The welcome bag
Asiah C.

Its been a while i feel since my last cleaning and my soul felt like i needed a new dentist. This time my search did not begin on my trusty yelp but on google. I found this location and something just felt right. Looked it up on a Tuesday and booked my appointment for the next day. They called me early Wednesday to confirm and do a little intake. The staff at the front just ah-amazing over the phone and in person. When I arrived they handed me a little welcome to the practice bag and it was very thoughtfully done. No more little flimsy plastic bags but a nice canvas tote with some dental equipment and a choice of hand sani or an eos lip balm. on to the service, this definitely felt like the best cleaning that i got in my life. Hats off to Mayra who got in each crevice really removing plaque. I also pleased by the new technology present to scan your teeth. No more mold lets take 3D color photos of it! Hands down a great experience with good vibes all around. This was actually the first time i didn't experience that anxiousness that i usually have in the seat while at the dentist

Easily one of the best dentists I've been to in a long time; they were friendly, accommodating, and did a thorough job cleaning my teeth.

Environment is very comfortable Dr. Steinbach was the first doctor when I was visiting right after covid ended because I had a root canal during covid that needed a crown. He was very honest with me and told me I would need an implant. It was a very dramatic news for me but they were wonderful. I was referred out to the close by ortho dentist and the came back to get my crown. The entire experience was straight forward and easy. They never tried to upsell me anything. My only issue with this location is the Dental Cleaning. After finishing up the issues with my teeth, I had a dental cleaning and it was extremely painful. I thought it was just normal when I started visiting the Court Side location since it was more convenient for me, Dr. Karpova did my cleaning was literally pain free. I assumed it was cause maybe previously I had dirty teeth This month I did cleaning at this location again since it was convenient and since I been keeping up with all my cleanings it wouldnt be too bad. No, it was very rough and felt rushed. I did not feel comfortable at all. I might try court street again for cleaning, but if its still painful I think I will switching for cleaning. However for other procedures where the actual dentist is working on it, I would absolutely recommend this place.

All of his personable staff were a joy to be with. With his state-of-the-art technology, I was always informed, learned a lot and was reassured seeing his office was consistently Covid conscious. Dr. Zidile is a good listener, willing to explain every detail and prepared a comprehensive long-term plan for me (with pricing) which was open to revisions. He relieved all my apprehension about the procedure and amazingly! there was never pain. I was given printed material for aftercare and the doctor and his team were available by phone and email for questions every step of the way. I have seen other doctors since him and have only now realized how poorly I was being treated. Never ever again.

I know, reviewing a dentist seems kind of odd--you'd figure someone would only bother if something…read morebad enough happened they wanted to sue. But I'm not shocked i came here and found more reviews than some restaurants have at such a high avg. Such is the ridiculous quality of care here--they go the extra yard for you, and you just want to reciprocate. I've had only one check up here (referred by my girlfriend, a longtime satisfied patient). it was simple, thorough, straightforward--no cavities or anything, so no major work. But the level of attention and smoothness of whole experience what we all think every medical appointment experience should be like, but unfortunately rarely is. Having my records transferred from previous dentist took one email... no follow-up, no five phone calls for confirmation, no lack of follow up... just made the request and they confirmed almost immediately. For my appointment, I met two separate techs who introduced themselves, explained everything (first visit, extra x-rays), asked questions and listened. Apologized several times that dentist was away and that they would fill him in. For follow up I had an email exchange from Dr. Dressel, apologizing for absence, giving his impression of x-rays and asking if any concerns on my end. We exchanged several emails... I was just flabbergasted--I don't remember the last time i received a non-form email from an actual doctor or dentist before. Tl;dr--come here -- you'll receive far better care and more attention from a doctor and staff than I imagine you are accustomed to.

People are so petrified to go to the dentist and I think this practice tries to be compassionate so people come in for all their check-ups without worrying so much. They even coordinated with my old dentist in Texas and ensured I got replacement retainers now that I live in Brooklyn without charging me a thing. They just said "That's what we're here for!" What a relief! I will never go to another dentist!

Everyone, from Drs. Hansen and Hoang, to Alice and the front desk staff, to the hygienists, are always so nice and friendly and professional. Next week they start scraping my gums and I'm actually looking forward to it! (okay, that last part's a total lie. But you get the picture.)

I am SO thankful for Dr. Hoang after an absolutely HORRIBLE experience at Prospect Heights Dental…read more(which you can read all about at their Yelp page). After a practice that didn't take covid seriously, did an unnecessary and COSTLY dental procedure that I am still healing from weeks later, hurting my lip, and being just a complete disorganized disaster, I'm really lucky that my second shot at dentistry was so much better. I prefaced in my last review that I made the mistake of not going to the dentist for a long time - granted, I didn't have insurance for 6 months and then the moment I got insurance, covid happened and I got scared. But still, it's reasonable I had a ton of build up/tartar/gum disease and definitely a wake up call for me. At the last dentist, I was told immediately I needed a root and scaling/deep clean without them even doing the measurement thing on my gums, just x-rays. They did the root and scale on my right side but not my left (only one is done at a time), which has left me weeks later with angry miserable gums, gaps in my teeth I didn't prior have, and cost me $500 out of pocket. When I got to Dr. Hoang, she actually took her time examining my x-rays, my gums, and my mouth to find that 1) the deep clean didn't even deep clean, as I still had a bunch of tartar making my gums even more unhappy and 2) my gums weren't as bad as I had thought, and I didn't even need to do a root and scaling/deep clean on the left side. If I had gone to Dr. Hoang in the first place, I wouldn't be still miserable, with ugly and uncomfortable gaps in my teeth that I literally struggle to talk and eat with, and wouldn't be out $500 as all she did was a regular cleaning for me on the left. My biggest disappointment is I didn't go to her first. On top of that she's super sweet, lets you ask questions, doesn't make you feel bad about your obvious mistakes, and makes sure you fully feel comfortable before she does anything. Thank you so much for restoring my faith in dentistry. The practice is also great!!! Sallie from reception was very pleasant over the phone and email, and I'm not sure if it was her or a different receptionist at the front today, but she was great too. Everyone is wearing masks and taking Covid very seriously. They sent out a covid form the night before and took my temperature when I arrived. And...... last thing, they were playing Death Cab for Cutie when I walked in. As a born and raised Seattleite, this made me so happy :)
