This place needs to be managed way better. Visiting out of state, extremely excited to see the kitties and just vibe since it came up on my instagram , but there is wayyyyyyyyyyyy to many people for the amount of cats here. It becomes awkward, because everyone is wanting that one cat. 2 stars because the cats are soooo cute. But there should be no walk ins allowed on the weekend, and just reservation, 10 people every 30 minutes. Cause I'm extremely disappointed of how this went! They do have some board games and drinks to get which is cool. But most likely during the week would be best to visit!

The goat, Claire! Please adopt him :D

The kitties were so adorable and friendly!! The staff were incredibly sweet and helpful as well! They explained everything and let us explore the many cutie kitties!! Parking was kinda difficult but we're new to the city so if you're a seasoned veteran you'll do fine! We spent almost our entire time with one cat named Claire and we almost adopted him on the spot. A few customers were studying there so I think it's a great spot to destress or it's the perfect place to study! If you're looking for a good place to adopt a cat I recommend going and giving one of the beautiful cats a good home! Adopt don't shop!!

Very chill cat cafe! It's a small coffee area and most of the area are things you can buy and various tables to sit, chat, and play games. It was pretty busy when I was there but plenty of areas to sit and cats to play with. We booked an appointment online but it didn't seem like it was necessary. But I would still schedule one just in case however, walk ins don't seem like a problem.

Visited on a vacation to Colorado and had some time to kill before hotel check in. Reserved a spot online, came by, played with cats for an hour and drank good coffee!

Okay, the fact that this cat cafe is a thing is brilliant and so heart warming to participate with. The cats were the star of the show here. Some very playful kitties and some sleepy hang out kitties. The coffee was good but don't expect this to be like your normal cafe with options. They sanitized the kitty play and slew area while I was here and it was well maintained. The people working were nice. I will say this place is not really meant for small children or loud people. Cats dont like being chased by kids and they scram when they hear loud noises. All natural. If you're looking for a cool place to enjoy some sweet purs and have a cup of coffee then this is a great place to check out. I would like to suggest some vibrant decor here the vibe was a bit mellow?? It needed some pizazz to match the cute kitties. Still highly recommend checking it out.

Such a cute place was so happy to hear they have cafes too in my hometown in Florida as well. Such a cute idea to help them find homes

We love cat cafes and try to find one in each city we visit. Denver Cat Company is one of the best we've visited! It's located in a cute area and you can make reservations in advance. They are chill about the time restriction as well. The space is clean and they provide multiple areas for the cats to hang, hide, or chill. We loved our time and will definitely be back!

Randomly stopped by here 30 minutes before they closed. Very active kitties and a few snoozing ones. The space: Huge spacey room with toys you can use to play with them. The middle is a nice area to run across for them to chase you. Lots of seating. The walls and ceilings were decked our with car shelves! There's also a little backroom where the bathrooms are and small spaces for cats to hide away and/or play. Beverages available in a fridge at the front along with a board with a description of each cat inside. The cats: You can adopt any of them if you fall in love as long as they don't already have a pending adoption. A staff member said most kitties get adopted within a few weeks, which is great to hear. They could have a few kitties to 25 kitties, depending on availability from fosters. I already have two cats but I'll consider a cat cafe as an option to check out if we get another pet. Price: Reasonable. $13/hour. We only had 30 minutes but I went in looking at it as more like a donation. Service: Nothing to say here. They were closing up.

Cat cafes are one of my favorite places to visit when I am out of town, and Denver Cat Company, without a doubt, is the best one that I have ever visited. You can tell that the staff truly cares for the cats. The inside is very clean, and there are plenty of spaces for the cats to lounge around or play if they want to. When I visited earlier this month, I believe there were about 16 cats. Upon walking in, I was greeted by Amanda who was extremely personable and explained a little bit about Denver Cat Company and the Denver Cat Rescue, the connected non-profit organization that supplies the cats in the cafe. Overall, the cats were playful and sweet. If I was not just visiting Denver, I think I definitely would have taken a kitty (or two) home, but it was still lovely getting to socialize with them. The entry cost was $15, which I think was very reasonable for the way they maintain this cafe and it supports the cats! I highly recommend visiting Denver Cat Company when you are in the area. Thank you so much for the work you all do!

