I got a flat. I was told by several people to take my bike here. I did have to wait because their reputation proceeds them. They are experts at what they do. Once it was my turn I was greeted professionally. Michael provided several options to me while providing his expert advice. On top of that my bike was fixed quickly and is better than ever. I recommend this place to everyone but then again there were 4 people in line behind me waiting patiently. Secrets out! They're great! read more

I called with questions about a Niner frame I was considering and was given lots of helpful advice. The guy I spoke to (Brad?) even made the extra effort to put me in touch with the local Niner rep, with no real assumption of getting a sale, he just seemed to be genuinely happy to help me out. It was a pleasant customer service experience, and based on this I would recommend this shop to others. read more

Showed up at 6:40 and website says they are open until 7 but they were closed. There was one guy and gal up there and the guy was very rude on saying they were closed. Not a good way to gain a new customer. read more

This place is a great! We went to get our five year old a new bike and Nick was super helpful and friendly. He even put a kickstand on the bike for us for free. read more

Was getting ready for an early morning ride and it was 3 pm. Cleaning and prepping the bike I found a broken spoke! On a late Saturday afternoon! On arrival I presented the wheel and a few other items I needed and upon my return in an hour, wheel was good as new and I was out the door. Excellent service from everyone I dealt with, great quality and I will definitely be doing my cycling service and business with Denver Bicycle from now on! Thanks! read more

I'm not a "serious" cyclist from, say, San Francisco. I don't wear spandex. But I've been a regular bike commuter (2-4 days/week) over the last 20 years in Madison, Minneapolis (well, not in the winter), Boulder and now Denver. The guys at DB are cool. They've tuned my 15-yr-old bike without sniggering (though they did gently suggest a new bike wouldn't hurt). They're helpful. They're honest. This is what I want from a bike shop. read more

This shop does great work with good prices; however, if you are looking for warm, friendly customer service, look elsewhere. The young folks working here know their bikes but sure seem like they wish they were somewhere else. read more

I like that they know their stuff. Great service. I got some great gear here. I appreciate the friendly service.

I called a week before I visited Denver (4/4/2016) and told Dillon that I would be dropping my bike off Friday and needed it back by Sunday. I brought in my bike, the lady at the desk said a part needed to be replaced that they had in stock. I was fine with leaving my bike there for a couple of days. I understand there are bikes ahead of me. She said they would call me. I saw her put , "Sunday PM" on my ticket. Friday, Saturday, Sunday...... Monday. No one called me. I waited patiently. I was driving back home Tuesday early morning. Dillon answers the phone and had no clue what I was I was talking about. ....."It wasn't communicated to me that you needed your bike back by Sunday afternoon." Basically, no one touched my bike until I called. He had it repaired in less than an hour. He charged me $9 just for the parts and didn't charge me labor. That doesn't justify how lazy they are. I don't care about how much it cost. It pissed me off how careless they are. I will never take my bike back to Denver Bicycle. read more

This is not the be-all end-all to bike shops in Denver, but it's near where I live and they have consistently been nice each time I stop in. Once an employee put my bike up, greased the chain and gave it quick once over for no cost, simply because I showed up complaining about how it was riding. I have since purchased some chain lube and some inner tunes from this store. I'm very satisfied as a customer and plan to do more business here when possible. Be aware that this store is in the back, and upper level of the Ace Hardware at about Colfax and Monaco. read more

I would generally recommend this place. However after being a loyal customer for over six years and the owner of six bikes, I was turned away for service because they were too busy, even after I offered to leave my bike as long as it took. While I realize that staff may be limited at this time, it also seems like a bad time to turn away a loyal customer. read more

They only had two brands of mountain bikes, and neither were your big names. No one looked up or said hi. I left without being noticed, looking for a place with actual inventory. read more

Great customer service and if you need hardware there is also a hardware store in the same shop. Decent selection of bikes.

