MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! The male owner lied about altering my Mother of the Bride dresses and physically ASSAULTED ME IN THE PARKING LOT WHEN I TRIED TO LEAVE WITH MY OWN GOWNS. I have been going to Washington Cleaners for 2 years now since I moved to the desert. They clean my clothes to perfection, are always on time, and have a tailor that has replaced zippers or made adjustments that are always exactly how I wanted them. Have been a patron of Washington Cleaners for almost five years. Their attention to detail and perfect press on my French Cuff shirts has kept me coming back, but their customer service yesterday blew me away. My AHL off-ice official work shirts, pants, and blazer were dropped off a week prior and were ready for pickup, but work commitments had me on the road. On Saturday, traffic made it impossible to get there before their 4pm closing time. With games scheduled at Acrisure on Sat & Sun, I was in a bad position. I called them at 3:30 with the news that I was on the road, but couldn't get there until 4:20. They actually stayed until I could arrive at 4:17 and saved the day. This cleaners use to be really good. The lady who is the owner is not the best experience. There is a little bit of a language barrier. She can be rude at times. The pricing has gone up a lot. There has been issues with the quality of the service. Wrong press on pants, Dble creases etc. Just fyi..... cleaners are like nail salons. There's 2 on every corner. read more

10 stars my mom and dad started going here about 26 or so years ago I remember coming here in my pageant years to get my gowns fitted , and to have buttons sewn back on my cute little Nordstrom's outfits my mama used to get me. It's family owned and ran , and they are always so sweet!!! till this day my parents still drop off their clothes bi weekly and now I have my own family and send in my husbands shirts !! BEWARE!!!!! YIKES! The male owner tried to scam me and was physically aggressive with me!!!!!!!!! He lied saying he was the tailor. I left my beautiful Mother of the Bride wedding dresses there for alterations. When I came back to pick them up, the majority of the alterations had not been done. He confessed that he had, "Forgotten" to tell the real tailor (Who is off-site) about them. The one hem that was done turned out crooked and awful looking- ruining my dress. The owner still wanted to charge me full price for alterations. I refused and tried to leave with my dresses. I had offered to pay him half price just to keep the peace, but he refused. HE THEN ATTACKED ME IN THE PARKING LOT ON THE WAY TO MY CAR!!!! I HAD TO CALL THE POLICE ON HIM! THE OWNER STOLE MY DRESSES COMPLETELY OUT OF MY ARMS AFTER WRESTLING THEM AWAY FROM ME in the shopping center parking lot. I was shaking from the trauma. He found it funny and was laughing. When the policeman arrived, the owner suddenly knew how to speak English when conversing with him. But, until then, had pretended he never understood much of anything I was saying. The owner tried to convince the policeman that he had altered and pressed my dresses. The whole ordeal was an absolute nightmare. The policeman told me to wait out front while he talked to the owner inside. I stood right where the policeman told me to wait. A couple of people walked past me and asked why I was trembling and why the police were there. I told them the truth. Dropped off my white Ralph Lauren polo for dry cleaning and got it back on time, which I appreciated. But after wearing it for just an hour (mainly sitting in my car), I noticed yellow spots on the back of the shirt--definitely not there before, and pretty sure it was from the detergent or cleaning process. When I took it back, the young man at the counter (I think he's the son) was really understanding, apologized, and offered to have it re-cleaned, which was nice. But the owner (his dad) insisted it was my fault and told me to wash it at home myself, then bring it back if the stains didn't come out. That didn't sit right with me--I'm not paying for dry cleaning just to end up doing laundry myself! Honestly, the son knows how to treat customers, but the dad took it way too personally and didn't seem interested in keeping me as a regular. I'm not trying to discourage anyone, just sharing my experience. I won't be coming back, but hopefully, they can work on their customer service. read more

