Gotta day I can't start the morning without breakfast. Eggs, bacon, and some type of bread is always needed to kick start the day. Didn't know what I going to do until a friend's brother took us to his favorite diner. You guessed it right, it's Wimpy's Diner. Upon entering, immediately I get this back in time vibe. The old style booths, the posters everywhere, and the random music playlist. It was amazing, I was already reeled in. The biggest test was indeed the food. I ordered eggs, bacon, fries, and toast. The eggs were heavenly, I mentally kicked myself for not ordering more. But I didn't want to keep the boys waiting. The fries were seasoned to perfection. A recipe I wish I had myself. Eggs and potato anything is my absolute weakness. We came back the next day, now that's love.

No more corned beef hash?!?!?! Whatttttt??? Not impressed as i came here hoping to order corned beef hash, and being an all day breakfast diner, how could you not have corned beef hash? I ended up ordering the eggs Florentine, the hollandaise sauce was flavorless. Instead of home fries i asked to sub with sweet potatoe fries which was served dark brown black color, not the typical orange color? I suppose it was burnt or triple fried.

I come to this location often because it's very close to my house. The staff are always very friendly and the service is always amazing and fast. The portions are huge and there are so many awesome choices on the menu that I always have trouble deciding. Some of my favourites are the western omelette, the club sandwich, chocolate chip pancakes, strawberry french toast, the five star combo and of course the burger which is humungous. I usually get the smaller size. I also recently tried the eggs Benedict and it was wonderful! The decor is also awesome! So much fun stuff to look at on the walls. I will always come back here. My go to for a quick, large and awesome breakfast!

My second time here and anytime you're nostaligically craving some old diner food Wimpy's is usually a safe bet! Thankfully there's a location thats close to home Hwy 404 and Steeles at Shops @ Steeles Plaza. The interior is decked in a 60's to reminisce the old days, with bar stools along the counters, checkered floors, and overal vibe. The last time I came here their Corn Hash special $9.75 was pretty scrumptious, however second time around the Burger GoDS were calling me back. Last time I had a burger was approximately 4 months at Johnny's, so it was long overdue! Wimpy's TEX-MEX 10oz was my saviour, and boy was it huge. I up-ed/ biggie'd my combo to include fries and a coffee. All Canadian BEEF you could taste the quality of the meat, and to me that was KEY. There's nothing worse than having bad quality beef, and quite honestly it can MAKE or BREAK a good burger experience. Thankfully Wimpy's has maintained it quality grade beef which is why it's always a diner favorite. The service was awesome, and quite efficient.......................................................................To be honest all this place is missing is GUY FIERI from Triple D (Diners Drive-ins and Dives) :P

Good simple and well priced American food. Good if you're craving something more westernized that isn't fast food in the area

The experience here was not like any restaurant I've ever been to especially in the states. The staff were so friendly and kind. They made us feel like we were apart of the family. Our server kept saying she was so happy we found their restaurant. So happy we came to visit. She was so sweet. Let's talk food. DELICIOUS!!! Everything is made fresh. They give a pretty large portion I feel everything is shareable. I do not like turkey bacon at all. I don't know why they did to this turkey bacon or if it was because we were in Canada. I can't stop thinking about it or the blueberry pancakes. When we come back to Toronto we will definitely stop back by. Good service, a nice family environment, and good food is hard to come by. This place definitely has it all.

I'll be back just for this. Highly recommended! We also ordered a Double Smash Burger ($16.95) and NEW Biscoff Milkshake ($9.95). Both were very impressive and flavourful. The owner was there and super friendly. I could tell why there are so many good reviews for this restaurant. Absolutely satisfying dinner experience here. Willing to come back next time :)

While it was busy, and there were a lot of families and large groups there, we were able to sit down immediately. The parking was readily available in front of the restaurant, and we could see multiple servers and a host all working. While we ordered rather quickly, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time, it took quite a while to refill water, have someone check on us, or get the check. I certainly understand restaurants being busy, though it would have helped for the servers to help each other's tables as need be like other restaurants I've been to. The food though was very good! We all ordered from the All Day Breakfast. I ordered the "All Day Breakfast" consisting of 3 eggs any style (I ordered scrambled), with bacon, ham or sausage (I picked bacon), toast and French fries. My sister ordered a Mediterranean Omelette, which came with onions, red and green peppers, mushrooms, and feta. She also ordered sweet potato French fries, which should have been only $1 more but we were charged $4 or so more by accident (and we didn't catch that until we got home). My cousin ordered the "3 Eggs" breakfast consisting of 3 eggs any style served with toast and French fries. Again, everything tasted great and was prepared well. I have memories of family members taking me to Windfield's as that used to be my grandmother's only go-to restaurant. She would go there for any meal, and while I think we all would roll our eyes when she would suggest we go there (as it was so often), I've come to realize that she enjoyed going for the community. She knew the servers and host well and also many of the patrons who were regulars there with their families. My grandmother would walk from table to table saying hello to many familiar faces while making new friends and learning what they were eating. While my grandmother is now 100 years old, she rarely leaves home for meals. My sister, my cousin, and I enjoyed our breakfast there today, and my sister recognized the server while I recognized the host. We showed a photo to our server, and she immediately recognized my grandmother and my aunt and asked about them. As the website (https://www.windfieldsrestaurant.com) states, Winfield's is "A Taste of Home." It has been "serving families since 1994" including my family from the very beginning since they opened. I will likely be back there with other family members on future visits!

It was hearty and flavorful! The eggs were very runny and I used the English muffins and delicious garlic home fries to soak it all up! We were then told that the business will be going through a rebrand with a new name and new menu offerings. For the moment the only thing that has changed is the menu. The exterior and interior is exactly the same. Flavours are very Asian fusion with things like kimchi fried rice and bi bim bap but there are also more mainstream items such as Rigatoni Alfredo with chicken and short rib Benedict. Flavours are still good with decent portions. We were checked on several times so service was good. What was a miss was how the food came out of the kitchen. Food came out sporadically with the last dish a full 10 minutes after the first leaving that person sitting and waiting while everyone else ate. This is still a very popular place. It was almost full for a Monday lunch.