I'm so thankful I found this place. Amazing service, I went in to get my back tired fixed and cut my bike seat down so that it was lower to sit on. The guy working was able to fix it in under an hour and it was so reasonably priced. They also had such a great assortment of bikes to shop from it was very tempting. I would highly recommend this place, at least for repairs. read more

This is a small bike shop within a hardware store. This store is more for beginners to intermediate riders. Bike selection is not as big as some of the shops you find in boulder. However, customer service is as good as it gets. TJ is the guy that I asked for help, and he was very through. I was given a few bike options for my height and was offered a trial, but I decided to buy the bike for the great price and service. read more

A bicycle shop in the attic of a 1950s-era hardware store with the stereotypical creaky old hardwood floors? Yep, this is the place, and in a most unlikely place at that....up the back stairs of the venerable and musty-in-a-charmingly-hometown-way True Value store right there at Colfax and Monaco. DB would get 5 stars from me if they had a little more inventory, but what it lacks in fancy-schmancy-pricey bikes for hardcore riders it more than makes up in charm and extraordinary mechanical service. Their head mechanic is as good as anyone I've found anywhere and super conscious about going the extra mile. I own six bikes and I would take all of them to this shop whenever I need work done before going anywhere else. I have yet to find such a distinctive bike shop anywhere, not just Denver. read more

A convenient, local place to get your bike fixed quickly. The guys know what they're doing and take care of you. It's a small place inside the True Value store, but bikers knew where to find them. I'll be bringing my bike here for repairs for sure. read more

I know next to nothing about bikes and what keeps them running smooth. Originally, took my bike to Bicycle Village, and was unhappy about the price and wait ahead of me to get my bike back. I then brought my hand-me-down bike in to Matt at Denver Bicycle and he took care of me! A tune up and basket rack for when I need it, I've never been so happy with my bike. I would definitely recommend them over "Tricycle Village" (as they lovingly call the competitor) for their great prices, quick service and the awesome group of people there. read more

Exceptional service. Super friendly and very knowledgeable. I went to 2 different places that were not open prior to finding them. Good thing. They did a good job. I definitely saved the best for last read more

Being a smaller bike shop they don't have everything under the sun, but they have what you need. I've always had great service from all of their staff as they are willing to answer questions and offer advice. Like any good bike shop, you'll need to schedule service for your bike as they often are booked at least a week, but that is more a testament to how good they are than anything else. And since they are located above my favorite hardware store I can save time by visiting both at once. Love this place. read more

Eben really made me feel comfortable and secure. I called ahead of time and was quoted $50-$80 for a tune. When I came in they helped me get my bike up the stairs and upon looking at it he put air in my tires and oil on the chain and told me he didn't think I even needed a tune. I will definitely be back! read more

This is the perfect place for me. It works for me. Matt and Matt were very patient and helpful. I am re-introducing myself to the wonderful world of bike riding. (Haven't done much since I was a kid, I am now 50+ years old). Both gentlemen answered all my questions and were very courteous. I will purchase a bike and accessories from this store. This was my second visit to this store, both visits were pleasant experiences. read more

Great simple bike shop. Came here for a light tune-up and to fix a flat and replace the inner tubes. They dusted my bike and it was in tip top shape. I wasn't able to get their before closing so they left my ticket open so the hardware store could close it out and I could get my bike that night. Very cool! read more

They were great! I was in and out in 10 min with 2 flat tires. Customer service was outstanding. I will be back here for all my bike needs.

Great little bike shop. The guy who works there was so helpful and really worked with us to help us find the right bike for our needs.Their bikes are more affordable than some of the other shops we had checked out. The bikes he helped us pick are great and we are really happy. read more

Bought a used mountain bike that had some issues. They checked it out, told me what it needed and what it would cost, and had it fixed up and ride ready in minutes. Honest and fair priced. All I could say was "awesome". read more

This is a great shop for everything. Took a new for me BMX for assembly. Dominic was great, added a few touches and got me on my way quickly. Will definitely come back for road bike service in the future. read more