I. After several years of Good Alterations here , on 1/10/22 I picked up a Two nice coats for aIterations & was Shocked to discover: 1. Tan "Kiton" Italy , 100% Silk Tan never worn Raincoat:The 4"x2" Name label I paid $25 to sew i/s the coat lining was sewn on very childish looking & is in sharp contrast to the v nice/polished Coat & lining... The entire "label" has jagged/wavy edges & not 1 line is straight ,nor is 1 corner at 90 degree (sb a rectangle) . I checked this job job when I picked up on premises because I knew it was a unique job, the label I painstakingly folded & discussed with David for ~15 minutes @ drop off {he's very detailed , more than I am(!) } which I appreciated at my drop off ; with examples of other finished labels I had /but none with my English & Chinese name (Yes I have all photos) my Name label & canvas suit lining backing mtl. Nonetheless, David accepted the job & set a $25 price; I supplied a small label sized piece of material w/ my name in English & Chinese from an old bespoke suit lining to sew into the Kiton R/coat because I live on Palm Desert , v little rain & i'm frequently forgetting my raincoat after lunch, shopping etc...I left another raincoat Twice today-at RUBIOs & COSTCO. I have photos of the childish sewing job : Not 1 single line or 90 degree angle on the Name "Label ". When I pointed out this v obvious bad "sewing", The owner, David got upset saying per his son Roy!Rob(?) "I'm a pain in the ass, my tailoring jobs are too difficult, etc.." I said: YOU accepted all the jobs, YOU set the price & I paid you in full every time, including this time. AND YOU never said anything before NOW, after you botched the job . T . Son interceded after I paid $60 in FULL & David Cont ranting in ~Korean (?) stating "you get out of my shop". So I did. II. I also paid $35 to shorten the sleeves & move the 4 buttons on a new Zegna Sport Coat -v easy job because there are No Button holes on this Coat. I was shocked when I got home & unwrapped the usual Dry Cleaners plastic bag @ home: 1.) Right away I saw where The "tailor" inexplicably hard/deep lines ironed a triangle with peak 0.5"@top w/ two 6" TLT. Lines angled at the R sleeve hem ; not good for lightweight silk/cashmere Zegna fabric... 2) & sewed one of the buttons in a zig zag pattern & left a gap between buttons on Right sleeve 3) Causing me to look closely at the Left hand sleeve:There is a small hole Apx size of a Std. Pin Head not point near the hem where "tailor" removed a button & CUT the fabric(!) BUNK! 4) Then ironed a smaller triangle shape vs straight line Apx. 1/2" from sleeve end/hem. So I drove back to Washington Cleaners with my camera in hand expecting considering David told me not to come back after his 1st of 2 & the lesser of 2 botched alteration jobs, & I asked for a full $60 refund Previously Readonable son Roy:Rob Park said "You're a Fxxking Asxhole (I said I was videoing due to David's 1st not so great c/s ) I showed them the Zegna Damages & altho David disagreed, the son & mother said they would credit me $35 only for the v bad Zegna alteration (I didn't see the cut in the fabric until later). After waiting 6 days & still not seeing ANY CREDIT whatsoever after the $60 Debit which Bank paid 1/13, I filed a Dispute for the $60 paid with my Bank. Please note: Now that I have seen David & (Son?) Roy/Rob's other side, I fully expect they will try to disparage me & throw FUD my way (Fear , Uncertainty, Doubt) ; I HAVE PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE & I will have photos of Bill & Completed RE alteration job w/in ~1 week or so. I would normally let this slide, (I have bigger problems than this) ; however when a Representative of a Business swears at me for pointing out their clear & obvious botched job, I'm compelled to Call them on it... read more

We dropped off our bedspread on Thursday to have wrinkles steamed. It was not ready on Monday as promised. They proceeded to start working on it and handed it to us 5 minutes later after charging us $30.00. We brought it home and it looked worse than when we brought it in. We called and the Owner and his son were rude and unapologetic. We will NEVER use WASHINGTON CLEANERS again. Horrible customer service and shoddy work. read more

I had asked if they still had the extra fabric and they called to tell me today that their tailor had thrown it out. He gave me a weak apology (which is better than I got the first day), but didn't care that we had to go buy a new prom dress that day (which was an hour and a half away and a lot more money spent). They didn't refund us for the tailoring. Their dry cleaning service was fine, but I won't ever spend another cent there due to their poor service. read more

I wish it was possible to give no stars. They have bad service, they have an attitude they act like you owe them the service and they basically called me fat when I ask them to tighten some button holes for me. It was a very nice Ralph Lauren button up shirt and I was basically told it wasn't worth it for that shirt. I said it's a very expensive shirt. I will never go back there again, and I walk pass it almost every day. And they're overpriced. I only went there because they are convenient when I was shopping at CVS in Albertson's.
