Our waitress was very knowledgeable and helped us decide on what to eat. I had the schweinerschnitzel wiener with spatzle and red cabbage. An excellent choice. I also ordered a hofbrau beer. For dessert we shared an apple strudel, which was yummy. Parking is easy and you should always be able to find a spot. If you have a craving for German food, try this place. What a gem! If you like German food, you must eat here! I grew up eating my grandma's German noodles and then someone designated me to be the next expert. So for years, I've been bringing the German egg noodles to family gatherings. These noodles rank up there with my German family's best. So delicious. I also love schnitzel and the Hunter style schnitzel here is excellent. It's awesome to get my choice of two sides (spatzle of course) and my other choice was the red cabbage. I love cold sauerkraut (homemade in my mom's crock), so I tend to hesitate on ordering at a restaurant but the red cabbage is my other go-to at a German meal. It was top tier delicious. I was shocked to see a German restaurant near all these businesses. Thought I'd give it a try, I got the bratwurst sandwich, with red cabbage and potato pancake. The red cabbage was pretty amazing, I'd order a whole plate if I could! I went ham on the spicy mustard, thinking it wasn't gonna be bad. It's a different kind of spicy, not the kind that you have to down a gallon of milk for, more like a hot heatwave to your face!! It was actually kind of addicting, I kept trying it for the experience haha. The brats were good and the pancake was "on point". Not like moms, but next in line. The red cabbage was better than moms! From the moment I walked in, it felt like a little slice of Germany with all the German writing, photos, fresh flower centerpieces and beautiful landscape scenes decorating the space. Even our server spoke German, which was super cool and added to the vibe. We stopped in just for drinks and a small bite to eat. As soon as we saw the XXL pretzel on the menu, we knew we had to get it! Wow... it did not disappoint! It was warm, soft, and paired perfectly with the cheese sauce. The service was great! I wanted so much to love this little German restaurant. The venue is cozy and looks and feels the part. We had reservations and were sat at a high top for two. The high top chairs were wildly uncomfortable. Our server was very attentive but did not seem to master her role. Maybe she was a bit new to the position. I tried the German Whiskey and the Cherry Brandy. The whiskey was fine but the brandy was oxidized. I do not think the spirits get ordered very often. My whiskey glass was not clean and I could see mouth marks from the last guest The food was OK. I had the pork schnitzel hunter style. It was cooked properly but the seasoning was meek. The mushroom sauce was tasty but there was very little. My wife had the meatloaf. It is very akin to fried spam or a hot dog. The best bite was the pretzel roll. It was warm, soft, and delicious. Amazing little German restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely and they treat you like family. The food is homemade right there in the restaurant and is delicious. We were greeted by Carolina who is so warm and welcoming. It's a very small restaurant so I would recommend reservations. I can't emphasize enough how delicious the homemade food is and how cozy and inviting the restaurant is. Oh and the prices are absolutely affordable and the portions are large. My husband and I were craving Bavarian pretzels after looking at all the cool Christmas lights in Scottsdale, this was the perfect spot! According to their instagram and yelp they were closed but google said open so we called to check. We ordered on DoorDash and it was ready on time for pickup. It's tucked away, was tough to find especially at night! It's a little place! Pickup was quick and easy! We got two pretzels with beer cheese and I got a cucumber salad. The salad was fresh and vinegary! The pretzels were warm and soft, super delicious. I liked the cheese but my husband wasn't a fan as he doesn't like Brie cheese. I love German food and was excited to come try Treffpunkt for Restaurant Week but ended up disappointed. We were told you could only order off the Restaurant Week menu, which has three entrees. I've never encountered that restriction in all my years here in the Valley. That's fine if that's your decision as a business but then you should note that on your website and on the AZ Restaurant Week site. (I had checked both.) I wouldn't have made the thirty minute drive up if I'd known, as my sons wanted items off the regular menu. To make matters worse, they were out of rouladen, leaving only two entrees to choose from. Though our server was nice, service was very slow and uneven. Once our food arrived it was very underwhelming. The pretzel was very dry and bland with an odd tasting cheese sauce that had a crust on it like it had been sitting around. The schnitzel and spatzle had no flavor and just weren't executed well compared to what I've had before. I will say that the apple strudel was fine. Zero stars really. Had a reservation for 6:15 Saturday evening. Walked in EXACTLY at 6:15. We state we have a reservation. She, who ever works there, says she has no tables available. Yes, we confirmed the day before online thru their message service. We volunteer to eat outside, with the caveat that she won't forget about us. She says, no problem. Fifteen minutes later, no one has even ventured outside. We left. Really, really pathetic way to run a restaurant. read more

