Lunch on a Saturday for 1. It was very cold - 21 degrees. I walked over from the adjacent hotel. I was seated near the rear near the bathrooms away from the door and windows. Got ice water and a menu. Decided on the salmon entree with broccoli and rice pilaf. Service was efficient. The food was overall very good. The broccoli - overcooked almost mush. The rice pilaf seemed reheated - a bit crunchy. The salmon with a lemon butter sauce was PERFECTION. OMG - what a happy surprise. But as I sat and finished my meal, I looked up and around. Oye Vey - what an ugly site. So many dirty, stained, and open-to-the-rafters ceiling tiles. Ugggg. The shop manager needs to get on this and call the district HQ and request funds to replace the ceiling tiles. I wish I could say I would return because seriously, I could eat that salmon every single day. But, the condition of the ceiling ~~~ how can they work there every day and not notice how bad it really is??????? read more

Denny's used to be my go to for eating breakfast for dinner. This location was only moderately busy, not as busy as the one in North Aurora. Service was great. Our waiter made sure that we were well taken care of. Our drinks were always filled and our meats were cooked to our liking. I got the grand slamwich. The sandwich was huge. You got scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, and American cheese inside. Not too salty. There was a heaping amount of hash browns on the side. I also got a bowl of potato soup. Everything was satisfactory to my liking. The steak was a little too rare when it first came out but the waiter made sure that it was cooked a bit more. They're open for 24 hrs so it's a decent place to eat anytime. read more

I used to live in Darien and this restaurant made me survive during my work at Loyola University Mediical center. The work was hectic and I had little time to cook. It is open 24-7. Lot of late nights , I had my meal there. Always loved their chicken noodle soup. Meat loaf or beef roast was so delicious I can have that anytime. I had my waiter Paco most of the time. He is very nice and full of humor. He brightened my sad tiring days all the time. It was my favorite place to have my late dinner for long time. I moved to a different city. A number of the false ceiling tiles were missing while others were clearly in need of replacement. For a Denny's it was also very dimly lit. Staff was friendly. Our waiter tried several times to understand my dinner companion but to no avail and finally out of impatience turned to me to get their order. Service was timely. At this point I wasn't expecting much at all from the food. Surprisingly though it was as good as it looked on the menu though slightly smaller. I arrived in Willowbrook after 2am due to a flight delay, and starving. Denny's was nearby and convenient and predictable. I was a bit disappointed at having to eat someplace with that description the first night of my trip, as I prefer more exotic fare. The night crew at Denny's got it though, and the cook assembled a novel veggie burger for me, with white cheddar cheese, sautéed mushrooms, bourbon sauce, lettuce, tomato, red onions and pickles on a brioche bun, cooked to perfection. The fries were great as well, and the server, busy with side-work, kept me company during my brief wait. Right next to our hotel so it was very convenient, just a 30 second walk which is always appreciated. I never eat at Denny's so I wasn't really sure of what to expect. The inside smelled of disinfectant which I suppose is a good sign but still a bit off-putting. I got the Ultimate Omelet with added avocado and hash browns on the side. The omelet itself was very large and pretty good overall though I thought they would put cold avocado on the top instead of cooking it inside. I was staying at the hotel next-door, which has a restaurant, but I assumed it would be overpriced, and since it was deserted, which isn't a good sign, decided to check out Denny's next-door. Figured it would be cheap and good enough. I was very pleasantly surprised, first of all by the genuinely friendly greeting from my waitress, and the attentiveness of the (I presume) manager. Well it's nothing spectacular but it was nothing bad either. It's been a while since I dined at a Denny's and ordered a healthy option of seafood. My only disappointment was the portions of the sides were small. Maybe Denny's is trying to make people more health conscientious by controlling portions. Other than that it is Ok. we came here christmas evening for dinner! we were seated very quickly for a group of two, it was quite busy & just got busier as time went on! the queso and chips were very good! i just wish they filled the cups up more with cheese, it was half way full. i also got eggs which were good too, just could've been a bit more warm, & hashbrowns which were good! a way bigger serving of the hashbrowns than i expected as just a side, i love the crispness of them! the pancakes were good! the chocolate banana combination was good. the hashbrowns were tasty and a little bit disappointed i received sausages instead of bacon but it was christmas so it's okay. the eggs were ok, not my favorite part of my meal. overalll we both had a very filling and good christmas dinner! read more

