning that the black dye may come off on a lighter fabric. I asked the woman at this cleaners if something could be done to ensure the black dye would not come off. The throw had a DO NOT DRY CLEAN tag and the woman stated she would see what could be done and come back in a week. When I went to pick it up, I was told the throw had been dry cleaned and different woman told me she had no idea if the dye would come off. I told her that was the sole reason I had brought the throw to them. I added that it was brand new and obviously didn't need to be dry cleaned. She told me to TEST the throw by putting the throw on my brand new lighter shade couch and see if the dye came off! I was disgusted with this and asked how much the dry cleaning cost. I was told $35!!! For a throw?! Since I paid less than that for the throw in the first place, I told her to keep it. When I later was complaining about Josephs Cleaners to my neighbor, she told me this cleaners had shrunk 2 sweaters she had brought them and she too told them to keep the sweaters rather than pay for them shrinking her sweaters. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLEANERS!!! read more

I even saw her get verbally abusive and downright degrading towards a very old and fragile elderly woman for literally no reason. It was disgusting to watch and when I defended the woman the store owner only became worse. On top of this disgusting behavior their prices are obscene! They also didn't clean 4 of my items and pretended they did. It's almost laughable. One set of Queen sheets that were pristine without stains cost me $150. Dropped off a shirt to have sleeves shortened, $28! There was nothing fancy, it was tee shirt material. When I asked if they really charged that for a simple alteration she said they had hemmed it too. I asked why since I didn't request it be hemmed. It was a brand new shirt with the tag still on it. It was one thing that this drycleaners lost one of the six shirts we brought in, it was quite another that the female owner was so rude, unhelpful and disrespectful when we came back in to find it. She simply refused to believe we didn't get the shirt back, essentially saying we were lying, all the while smirking at the situation. It took several minutes of prodding for her to even deign to look for the shirt on the racks. When I asked for restitution on the lost shirt she simply didn't respond and just kept insisting we had the shirt, she didn't. We had only used Joseph a few times before this, so it didn't take long to have them both lose an item and not take ANY responsibility for it. This is the most expensive dry cleaner I have ever been to. They charged me $18.50 to clean a simple cotton beach cover up and $12.50 to clean a casual tracksuit jacket (only the jacket - pants were an additional $7.50!) This store owner is incredibly rude, obstinate and nasty. She does not understand the concept of customer service, and it's not possible to be any more rude than she was. I'm sensitive to the language barrier, but this woman should not own or run a business. I knew that I had dropped off a mix of shirts and pants and I identified the day that I dropped them off. She told me that I was confused and wrong. I drove back home (15 minutes) and back and provided the ticket invoice. She claimed that her computer had no record of my cleaning. I walked over to the rack and pointed out my clothing. Only then did she apologize. I dropped off one pair of pants and said given my treatment and back and forth unnecessary drive, I expected the pants to be cleaned at 'no charge'. When I returned to pick up the pants, I asked if she remembered me, and all she said was $7.00 for cleaning the pants. I pulled out the $7.00, and said that if she was a smart business owner, she would not have charged me for the pants. She yells out 'don't wanna pay, don't pay". I left the $7.00, and told her that she lost my business and I would never return. After spending over $500.00 at Joseph's in the last year, they will not see another $ of business from me. read more

The blouse was not ready on the day it was promised and the manager/owner was very rude and disrepectful . The stain on the blouse was not removed properly.
