If there is any place that I go to as a busy working student in Westwood, it's here, and it's always fantastic. The atmosphere is chill, there's always plenty of space, parking is a cinch (usually impossible in Westwood), and no coffee shops nearby can compete with how much work you can get done. But besides that, it is incredibly affordable with great food and better service! I go here for breakfast at least once a week. The grand slam never disappoints, everything was cooked just how I like it. But what really surprised me was their burger - seriously good stuff. My favorite part is the service, which has always been outstanding. All the waiters, bussers, offer a very attentive yet relaxed environment. I never feel rushed or constantly interrupted but never feel neglected as well, they have the perfect balance between attentive and efficient. Their manager, Michelle, is an absolute delight, and always goes above and beyond to make me feel welcome and give me the best experience. I have never felt that anything fell short of excellent when dining here, and she plays a large part in that. Everyone is incredibly kind, hardworking, and are so friendly that you will always leave feeling satisfied and in a great mood! Overall, Denny's, especially here at Westwood, is just a great place to grab a meal. It's not fancy, it's not Sugarfish or Italian Bistro, but the food is solid, the prices are a steal, the vibe is more than friendly, and you'll be happy. Things are slow my getting back. First time at this location. From the outside, i thought it would have been bigger inside but that's not the case. But this location does have patio dining which is quite nice. I had an hour to spare as I was early for a morning appointment. Walking in, right by the door there's a sanitizer station which is nice. Also, only limited amount of people allowed inside at a time as lobby isn't that big. You would wait outside until the group in-front of you is seated. It's not that big inside so seating is limited already. Tables are utilized one after the other. There's an empty table between each group. They had paper menu but I believe you could scan and the get the menu online. All the employees are covered in their mask. Your typical Denny's meals. Breakfast was good. You get what you expect. Price wise is good and plenty of food. When condiments are needed, they're brought out in little to go containers so no exchange of bottles are touched by one another. I'm sure this place gets busy as it's around UCLA with the students. But this morning it was pretty mellow, plus school is out. Overall, food is pretty much you expected with Denny's. Bad service. I entered the restaurant and the woman at the counter didn't look or greet me. After waiting a couple of minutes, I asked if I could take a seat and adked for a menu. By far the worst breakfast we've eaten all year. To get uncooked sausage and hash browns. The spongy pancakes had a taste that was undescribable. Lastly we asked for the bacon to be crispy instead it was one step away from being burnt bacon. All of this occuring in an empty restaurant with 1 other customer is beyond me. One of the cooks was sitting at the third booth as soon as you walk in. Talking to the ONLY waitress who was on her phone, having a conversation with someone on her airpod the entire time she served us. She never came back and asked how we were doing. I eat at this location several times a week during different times of the day. I was in early today at 4am and Maria was there to greet me with a smile and a fresh cup of coffee. She knows me by name at this point and always has my coffee ready. I always enjoy my visits here and ever since Michelle has taken over as manager I have seen a noticeable improvement in the restaurant in its cleanliness and overall experience. read more

Our server Lupe was amazing, she was super nice and made sure we had drinks all the time. She quickly brought the babies food which we greatly appreciated since he was fussy. Baby loved his crackers and my partner loved the omelette, he said the avocados were good quality! I loved my club sandwich just forgot to ask for no tomato. Right in the heart of Westwood UCLA neighborhood! Parking is limited - only street parking with two hours maximum, or you can pay for parking around the corner at Ralph's/Target structure parking. Much smaller location, but much cleaner and less crowded during the day (Monday). COVID vaccine card with California ID are required to enter which is a good thing, bathrooms are clean and sanitizers available all over the place. Food is just okay, my friend said her food was a bit cold and didn't taste fresh, but service was good and staff are very friendly. read more

While having at least 10 customers inside the building. I could still understand if it was late night but this was 6 pm on a regular day, also the waiter was rude and had an attitude didn't apologize nor try to tell me to come back later, and all the customers were eating so he wasn't in a rush. I've never written a yelp review or really complained about a restaurant but I'm doing it now to say: go somewhere else. The wait is long. The food is not worth the wait or price. I've been here twice; both times i had to wait at LEAST 45 minutes for food, not including the time it took to get someone to take our order. We waited another 30 minutes after being seated just to get water. (The diner wasn't even 50% full either time, so it wasn't rush hour; I imagine they're understaffed at night.) It probably took at about two hours after we entered the restaurant to get food. I was so exhausted that I considered walking out the second time, and giving up. When the food finally came out, the toast was burnt and the bacon was thin and short. I was admittedly growing impatient because of my hunger, but I genuinely lost my appetite out of frustration and exhaustion. I just took it home because I wanted to be out of there. I would've rather cooked at home and not spent $20 for mid food. I shouldn't have given this branch a second chance. read more