Cats... cats... and more cats!!! Ugh, what a cut place. Walked by it while on the way to some dinner reservations and had to stop in to pet some cats and get some merch. I'm happy the cats have lots of fun, enriching toys and ample space to play, sleep, and hide from hoomans.

Cat cuteness overload! I'm so excited to find a cat cafe in Denver. It was $13 for entrance. They have a variety of cold drinks, hot coffee and hot tea. I went at a time when the cars where unfortunately very sleepy. But still so cute. This place has lots of places for sitting and chilling. And SO many houses and seats for the cats. Adorable cat towers, cat agility courses against walls. So cozy and cute. All the cats are adoptable as well! Each has a name and are so loveable. I definitely splurged and got some super cute souvenirs too. They have cute cups, clothes, cats toys, and so much more. Come by and pet some cats!

Planet Pethood is a nice little pet food store at 43rd & Tennyson, right next door to Wine Jesters…read more(the new little wine shop in the neighborhood). The store has various brands and types of pet food, treats, and toys. She also has a few adoptable cats and dogs that were obviously given up by their uncaring people parents. The owner is a vet tech and a vegetarian, and she seems to care deeply about animals. The shop is not as big or as fancy as Mouthfuls pet boutique down the street but it carries the dog food we buy. Nature's Variety is a great natural dry dog food. Our dog loves all the flavors... and while it is more expensive than grocery store dog food, because the food has less cheap "fillers", dogs actually eat less than they would of other "cheaper" brands. So, the price is actually only slightly more more expensive when you factor in the whole bag lasts longer than the same size of cheaper brands. http://www.naturesvariety.com/ 4 1/2 stars because she cares about the animals!

This small and very adorably designed pet store in the Highlands area combines a charming retail…read morespace with a passion for rescued animals. You can view animals available for adoption- usually cats or small dogs- every day during store hours. The store owner describes Planet Pethood as, "a politically correct pet store." I can't justify giving any less than four stars to a cute shoppette that combines support for pet adoption and rescue with a fairly nice selection of foods, treats, toys, leashes, and everything you need for your dog or cat; and Planet Pethood fully deserves the four stars it's getting. I do, however, have some minor gripes. For starters, both the store itself and the website are unclear on exactly what Planet Pethood's involvement with Planned Pethood, the low-cost vet down the street, is. Nowhere can I find an actual percentage donated to a specific organization, and as a rescue person that sets off a serious case of nerves. The website describes the store owner as having her own rescue- but where is the name, the 501(c)3 status, the official website? Also many of the links point to Planned Pethood, but nowhere does the store owner declare an official affiliation. My spidey senses would be beeping if it weren't for the clear support of rescues via adoptable animals in store. I'd love to know if this store donates its profits, and if so, what percentage and TO WHOM; also, how closely, exactly, it is related to Planned Pethood. Second, I have a few snipes to take at the dog food selection. Canidae and Timber Wolf are excellent choices, but where is Innova Evo? I wanted a bag of Innova Evo Red Meat, but left empty handed because it doesn't appear to be on the shelves. And Avo Derm? It uses ground corn in several formulas- NOT exactly up to my pet food standards. Breeder's Choice is similarly well packaged but lacking in actual quality. However, for the slightly less picky than myself, Planet Pethood seems to be a nice pet supply store with many good choices and a true desire to support rescue and adoption.

