But back to 2025. Dad and I are at Glendale to see the Glitters and wanted to visit the Haus like we have in prior years with mom. We got the Jaeger Schnitzel (our all time favorite of pork with a wonderful demi mushroom sauce), and wanted to try the Schweitzer Schnitzel as well, (like a Corden Bleu but with pork). So satisfying and delicious, it was the most satisfying as well. If you're in Glendale and want to come, book a reservation or be ready to wait a bit as a walk in because it's hopping!! We also enjoyed the live accordion music that got the Christmas and joyful drinking vibes!

Came here on a Sunday and they have Sunday special all day, 25% off all appetizers. I ended up ordering a dark beer because they were out of IPA. It was good but would've liked an IPA. I ordered the big Smokey beef bratwurst, it was really good. Probably the best I've tasted. It was juicy and had a great smokey flavor and wasn't salty. It came with German potato's and sauerkraut, best sauerkraut I've tasted. My BF ordered the traditional beef roulade, it comes with a side of red cabbage and spaetzle. He said he tasted better elsewhere for what it cost.

SENTRY - WATCHING RESTAURANTS…read more Zur Kate 4815 E Main St Mesa, AZ 85205 Companion and I decided to eat German food and having eaten here before, it was time for a new review. We arrived at 4:30 and every table was full! Considering that they opened at 4, it was hard to believe it was so. We had to wait for about 15 minutes, but it was worth it. The owners are from Germany and the food is as authentic as it gets. There is live accordion music also on the premises. When we were seated we were immediately brought fresh baked rye bread and real butter. Our drink order was brought and companion had a Warsteiner beer and I had an Ayinger Dunkel which is a dark beer. Both were from the tap and were ice cold. For the main course, companion had smoked bratwurst with red cabbage and German potato salad. I had the jaeger schnitzel which has a mushroom grave, with red cabbage and spaetzle. Both of our main courses were delicious and large portions. Last was dessert. A big piece of apple strudel swimming in a vanilla sauce. To say we were full is an understatement. A motorized wheelbarrow would have been nice to get out to the car! The restaurant is rated with an A from the health department and it shows. When the bill came it was not to be believed. I've spent a lot more for a breakfast than for this dinner. Including 2 large imported beers the entire bill came to $55.00. I give them 5 stars for outstanding authentic food, good service, and cleanliness.

Schnitzels all delicious! Perfectly tender, but crisp and crunchy. Spaetzle, red cabbage, home fries, potato salad all just right. The decor definitely looks eastern European, with dolls in costume and some framed needlework. They have their Polish, Ukrainian and other foreign beers on display. There are quite a few different ones, so if you like to try new beers, this is a great place. Our server was fantastic. She was friendly and funny and helpful. Her accent told us right away that she knows this food. There's were seven of us, so we tried several different things. From the dill soup tho the potato pancakes to the cabbage rolls to the super delicious pierogi, everything was amazing. There is a store attached that sells eastern European food and drinks, including beer and vodka. You can buy frozen cabbage rolls and pierogi here.

I started out with the dill pickle soup. Fresh and filled with sausage, pickles, barley and potatoes. Excellent. I then had the pork cabbage roll with mushroom gravy. My babcia made them with a tomato base. These were better. My wife had the smoked Polish sausage sandwich on toasted bread with sauerkraut and Havarti. Just lovely. We will be back.

They also host events throughout the week like trivia, which adds to the fun atmosphere. Dogs aren't just welcome, they're encouraged. They even do dog parties for $10 a tail, which is such a fun touch. The space itself is spacious with plenty of room for kids to run around, plus games like Jenga to keep everyone entertained. They had a ton of beer options. I got a flight with four beers, and as someone who loves barrel-aged beer, I was happy to see they had a couple options. Definitely more of a German-forward beer selection. We split the cheese tots and the poblano burger, and both were great. Next time I'm definitely trying the cheese curds. Last but not least, great service from our guy Fernie, I'll be asking for him every time!

Instead of just saying sorry, he literally gave her the shirt off his back for free--which was such an unforgettable and thoughtful gesture. Beyond the amazing service, the beer garden itself is such a vibe--beautiful, fun, and the perfect spot for day drinking and grabbing a quick bite. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and it made our bach weekend even better. Highly recommend for groups.