Great place to buy from! The staff was VERY helpful and the bikes are awesome. I gave a budget that I wanted to spend and they made sure to get us what we needed for it. They even threw in some free stuff and cut us some extra deals to help us leave with a smile. I forgot my receipt and the warranty paperwork at the store and he called my the same day to let me know. They also helped us load the bikes into my vehicle and offered to deliver them the same day if we couldn't fit them in. GREAT PLACE! read more

As a beginner. . . I've always felt nervous going to a bike shop for repairs, equipment or suggestions since I've had some not so great experiences at pretentious shops **cough cough **places like bike village** would look at me like I was wasting their time! NOT HERE! The staff is not only friendly, knowledgeable, but caters to everyone's skill level. I think so anyways.. . . Shout out to Darren!!! He was by himself, working the entire store. . . And was impossibly patient with me. . . He talked to me like I was on his level, gave me some great info and didn't charge for something I know for a fact I would be somewhere else! I don't need another bike shop! read more

Can't say enough good things about Denver Bicycle. Excellent customer service, was immediately greeted even though they were busy with repairs. The service manager (Dominick, I believe) stopped to see what my bike issues were and decided to work on my ride at that moment while I waited. 20 min later, my bike was ready to go. The charge was minimal for that kind of speedy repair/adjustments. Gave additional tips on what to watch out for as well. No attitude, just great service - thank you! read more

The employee made my day! I was just in to fix my jogger stroller tires. I didn't have a bike issue and was really expecting to be blown off. The guy who helped me was so nice and really went out of his way, was super fast and it hardly cost anything. Now I'm ready to take my bike in there! read more

The staff was friendly and they were able to quickly fix my bike when I got a flat tire mid-ride. I will definitely be back.

just wanted to take a minute and let the management staff know that i called in on June 24th lookin for help/advise. Austin answered the phone and after a breif conversation he offered to receive pictures of my bike on his personal phone in order to accurately answer the questions i had. This was a great help cause i am currently without a car to drive my bike down to your shop to have my questions answered. So needless to say i was very satisfied with the service i received from Austin because of his willingness to go above and beyond you are my offical bike shop and the only bike shop i will visit when in need. Thanks for everything keep up the good work read more

I took my bike in to get a tire tube replaced and everything seemed good until I rode it. 3 days later and one bike ride and the tire is flat. When I called to see if they could help me out they said "it's that time of year".... well I won't be returning to get my bike serviced there again! read more

Somehow I jacked up my front dereailleur riding the other day and for the life of me I couldn't adjust it. I had to ride home from Downtown Denver to Alameda and Havana area essentially in my lower gears due to chain rubbing again derailleur. It was memorial day weekend and I called all the big bike shops and they told me they were a week out and acted like i was a nuisance to them and should know better how backed up they would be. I actually expected not to be able to get in to be honest, but the attitude of the service shops I spoke to (REI, Bicycle Village, Performance, Turin) turned me off to them. I called DB and asked the same question "How far out to look at my bike and possibly tune it up, here's my problem..." and they said to bring it in and they would look it, no promises on turn around time. I took it in and they took me in right away, looked it, told me my derailleur was bent? and hooked me up on a new one and installed it in less than 30 minutes. The shop was busy too, I probably counted 12 bikes that they worked on or took in promising they would be done in less than an hour. Now again, I know these aren't full blow tune ups, but they took the time to ask the right questions to determine if they could satisfy not only me but the other customers as well all while getting bikes repaired in less than an hour. They were super nice and did not rush anyone that I saw and took the time to answers questions even with customers standing over them while working on bikes. If you need your bike repaired fast and for a decent price (their stated tune up prices were less than the other shops as well) go here. Sure their selection is not fabulous, but the service and caring attitude of the techs was 5 star for sure. Now, I'm about to get out and ride my bike and enjoy this beautiful weather this Labor Day weekend. read more

I brought my grand daughters bike in for a quick repair. Lee fixed it on the spot. Great customer service. I will go back.

I had a rear wheel replaced on a bike and got it home and it never kept air. By the time I got to call them and figured it out they said they wouldn't help me or be able to fix it AND they would not have any record of having worked on my bike. UH? What? read more
