If I could give this business zero stars, I would. I'm appalled at the way I've been treated as a paying customer for more than a year. I brought 2 dresses in recently to have the elastic replaced in the sleeves. When I picked the items up, and after paying more than $100 (certainly not true to their "value" name) for 2 simple alterations and a blouse, I realized one of the dresses hadn't been fixed at all. The sleeves were left exactly as I brought them in. The other dress looked like a child had sewn the elastic and basically ruined the dress. And still I paid $107. What's worse is that when I first brought the items back to show them the problem, the owner John wasn't there. So I was instructed to call back in the morning. When I did, rather than apologizing for the confusion--especially since they couldn't even find record of my alteration at all--John proceeded to tell me there is nothing they can do and argue whether there was any issue at all. The whole situation is unacceptable. I will absolutely not be going back here and warn anyone from going here. Your clothes will be ruined and you'll be treated like garbage. Buyer beware! read more

Life savers!! I took my wedding dress here to get cleaned two days before my wedding. I was desperate from a nearby cleaners that got my dress dirty during a routine "steam". I dropped it off at Value Cleaners where I was then called directly by the owner who assured me that they would take the best care of it. AND THEY DID! In town from the Bay Area for a wedding and brought my shirt in on Thursday for dry cleaning. I asked if they could have it ready next day, they said 100% no problem. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to pick it up on Friday and came Saturday after they were closed . I banged on the window in the front, and was finally able to catch somebody's attention. Brought in a pair of u uniform pants that needed to be taken in and have the button fixed. The person at counter marked how much the pants needed to be taken in and told me to come back on Monday. I came in picked them up, got to work only to see that they had not be taken in. Of course, i had paid for them to be taken it. When I called the moron owner had an attitude instead apologizing for doing half the work. I paid for a service that wasn't even done. This place is clearly a shit show. The WORST dry cleaner I have ever been to. Aside from being ridiculously expensive, they completely destroyed a cashmere sweater I brought in to them. When I picked it up, they told me it came in with holes all over it. It absolutely did not and, if that was the case, why would they not call to tell me that before cleaning it, to cover their own ass? When I asked for the manager to look into it, they came back and told me that moths had done it but they couldn't see the holes when it came in and the material must have just come apart during the cleaning. I didn't realize picking a place to alter my jeans would be such a chore. After reading reviews and making phone calls. It finally boiled downed to two places. Value Cleaners and Pepe's. I ended up at Value Cleaners. Because John answered my questions over the phone and the cleaners was closer at the time. Plus, most places would not touch my raw 17oz pair of jeans. I'm glad I went there. As soon as I entered the establishment, I was greeted with a smile and a sincere "Good Morning." from John. John answered all of my questions and over came any objections I've had. Explained to me how my jeans would be altered and made sure I understood that. So, I went ahead and got my jeans altered. I felt at ease and comfortable. I decided to bring in 2 jackets and a peacoat to be dry cleaned the same day. Today I got my jeans' and outerwears back a day early. The jeans were done perfectly and my dry cleaning looked fresh and new. The prices were good. Others cleaners quoted me at least 15% higher than what I was charged at Value Cleaners. Excellent service and great results! I recently acquired a number of sentimental garments that belonged to my great grandmother (who is deceased) and was very nervous about turning it over to just anyone! Not only did they clean these delicate garments professionally, but they did it in a timely manner! I highly recommend this business for any dry cleaning needs... and frankly, I was shocked to read the ridiculous posting by Sopla... umm... yeah.... After many many years of using them at times they did great work for us at times mediocre, I will no longer bring my dry cleaning here. Took a Joie expensive top with a small stain to them and was handed back a ruined top with a huge white stain on it. Owner was non apologetic and not willing to take any responsibility. We met over the phone and after my mom and bridesmaids tried two different steamers sent to our room, we decided to reach out and send my dress off property. Jonathan, I could tell by your voice we were cutting it close with basically slightly over an hour to get it steamed so I could be ready for pictures at 3, but thankfully, you caused no more stress on my end and said yes! My parents live in Indian Wells and have been using Value Cleaners for over a decade now, so even though I live in San Francisco and got married in Maui, my mom insisted that I have my wedding dress cleaned here. I was super nervous because not only did my train have grass and dirt stains on it (and had been in sea water, too!), the dress itself has delicate beadwork all over. I really couldn't have been happier with the results. We were warned that they would do their best but everything may not come out to the extent we were hoping, but when I received my dress back, it was in perfect condition. Did an amazing job at altering my dress. Very friendly customer service. I was in a rush and need last minute alterations on a dress I bought for a friend's wedding. I wasn't expecting much because it was a 24 hour turn around time and I just needed it shortened. The gentleman was super friendly that pinned my dress and understanding about my situation and when I got the dress back I was very pleased with the workmanship. The dress was sown very well and dry cleaned and with a 24 hour turn around was surprisingly very affordable. I will be back to this place for more simple alterations. He did inform me that the more complex alterations they send out which I was thankful for his honesty. I don't like people that try and take on jobs that they cannot complete to satisfaction. Overall very pleased with everything. I think great customer service goes a long way for me and to have great workmanship too goes above and beyond. What more could a customer ask for. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR WEDDING DRESSES OR ANYTHING SILK HERE!!! I was assured that they could take the minimal grass stains etc when I dropped it off. I spoke extensively with the customer service lady and we went over every inch of the dress to mark the stains...when I got it back.. yes, they had taken the grass stains out.. but they had also left? 2 pin sized dots stains on a previously unaffected area..mid drif..area.. along w those stains.. they had been so harsh to the fabric in those areas that if you hold up the dress to any decent light you could see a patch left due to the texture change.. OK.. I've treated silk at home on my own.. YOU are supposed to test the the seams INSIDE to see how the fabric will react FIRST!! when I brought this to their attention.. they seemed "perplexed" by that notion.. and acted as if these 2 new spots were acceptable.. DO NOT say you are capable of treating SILK if you are not.. I would have rather had the minute grass stains left than to have my dress ruined like this!!!! And THEN of course.. the manager was not there.. but would be there the next day.. so manager "J xxn" "S"...(you can't use real names here on Yelp) was not there the next day either..what a shock.. ..when I asked "what did he say about it?" she said "he said there was NOTHING to be done to fix this" ..then I said.."I'm not going to pay for this!" and she said, I'll call him..she did and then he said "I could not take the dress without payment".. Nice.. really?? really? that's it..?? you ruin my dress and do NOTHING?? no apology? you don't even TRY to fix it????????. UPDATE::In response to the comment left by the owner... simply stating that you do things, clearly does not mean that you actually "practice what you preach". My experience clearly proves this. So maybe not being in denial about your "capabilities" and look into all the things you clearly did wrong and try to fix them! If you can't do something without ruining a very valuable dress, then don't tell your employees to say "yes" when asked. When you have a customer who is not happy, OFFER to make it right, or OFFER some kind of resolution.. Don't just tell people, "nothing we can do"... after you've ruined their dress! read more

My girlfriend, who lives in the area, recommended their services to me. Not only was the price reasonable, but the service was spot on, fast, and friendly. I was worried that I wouldn't get my uniform back in time for the function, but they assured me that everything would be done as asked.
