They were responsive, friendly, knowledgeable, cost effective, and provided great service. I would highly recommend them to all BMW owners. Read below for full review I had 2014 X5 serviced with a north Phoenix mechanic until it was deemed a total loss from a rear end accident in May. After replacing it with a 2020 X5, I decided it was time to find a mechanic closer to home. I sent an email requesting an appointment for an oil change and received an email back with their availability and out the door cost. With high inflation, I was hoping it wouldn't be more than what I was use to spending and it was about the same as what I was spending with my previous mechanic. I called to schedule the appointment and luckily they had an appointment within the same week. Since it was only going to be 30-40 minutes to complete the service, I decided to hangout in their lobby. They did an inspection and checked my breaks as well since I inquired about squeaky brakes, good news everything was fine, but unfortunately they're sport brakes and the noise is common. When the service was complete, I was anxious I was going to be given a laundry list of items that "need' to be repaired and was relieved when they said everything was in good shape and there were no miscellaneous fees added to the invoice when checking out. This was super important as women can be taken advantage of when taking their car in for service. The lobby was clean and they have drinks and coffee while you wait. They're also a short walk from downtown Chandler so you can grab coffee from Black Rock or Peixoto or grab a bite to eat while you wait. Since they weren't terribly busy when I was there, I was able to talk to DJ and get to know him and more about the business. I'm so happy I found them and will be long time customer.

As one of those people who loves their car, I was really apprehensive about taking it to a different mechanic. I am in the SE Valley so having someone on this side is an advantage. I am happy to say that I went ahead and took my 335I to DJ And Trevor. I couldn't be happier with the level of service they provided. They were honest and fair with their pricing and I needed a new cooling system so it was a big job. They nailed it! If you are like me and apprehensive of a new shop... take the step. It led me to finding a BMW certified mechanic that I trust. That's HUGE for this bimmer girl!!

I am aware that a mechanic can't diagnose over the phone but DJ was able to give me a worst case scenario $$.

I cannot say enough great things about Crawford's Auto Repair!…read moreI brought my truck in thinking I had a suspension issue because of a squeaky noise that had been getting worse. They got me in quickly, were incredibly friendly from the moment I walked in, and took the time to thoroughly check everything out. It turned out to be something as simple as a loose spare tire, something that could have easily been misdiagnosed elsewhere. What really stood out to me is that they fixed the issue right then and there and didn't charge me anything. That level of honesty and integrity is rare these days. As a woman, it can sometimes feel intimidating trying to find an auto shop you can truly trust. At Crawford's, I felt completely comfortable, respected, and confident that I was being treated fairly, no upselling, no pressure, just genuine help. They've absolutely earned my trust, and I will be coming back for any future car needs. If you're looking for a shop that is honest, knowledgeable, and truly cares about their customers, this is the place to go. Highly, highly recommend!

He said I was the first person in 5 years that had asked for prices to be matched from another nearby mechanic shop. He even said that the prices that they quoted me, that I should go to the other shop instead, was a $60 difference by the way. Was also told by Ken that I wasn't a good customer because I had only done one oil service with them in a year and a half. Will never give Crawford's my business and they're just another auto shop that's dishonest and takes advantage of their customers. Hard to find integrity these days!!

When Greg retired and sold ADS to TGK, the changes were subtle but not necessarily for the better. Personnel changes, operational changes etc. made me somewhat suspicious. I used to know who was the manager shop, who the service writers were, even the names of the certified techs who did the work. Then TGK, through a series of ownership changes became part of Sun Auto, a huge faceless corporation that emphasizes tire sales as opposed to automotive diagnostics. You can't go online anymore and directly communicate with anyone. All you can do is go through a chatbot, and the website no longer features bios of people that might be involved in maintaining your automobile. On my last visit in September 2025, it was recommended that the engine air filter be changed. I declined this and other recommended services. Recently I encountered a P0101 code indicating that either the MAF sensor needed maintenance or the air filter was dirty. In examining these components, I discovered that the last time the car was serviced, the air filter box was damaged and reinstalled carelessly without any mention of damage on the invoice. Missing screw, parts of air filter housing damaged, loose connections were discovered. I keep meticulous maintenance records, and no one other than TGK has ever done any work related to the air filter since 2016. I think the transformation from a small, performance-centric shop (ADS) to a large corporate tire seller (Sun Auto TGK) that does auto repair on the side is enough to make me start looking elsewhere for a reliable shop to perform diagnostics without harming my vehicles.

