    Salad to go

Great breakfast spot tucked away from the hectic action of Oakbrook shopping center. Plenty of parking. Menu is breakfast and lunch. Skillets are well portioned. Salads are tasty and modern. Staff is friendly and helpful. Coffee is good .

The service is always great. Upon entry, guests are greeted with enthusiasm and warmth. I was carrying my tablet so the Host asked if I needed to be seated near an outlet...so thoughtful! The food is consistently great! Fresh, fluffy eggs, crispy potatoes all perfectly seasoned. My server, Josh, was so polite and kind. I will continue to patronize Egg Harbor Cafe.

The restaurant is very inviting and comfortable feel. The staff warm and friendly. The menu good options especially meat for breakfast including chicken sausage and turkey bacon which isn't very common everywhere. The ambiance pleasant and makes for an inviting experience. My coffee was enjoyable and well balanced... I was very pleased My meal very rich and tasty but the potatoes were a bit hard for me so I did eat many of them. The pancakes were really tasty and I don't enjoy pancakes as much usually because of their thickness but these were perfect and thinner. Overall I would return for more..

Cute clean friendly place to grab breakfast. The service was super fast! I am a potato gal, and I wished the potatoes were crispy. Overall it was a good place, just not anything super special.

Visited Egg Harbor Cafe for brunch. I ordered the Cozy Scramble and coffee. The food came out incredibly fast, in the time it took the waitress to walk away from our table with our orders and washing my hands, I came back and my lukewarm food was already at the table. My food was good but again, room temp. I did enjoy the chunks of brie scattered throughout my scramble. Skip the coffee though. It's not good. We went to another coffee shop afterwards to get drinkable coffee. Great service. Everyone was very friendly!

There's a reason why I keep coming back to Egg Harbor Cafe! The food is hot and made to order, the service is spot on, and the wait staff are always very friendly. Not to mention, the atmosphere is peaceful and pleasant!

Egg Harbor Cafe is an amazing place for breakfast. We stopped here on our way to enjoy the fall foliage in Morton Arboretum. I ordered the chia pudding and it was delicious! It was beautifully plated, super yummy, and filling without being too heavy. The menu is very expansive, so there is really something for everyone. The service was excellent as well. Our server was polite, efficient, and very welcoming. I look forward to coming back!

Sam S. From the Oak Brook location was hands down the best waiter I've had in YEARS. Friendly, attentive, amazing demeanor and very timely as well. He should teach a class on hospitality in a small restaurant setting. Our food was really tasty, nice portions, and I'm actually looking forward to returning sooner rather than later just so I can experience that level of experience again by Sam, as I'd be asking for him by name.

Great place!! Delicious breakfast! Very friendly staff!! Stopped here on our way back to the city after spending the night in the burbs. So happy we did! Had a dirty chai latte, amazing!! Each of our dishes were great!!

My friend and I went for breakfast here the other day. There was no wait and we were seated right away. Our waitress was very friendly, offering up her recommendations--which is always helpful. The food was so freaking good. Since it was a special occasion, I ordered a breakfast alcoholic beverage and it was delish! We scored a booth, and that was delightful! They have huge, oversized booths and it allowed my friend and I to have a private conversation while still being in the middle of it all! I highly recommend this place!

I went there 4 times for my breakfast while in Chicago. It tells a lot about this place. The breakfast options are so healthy, I love it. The price is reasonable. The menu is online, you can scan and access those from your smartphone. The food was super fresh and tasty. I definitely want to go back there again.

Egg Harbors are kind of all the same, but you might never find this one without GPS as it doesn't face the road! Good stuff: - if you want a decadent hot chocolate, this is the one! - berries instead of eggs were tasty and lightened up the biscuits and gravy - they have a separate gluten free menu which my friend needed A few quibbles today: - the biscuits were pretty gummy from the get-go, not on par with The Hen House or Southern Cafe - I do not like their wobbly, lopsided plates!! Overall, decent spot though not the best around for breakfast

    Monica happy!

I really hate any American breakfast and it is not because I am a vegan. Every American breakfast place is basically like 3 options - eggs and potatoes, pancakes/waffles/French toast etc. I find it very hard to believe that nobody might prefer a pizza, chicken nuggets a burger etc. Not everybody in the US has to want the same exact thing for breakfast every day and no other place is open in the morning. My American husband loves going out for breakfast and judges a place by it's Eggs Benedict. Just kept getting more and more crowded to the point where I was being shoved into the bathroom hall behind a sea of other waiting customers. The ambiance is loud, overwhelming chaos. Perhaps they need a better system or take on less customers. I wasted my Sunday morning in there. Definitely will only be returning in my nightmares! Not worth it! The cinnamon, star of anise, and sugar have a nice balanced flavor. The chilaquiles con bistek y salsa verde was DELICIOUS!! The salsa had the perfect amount of heat and flavor. We ate at one of the booths in the bar and the bar itself is huge - and looks like a great casual place to grab a drink with someone. For drinks - we got the Signature Doli. While we still preferred Sullivan's rendition of the drink - this one was tasty. For appetizer - we got the Jerk Chicken Fondue. I would recommend this. The service was slow and she knew it. She kept apologizing, saying that there was a birthday party she was serving even though we didn't see it for ourselves. When I went to the bathroom, I observed Taisha leaned back with her elbow on the counter having a convo with her coworkers. She had time to talk and hold entire conversations, but not enough time to give us better service. The drinks took forever. My husband's rose margarita was good. My sunset lemonade tasted like regular juice. I didn't like it but I drunk it anyway. About 15 minutes later, Taisha slammed the soup on the table. The Redstone chicken soup tasted like it came out of a can. It was more veggies than anything else. Very little noodles. Very stingy on the broth. Very disappointed. So here we are almost 1 hour later and still munching on this canned soup. No main dishes yet. I mentioned the slow as a snail service and my husband agreed. So we finally get our pasta dishes. He ordered the Chicken Pesto Bellagio. The chicken was paper thin and dry. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi that turned out to be a disaster. The shrimp in my scampi wasn't deveined as you can see in the picture. The pasta sauce was thin and lacked flavor. He asked for Tabasco sauce so he can eat the dry chicken in his pasta dish. I asked for Parmesan cheese so my sauce can have some sort of flavor. Even that was a fail! We didn't get the sauce and cheese until 20 minutes later (in my Spongebob voice). The cheese was obviously old. You can see the old and dry chunks in the bowl in the picture. Everything was bad all around except for the margarita. We wasted $97 and some change for mediocre food and service. I'm mad because it was my idea and ended up wasting our hard earned money. We always ask the million dollar question after every new dining experience: Will we return for more? The answer is an unanimous NO. Zero out of five stars. Will not recommend.

Close at 10pm but if you need longer later hours a 1am tea shop is about a quarter mile down the road with good options also. Parking lot with plenty of parking. My highlight is that they have booths. Plenty of tables and seating. Good menu options for lattes, iced, hot, espresso, etc. Reasonable priced and they have 20oz coffee. The service was nice as the girl was kind but she didn't seem to understand me well and she didn't know if the coffee was Turkish or not. Therefore, I ordered an Americano with their homemade pistachio sauce. It was a nice beverage. I also ordered a Turkish bread with ground beef. It too was delicious, hot and fresh.
