    NEW- Cinnamon Roll Pancake Breakfast
    Lucy E.

Literally has to be the worst Denny's location EVER. Even their take out is terrible. Take a look at the photo I posted. Their Moon over my hammy had one single piece of ham. I've had it before at other location and it never looked this sad. It was basically just an egg sandwich. The hash-browns were okay nothing special. The fries were better than last time. The cheesecake was okay but came covered in old strawberries and a bad syrup. They have really gone down hill in the last years.

It's a Denny's, so set you expectation! Service today was very good and I hate to say it..the food was really good. Our kids ordered chocolate chip pancakes and our one girl order birthday cake pancakes that had this vanilla topping that looked way too sweet but she loved it. I had the chicken fried steak with broccoli and corn because the calorie count scared me from getting the fries. The chicken fried steak was very good and not too salty. Wife had whole wheat multigrain pancake and really enjoyed it. For sides they have really thin bacon but we're surprised that the fruit that was including was not full of melons. All in all- food was very good and service was excellent...and not expensive at all!

I have come here many times and never have a bad experience. I have dairy and gluten allergies and they have plenty of options for me. The service is always very attentive and helpful and go the extra mile to ensure that my allergies are catered too. I love the hash browns, and the gluten free English muffins make me feel like I'm eating a real breakfast and not just a collection of allergy free foods.

    Good food

Would have given it a 5 if they still had the bacon jam on the day I went, but wow it was very good. Excellent server and food options. I love the paintings/pictures on the walls as well. Super super filling though, hole bubble babble do. But Overall pleasant experience.

This is one of my favorite places to chill and get a big breakfast! I ordered the hammy and cheese omelet, with a side of hash browns and toast. The breakfast was huge, and very filling. Along with a very filling breakfast, you'll never be disappointed with the proportions, as they don't skimp on anything. The servers are welcoming and friendly, though we did have one waitress who would kind of just stand by the tables and space out. Thought not too much of it, as it only has happened once out of the 25+ times we've come here. I don't recommend going on a holiday, as it can get very busy, with a at least 10 minute wait for a table. But any other time, it's not too busy, the noise level is normal, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The menu has a wide variety of pancakes, waffles, crepes, omelets, anything a little more healthy like oatmeal or fruit bowls. Along with gluten-free options and vegetarian/vegan options. Recommend this diner/restaurant for anyone wanting a big breakfast and nice atmosphere to spend it in!

Our waitress insisted that we had to buy a drink to avail the free birthday meal. $2.99 coffee (cheapest).

I went on my birthday and got the FREE birthday meal wih a drink purchase (although nowhere in the menu or website did it say that a drink purchase is a must). The food was okay, I mean nothing extraordinary. The prices are fair. I will probably be back if I don't feel like making eggs at home...probably next year, on the day of my birthday again.

Build your own breakfast: buttermilk pancakes, 2 sausage links, hash browns, scrambled egg whites.

The salmon was tough, tasted bad, rank. The seasoning was weird and didn't pair well. It had some kinda spice that tasted odd. I don't even know what to say about it. But later that night I was throwing up well into the morning. I only eat possibly 3-4 small bites, most of the dish was left back. I still tipped and didn't complain as I just wanted the kids to have a nice night without arguing with whoever. As I write this I am reminded of the disgusting taste. NEVER again for that dish! Now that I think about it I honestly shouldn't have tipped. Paying for that dish was already above and beyond!

The bar area is bright and well laid out with a good mix of booths and high tables. I can't comment on the dining room as I have never sat in that section. This time, we came in to grab some drinks and grubs before catching a movie at the Landmark Cinema (my favorite theatre in Durham region). We sat at the bar and ordered the usual bar fare with a few pints of non-American beer. Their pan bread is a guilty pleasure with soft, pan baked bread sitting in a delicious mix of garlic butter, some herbs and grated parm. Yum! Their wings were on the small side but fried well with the accompanying dipping sauces (med Buffalo and ranch for the veggie sticks). It was exactly what you would expect. Service was still very attentive during this time. Our appetizers included: complimentary bread, escargot and shrimp, cajun calamari, and a large ceasar salad Our drinks: coffee martini, cosmopolitan, and lychee martini Our mains: trout and scallops, pickerel and shrimp, and seafood di mare The appetizers were great, and the large salad was enough to feed 3 people (could have fed a 4th as we had leftovers). The star in this bunch was really the escargot and shrimp. It came with a buttery sauce that was good with the complimentary bread. The oysters were also fresh and came with salsa and horse radish topping to choose from. The calamari, while good, was overshadowed by the others. It was meant to have a cajun taste, but I did not get that flavouring coming through, but it was still a good app regardless. For the drinks, the lychee martini seemed to be a favourite given the amount of alcohol while the cosmo seemed light on it. So if you're looking for a martini with a fruity kick, I'd recommend going to the lychee martini. The coffee one tasted more like coffee, but it may have been masking the amount of alcohol based on its strong flavor. For the mains, all three were excellent. The seafood di mare is very decadent and heavy. After eating so many appetizers, I barely had any bites, but it did make for some great leftovers.