"America's Favorite Diner" is the Dennys way and with a server like Sandy, it truly is our favorite!! She is absolutely a delight and such a hard working lady! Great service, food is like any other Denny's I would say. It's a convenient location and all the staff here that I met have been pleasant. I believe I've been to this location twice, maybe more. More recently I stopped In for a to-go order because they were the only place open. I'm pretty picky when it comes to food but when you have no other choice, you have no other choice. It was late and everyone else was closed. *sad face* The staff was patient and kind. Not only that, my order was ready really fast! I went next door to the gas station while they were making my order and when I got back my food was waiting for me. My order was hot and not bad, again, like any other Denny's. Okay. So I know and understand this is Denny's, cheap breakfast food in a quick manner. I went there only because they advertised a free Beyond Burger with drink purchase. That's how they lured me. I should have known right away that something was amiss as rap music was coming from their speakers. I like rap, but it's quite unusual to hear when dining. The hostess didn't seem too thrilled when I asked for a different table provided. Hey, I like to be away from the bathrooms and face the front door at all times, so sue me. Upon ordering the Beyond I requested the sauce on the side. She informed me it didn't come with sauce. I'm pretty sure both the menu description as well as the picture had sauce on it. I literally had to pint this out to her. She also felt the need to tell me it wasn't vegan. Well of course not, it has cheese. So I proceeded to inform her this was fine, as I'm a vegetarian, not vegan. She kept insisting it wasn't vegan. I therefore had to attempt to educate her regarding the difference between vegans and vegetarians.....I eventually just gave up. I also ordered a half order nacho appetizer, because, well nachos. In addition I ordered a kids meal with mashed potatoes and pancakes. Good times.... The nachos were so disappointing. It was basically a bowl of crushed chips with about four full sized ones on top holding the ingredients. Decent taste, but wtf? I'm paying $6 for bottom of the bag chips? The Beyond was basically overcooked and all bun. Very, very subpar, but it was a good thing I didn't have to pay for it. The waitress initially gave my daughter bananas rather than mashed potatoes, but quickly corrected it. They were hot, and it seemed like my youngest enjoyed them. Like all the other establishments attempting to jump on the "plant based" bandwagon, Denny's falls short. Educate your servers about what constitutes a vegan lifestyle; educate your cooks how to properly cook a Beyond burger(preferably as far away from meat products as humanly possible); and don't have rap music blaring. I came to grab an order and she was professional and efficient in ensuring everything was ready for pickup for me. Was allowed inside with 2 other people. We were seated as usual. There was not even one single customer in the building. The manager said we'd have to wear face masks while sitting there with no one around us. When we mentioned that there was no one around, he said "it's for the other customers". I asked "what other customers?" and he simply said "sorry" and asked us to leave. This place is awesome!! My husband and I have made this our weekly "Friday Night Date Spot" for almost 2 months now. The food is always hot and fresh and the waitstaff is incredible. I've ended up here twice lately in the middle of the night, looking for some breakfast. Once around 11:30 pm and once around 3:30 am. Both times, I ended up with perfectly cooked, very tasty food, served very quickly, and with friendly interactions with the staff. Exactly what I was looking for. First time I had the Fit Slam - a very nice egg white scramble with spinach and halved cherry tomatoes, served with a dry english muffin, and a bowl of fresh fruit. Healthy and very tasty. The second time I was looking for more traditional and ordered my basic breakfast without even looking at the menu. 2 eggs over-easy, with bacon, hash browns and wheat toast. All cooked exactly right. In and out in about 20 minutes. I can't say how they do when they're busy, but the late night crew seems to have their act together. read more

I am so tired of restaurant's and business saying they cant stay open past 7pm and blaming it on Covid!!! On Google they say there hours are 24HRS and on Yelp they say there hours are till midnight. I understand that there is a major understaffing problem due to Covid but how hard is it to wipe down a table.