The director said the cat she was interested in wasn't up for adoption yet and she would have to wait. After many days of my mom calling and talking to the lady she basically said that the cat was already hers she just had to wait for him to be available. Today my mom called the shelter again and the director said THAT THEY GAVE THE CAT AWAY!!!! my mom was so devastated. We just lost our family dog and she was so excited and looking forward to getting a new cat. The director said it was because they had heard my mom say she was going to make it an outdoor cat, WHICH IS COMPLETELY FALSE. first, my mom would never do that. She specifically wants a cuddly indoor kitty as a companion, second the shelter specifically said she cant have an outdoor cat and my mom agreed with that part of the contract. It makes absolutely no sense. I could tell from the very beginning something was off about this rescue and I was right. I'm not sure what they're doing over there but whatever it is it's not good. This was about 2 days before Christmas. I was contacted by one of their adoption coordinators not long after and by New Year's Day I was having a meet-and-greet with my potential kitty. Meet and greet went awesome and I signed the adoption papers that day. In less than a week I'd found my new buddy! The adoption cost ($75) covered neuter, vaccines, microchip and more. I felt great knowing I was rescuing a safe and healthy animal. His foster mom was fantastic as were all the Pawsco people I interacted with. YAY! I get to finally write a review on 4P4L!!…read more We found 4P4L due to a Petfinder search back in 2021. The dog we initially adopted wasn't good with our cats even though he was fine in his foster home with the resident cat. 4P4L understood and we were able to return him. They had asked me to write an updated bio for him so that potential adopters would get a better understanding of his demeanor. He was such a sweet dog but my cats weren't his thing, which wasn't his fault in the slightest. I wrote the bio and he got adopted. I was then asked to volunteer and become a foster, so we started fostering. A 3 day sleepover for a foster pup is how we started and since 2021, we have fostered over 100 dogs and volunteer at adoption events. While it is so tempting to adopt all our fosters, we know we're just helping them adjust to home life. There have been a few that we invoked the 6 month rule: if we have the pup for 6 months, we would adopt him/her because at 6 months, you're a part of our pack. Last month, there was a need to foster these 2 rottie pups because it was time for them to separate from their momma and momma needed a break. Rotties are one of our preferred breeds! Well, we invoked the 6 DAY rule knowing that the pups would be adopted within the week. So that's it! That's how we got our Saoirse! Even if you cannot adopt, please think about volunteering with us or becoming a foster! A little weekend break from the kennel is what all the dogs need and you may just invoke your own 6 day rule!!

We arrived and she comes out to us, UNBATHED, UNGROOMED and she SMELLED awful. She had diarrhea all over her rear end and she was SO terrified, she was shaking and pooped in the girls arms as she was carrying her. It was OBVIOUS that not ONE person had worked with her, bathed her or groomed her since she arrived at this facility! Just put her up on line and waited for someone to adopt her. Clearly NOT in it for the welfare of these animals. Just the money. Never an apology or explanation for this. No follow up phone call to see how she was adjusting. NOTHING. Based on everything here, we DO NOT RECOMMEND this rescue. They are SHAMEFUL!

They have no comfortable place to sit (skinny…read morebackless stools), for folks to fill out the electronic adoption form which takes a minimum of half an hour. Then, after you as a customer, are kind enough to provide them with all this detailed information -- they state you will hear from them in 48 hours. WE DIDN'T. When they finally sent an email they stated that we would hear something from them within the NEXT 72 hours (business days). WE DIDN'T. I guess they justify their extremely rude treatment by their last sentence which basically says if you hear nothing from them, you can assume you did not get the cats you attempted to adopt! That is inconsiderate and rude! Their response to this review was they "claimed" they DID tell us there were other people ahead of us trying to adopt the same cat. UNTRUE! (Remember- there were two of us and you did NOT communicate this information to either one of us!) But all readers have to do is look at the multiple other reviewers who also said Almost Home has very poor communication. And, the manager's response was to agree they do have and continue to have this rude policy of failing to notify! I still say if people put in half an hour to answer all their multiple questions then surely they can send out a two minute text informing people they did not get the cat. I was even sorrier that the manager did not agree that they are rude and that in the future they will improve by switching over to a more informative process for the kind people who come to them to adopt their kitties. It appears too many of the cats at Almost Home must be adopted out as a pair which probably decreases their chance of adoption. There was a male volunteer there that seemed like he needs an education about what to say to potential adoptees. He wanted to tell us about THE ORGANIZATION from their point of view instead of providing what he should be saying to customers which is that the adoption fees are very high because it includes neuter/spay, shots and microchip. That is what people want to know so it would be nice if you spent five minutes (or less) teaching them this. As a pair of women with great veterinary care history, animals with longevity, an excellent income, our own home (main home in Colorado and vacation home in Texas) and excellent credit history, it makes me believe if they turn us down, then Almost Home has extremely poor judgement! All of our pets have always been provided with excellent vet care including all shots and even dental care. Our last kitty lived to 14 and only passed away due to renal failure. DO NOT GO TO ALMOST HOME thinking you will be able to adopt soon. They drag out the process more than what is reasonable. ALSO, DO NOT EXPECT GOOD COMMUNICATION or you will be disappointed!