Our car was in show like condition when it entered their facility. When we picked up it it was filthy with chipped paint on 2 panels. The white interior on driver and pax side was grey and carpets discolored. Wilhelm's auto wiped out inside for us. We contacted corporate to get our car fixed as neither Wilhelms nor TGK seemed concerned. The car was towed back to TGK in Chandler. Ryan is passing the blame on the person who originally painted the car in Oct '23. He's also saying a rock chipped the paint to metal on hood. That isn't true. We have before and after shots to prove the condition of the car. It's unacceptable that Ryan at TGK will not take responsibility or get the car back to the way it was when received. We're not asking for anything for free. Ryan lacks character to take responsibility for his actions or his workers. The radiator and radio work fantastically. For that we are pleased but the condition of the vehicle after the work is very disappointing. I would never recommend TGK or Wilhelms in Carefree. Corporate does seem to care but we have come to an impasse with this shop.

However, I am very disappointed with the level of expertise and outcome of the visit. My 2014 Jeep compass has had the check engine light on for a week, steering locked up last week, and has had delayed clicking start. Justin arrived, I gave him the full history of my vehicle (no problems for 10 years) and the issues occurring the last month or so which prompted the call. He started running tests, even drove the car around to see if he could replicate what I had been experiencing. About 30 minutes into the visit he said he couldn't replicate any of the issues; that's okay, as I mentioned it only happened about 50% of the time. But he sat in my car another 20-30 minutes or so, told me he had to call his boss because he was completely stumped. Not really what you want to hear, but even I started making suggestions of what it could be so he could at least do something for me. At the end of the visit he basically just said "sorry I have no idea what's wrong, maybe replace your battery?"... the only thing he found was a sensor on my engine needed replacement, but it's totally unrelated to the other issues. I ended up having to pay $150 for literally no better idea what's wrong with my car and not feeling any safer to drive it. It was a huge waste of my time and now I'm out $150, and I still had to take it to another shop that already figured out the problem not even 24 hours later. Save yourself some money and go to a real auto shop. I understand that some technicians may be learning or lack the knowledge to dive deeper, but someone should be going with them to assist so your customers aren't left feeling robbed and confused.

Oil on the driveway. Ugh…read more Called some friends to get a recommendation for a local shop. One said that Scott from Sunland was the guy. We had the car towed over (2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid), and they diagnosed the problem and repaired the issue quickly and at a fair price. Unfortunately, the tech made a small mistake and once we got the car home, there was more oil on the driveway and a check engine light. Ugh, again. So we called back to Scott to see what he wanted us to do. We understand that sometimes mistakes are made and issues arise. How a business owner handles those issues are the difference between good businesses and great ones. This is a great one. Scott was MUCH more upset than we were! He got us back in same day and fixed the issue at no charge! (We should have paid for a necessary part, but he would not charge us.) With everything so expensive these days, and everyone trying to stretch a buck, it's hard to know if you're leaving your car with someone who cares about it as much as you do. Scott does. I cannot recommend this shop highly enough!

I am learning I can't believe artificially inflated reviews on Yelp - because of these positive…read morereviews, I've been going to Sunland for years. I realized that outside of the most basic work (like breaks, fluids or shock changes), they are not the place to go. When I have issues and take a car in, I leave with the very same issues, but I think they are taken care of. I have multiple cars now which fall into this category. The most recent is a Ford Expedition with a leak. $1500 into the work, the original problem was not solved. In fact, I now have a quote for $1900 for the remainder - when I asked why the problem wasn't solved it was 'oh we misdiagnosed it and you "Approved" the work'. They do not stand behind their misdiagnosis. I have not had this issue elsewhere- dealerships or other big-box repair shops. Another situation - I went in for a check engine light; they replaced a spark plug. The same thing is still occurring even now after my car has had all of its spark plugs changed, and I personally found a broken air hose in the engine and fixed it myself. They went with the computer code but never actually diagnosed the problem. I'm not driving rare cars. When I reflect back on previous cars I've had issues with, the same pattern occurs - I take it in, the problem is not fixed, I am quoted a large estimate, I buy another car - the savings I perceived to have were never worth it. Consider this when you go in.