Came here to get some lunch and we were pretty upset about the service. From the moment we walked in it wasn't very friendly and we should have left. It wasn't busy either, there was 1 customer when we went in and then throughout our experience it was three of us including my baby. The older gentleman that brought menus was pretty rude and you could tell he didn't want to help us but my mom wanted schnitzel so bad so I stayed. We ordered some goulasch which was good, the schnitzels were alright, the potato pancakes were extremely doughy and weren't cooked all the way inside so we ended up not eating them. We had the worst service, nobody checked on us, didn't bring any condiments, didn't ask if we needed anything else. Ashley the General Manager came over and introduced herself during our meal and finally brought some ketchup. The older gentleman was sitting down on his phone the entire time, walking around the dining area. It took a good 15-20 min for us to get our bill when another employee finally walked back in (they were setting up outside I'm assuming) the dining room we asked him for our check so we can leave. Again, no kind of interaction really he just handed my mom the check. It just wasn't a pleasant experience at all and we didn't enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant one bit. We won't be back. I do like that they sell lebkuchen herzen but I was so over it, I forgot to buy one. read more

I had such a lovely first visit -- what a gem of a place! I loved the spätzle -- had to go extra cheesy, of course, and it was completely worth it. Pure comfort food perfection. I wish I had caught the name of our server (I think it started with an X?), but he was incredibly kind and helpful, patiently walking me through the menu and explaining all the delicious options since it was my first time there. The food was excellent, the best sauerkraut I've had outside Germany. The Currywurst had a good kick without being overpowering. The Nürnburger wurst was excellent. Super unique spot. I was impressed by the size of the menu and what appeared to be a lot of authentic German recipes. I wish there were more German spots in the greater Phoenix area. Unfortunately, I feel like this location needs more time before it offers service. We walked and sat ourselves and it took some time before we were helped because the waitress was the only one there also taking phone orders. I understand that this could be the case in any business so we decided to stay anyway to give the food a try as this was our date night and we were craving German food. We ordered an appetizer that was supposed to be a charcuterie board, but it turned out to be the same sliced cheese and salami that you might get if you opened up a package at your local grocery store. Swiss cheese mini squares and layered salami fresh out of the Costco package. They were out of a couple of their beers we tried to order as well as the meat wrapped dish my husband requested. Then our dinner came. Unfortunately, the Wienerschnitzel was not edible as it was so dry. The bread that accompanied your meal was a store-bought bread cut in a triangle. The potatoes were also a strange texture, and the fact that it almost seemed like they were grated finely and then frozen without seasoning. We love sauerkraut of any kind, but the sauerkraut appeared to be pickled with a different flavor that left it so pungent we couldn't eat it. When we were finished with our meal, we waited a significant amount of time for our check because the waitress was sitting down at a table socializing with people she knew from the restaurant. When I say significant amount of time, I mean at least 20 minutes. We wanted to give this place a try because it's very close to our home but unfortunately we won't be returning. It appears they have a lot of sponsors backing the business, which is fantastic. I gave it a two star because of the beer menu however they were out of some of the beers. I'm hoping with more time they gain more structure and support. read more

Been to this wonderful establishment twice now since finding it. I went to Germany back in September and was really missing some traditional dishes. Upon my first visit, the room gave me the historical feel of german heritage. Immediately ordered the Schnitzel with a side spaetzle. The schnitzel came out perfectly cooked golden brown. Nice crisp to it. The spaetzle was the perfect pairing with it. On the second visit, I got a the currywurst with pommes (French fries). Man I felt like I was back in Germany all over again. The food is fabulous and the service from Xander my server both times was exceptionally amazing. I'll continue to keep coming back! Next time I'll get a picture of my third dish! read more

Fantastic food! Great service. We went here for restaurant week and were pleasantly surprised. Definitely a "rendezvous" spot for sure. Our server was so kind, even though the place was obviously much busier than normal. Took awhile to figure out tables at first but once settle it was a great experience. Our server was joking with us and so nice to our baby girl. Brought her a full plate of strawberries for dessert, without us asking. Our 2nd time in. First time was good , this time not so much. Food was okay, but sauerkraut was very mushy and otherwise nothing was exceptional. Service was very good first visit but poor this time. Server wasn't friendly, she did not fully understand gluten-free and wasn't able to provide clarity about the menu. She also was not aware that happy hour is offered and we were not given happy hour pricing for our first round. I drank only water due to allergy and I was never provided a refill, so I left thirsty!
