The staff were very pleasant, and they make you feel safe and I recommend anyone that needs to get their teeth done or clean go to them.

On the strength of a great experience with Dr. Amrani (you can see my review from 12 years ago), I…read morehave come here a few times and recommended it to others, BUT... The last time I was there I saw Dr. Oluremi Ogunsanya for a consultation, and I have to say it was among the most unpleasant encounters I have ever had with a medical professional. Dr. Remi, as he was introduced to me, badgered me, treated me like a child, questioned my referring dentist's diagnosis/credentials and just generally acted like a rude, arrogant teenager. He never even looked in my mouth. I ended up getting my referral back and going to a place that is way less convenient simply because a) if I want to get yelled at, I will ask my boss to extract my tooth, b) he seemed pissed off at me in a way that felt almost personal, although based on other reviews out there, it appears to just be the way he is, and c) I didn't want to give him any of my money. When I went back for the referral and a copy of my X-rays, I could tell from the front desk employees that I was not the first, even though I never said a word about why. And I see other reviews right here on Yelp that have to be about this same doctor. Dr. Amrani is great, but I would be wary of Dr. Ogunsanya.

Hello I am writing this review because I had a great…read moreexperience. The care was very good. I didn't even wait 1 hour before they called me to the back. I got my wisdom tooth pulled with sedation. The doctor was wonderful and had humor, which made me feel comfortable. My mother work as a dental assistant for 15 years. I was able to go to work with her when I was a little girl, and I work in the medical field for 20 years, patient care is important. Listen I don't expect nothing but the best when it comes to my health. My regular dental office is horrible. Only thing the patient could use some entertainment while waiting . I am writing as I wait for my escort because I am done! In and out. Simple, not overly booked, oh it's chilly in there too bring a jacket. I hope this helps anyone who has anxiety about the dentist. Thank you Sidebar: I made this appointment on 5/4 and was seen on 5/5 @9am and was out by 10:20 I was by treated by Dr.Feygin

When…read moreanother receptionist was speaking to me about my past medical history the older one started to yell at the wall without turning around or addressing me at all so I assumed she was on the phone, the receptionist I was originally speaking to when the other started yelling had to let me know the other woman was in fact speaking to me. The older receptionist then made a rude comment. You could tell the younger receptionist was embarrassed about how the other was acting. A lot of the nurses in the back genuinely seemed angry they had to speak to patients at all, aka do their job. It made me pretty nervous to go into surgery with people like this. Dr. Norman was great and went over any concerns I had, but realistically because of the other staff and the care I received before and after surgery I'd recommend finding somewhere else to go so it's safer and more comfortable for patients!!! I definitely would have gone somewhere else if I knew how they treated their patients beforehand.

Went here this morning (3/26/11) for extractions. Dr. Moses Datson was the one who performed the…read moresurgery. He was compassionate and took the time to explain what was going on with my teeth and what my options were. It felt like he was seeing me eye-to-eye rather than the condescending vibe that a lot of medical professionals give off. The other staff, receptionist and RN(?), were also very professional. They were courteous and also knew what they were doing. It's a good way to start when you're about to be sedated and have serious work done in your mouth. I ran out twice before the procedure, once to tell my wife that I was going to receive a sedative by IV in addition to the Novocaine shots in my mouth, that I was getting 3 extractions, and that I might be more woozy than we had anticipated after it was done. I ran out the second time to use the restroom. Even though I may have stalled this well-oiled machine, Dr. Datson joked about it saying that he had to get me while we were both in the room or I would run out again and asked me if I was sure I wanted to get it done today. I overheard from a patient that they *only* do extractions, but I hope not because I would want to return here for any oral surgery needs. It's only about 4 hours after and I'm feeling pretty good, will update if anything negative regarding Advanced Oral Surgery of Brooklyn occurs.

HORRIBLE experience:…read more - They tell you to leave a positive Google review BEFORE YOU EXIT THE EXAM CHAIR and will check to make sure you have! -As others have stated, they give you issues regarding insurance. I knew my procedure was covered but they told me to pay out of pocket and would submit a claim to my insurance for reimbursement. I followed up with them several times for months before they finally filed one and once they did, they used an old billing code. My insurance notified them to resubmit with an updated one and they have refused and given me a runaround. If you don't know your rights as a patient and your evidence of benefits, this office will screw you over. I have proof of constant follow up and that the code they used is old. I'm now working directly with my insurance to look into the matter since they (Sherry specifically, I think that's her name) are being unhelpful. Beware of this place. Only thing that was okay was the Doc was quick, but there was a lack of post op instructions and that can make or break the results of a procedure.

From the start, Dr. Shah took the time to thoroughly explain the risks and benefits of removing each wisdom tooth. After discussing my options, we decided to remove only the problematic tooth instead of all of them. I appreciated that he prioritized what was best for me rather than recommending unnecessary treatment. The procedure was quick and I didn't feel any pain except for the pinch of the needle. Dr.Shah is very knowledgeable. You can tell he truly cares for his patients. I felt comfortable and reassured throughout the whole process. The rest of the team was just as wonderful--everyone was friendly, welcoming, and efficient. All the necessary medications were sent promptly. I had no complaints. If you're scavenging for a place for wisdom tooth consultation, this oral surgery place is it. I highly recommend this place and would come back again in the future.

Horrifying experience. So incredibly fucked up…read more I was told (and I confirmed multiple times) that I would be unconscious for wisdom teeth removal. I was supposed to get all 4 removed. Instead, they hooked me up to anesthesia via IV (after making fun of me for being terrified of needles because I have tattoos) and proceeded to numb my mouth. I never fell asleep/lost consciousness - I was 100% awake for the entire procedure, in pain, crying. I kept waiting to black out but I felt everything - they cracked my tooth apart and pulled all the pieces out, I heard the doctor asking for suction, etc. They stopped after the first tooth because I was crying hysterically. THEN they told me I had been asleep and hadn't felt any pain. I understand that anesthesia can be disorienting and people don't realize they've been asleep. However I remember every single detail of the surgery from IV insertion to removal - and I knew exactly how much time had passed. They kept claiming that I had been asleep, but if that were the case they wouldn't have stopped after 1 tooth. I was completely awake and aware during and after surgery. I was not disoriented or loopy as I left the office - just angry and panicked and in pain. This morning (24 hours later) my entire right cheek is numb. They hit the nerve in my jaw and I can't feel anything, which at first I thought was due to swelling. I understand that sometimes anesthesia is not predictable but I believe the anesthesiologist messed up and lied about it, and to be told that I didn't feel any pain is so insane and scary! Please don't go to this oral surgeon, I don't know what to do except warn other people. Terrifying experience.
