Normally I don't yelp big chain restaurants but this Denny's has top of the line service. It's been a while since I've been out to a restaurant to eat and this was a wonderful experience. Amanda our server was so friendly and actually funny. Can I take her home with me for when I'm feeling down? Had a good time having her service for our short meal here. The cinnamon pancakes were crispy on the outside and soft ooey gooey on the inside. The wings were phenomenal. But the service Amanda gave is truly top notch. My husband and I decided to go out for a quick dinner. We were greeted by a beautiful bubbly young lady named, Koiya. She was quick, detailed and attentive. Ok, I admit it. I went to Denny's and I wasn't drink after dancing all night. BUT! The Tracy night crew is awesome! I ordered carry out and crossing my fingers... Lorraine, the lady that answered the phone was super kind and helpful (mind you, it was midnight). I wanted a burger and fries but no menu...she walked me right through it... 10 min later the masterful bacon avocado cheeseburger came out...I said, "who made this?" The chefs name is Chris. I had to thank him because was expecting "Denny's." Denny's has definitely upgraded their food! Just wanted to give a shout-out to Maria B, who took my to-go order today! She was extremely sweet and patient. I ordered a veggie omelette and wanted to see if I could substitute extra veggies for potatoes. She understood what I meant exactly and asked if I wanted extra spinach, onions, or tomatoes -- I got my order exactly how I wanted it. My food was packaged well and I got it within maybe 5 minutes of ordering. I've been to a lot of Denny's restaurants in my life but tonight's experience was the best I've ever had. Although the building itself could stand a little TLC, the staff was top-notch! I'd like to thank our server, Alonda, for being so friendly, attentive, considerate, and kind. She made sure we were comfortable and that we had what we needed. Our time there was relaxing, not rushed. And Alonda was so attentive that we felt valued as customers. But it wasn't just us. We noticed how attentive and friendly she was to all the people who were there. But it doesn't stop there. The chef that night was Sistos. The food he cooked was fantastic! My sandwich was perfect and delicious. Sistos also went the extra mile. Two in our party shared an order and Sistos divided the order (the bourbon chicken skillet) onto two plates so they each had a plate. It was such a kind gesture! For a chain restaurant, the service was so good. When me and my friend entered we were immediately greeted and sat down. All the workers we so kind and attentive. Our waitress was super sweet and bubbly I wish I had caught her name, it completely slipped from me. But she was incredibly lovely and made my first Denny's experience a positive one. Food was great and tasty. We were recommended the cake batter milkshake without any hesitation and I agree- it is really good. Probably one of the best milkshakes I've had. Blended smooth, the perfect consistency and not overly sweet. Just subtle sweet and creamy. I wish I could have finished everything but unfortunately I was just so tired and stressed out from a long day at work. I don't know why but denny's to me has always been my last resort for food... I guess I've never really gave it a chance. But the other night I ordered it through doordash and it was honestly amazing. I got moons over my hammy, sausage, and hash browns. The moons over my hammy was AMAZING, it was a little soggy but that's expected since it was in a To-go container and delivered, and it was so good that it didn't even matter either way.. The hash browns had a PERFECT crisp it them, and the sausage was great! Oh and I got mozzarella sticks which were great too with a side of ranch. It was a perfect midnight snack and I'd honestly choose it over nations any day! So I'm a huge fan now, and I now have to work on self control so I don't order it every day lol. The food was overpriced and such little portions, it had been a couple years since we stopped at a Denny's but we were traveling late. We will not be going back to any Denny's after that experience. I haven't been to Dennys in awhile, but last I checked they were always accommodating to seniors and Veterans. Well not in Tracy. My Disabled,Senior, Veteran husband was denied a to go box after not being able to finish his full meal. He did order an endless breakfast at $8.99 I myself ordered a full breakfast. He asked for one refill and finished over half of it. This was to be my husband's only meal for the day due to dietary restrictions. We did not abuse the ALL you can eat. We didn't take home ask to take home a full meal. Are servers ne was Rachel S. When I asked her again if she could bring me a container and her manager, she brought me back the menu to show me the fine print of no to go endless meal, and then she asked where I worked. First impressions are everything: The so called manager (small m on purpose) is rude and unprofessional. Did I mention unkempt? Admittedly, it's a busy Saturday, post High School graduation but, that's not reason enough to greet and take the name of the couple in front of us and then not acknowledge us after making eye contact. Unfortunately, this will negatively impact the tip of our server. How can someone in his position not understand that it's the total dining experience that counts. Additionally, the so called manager and his female crony spent time making disparaging comments about one of the servers along with fostering an environment where backbiting, brown-nosing and being a non-team player was encouraged. Questions: Since when is it appropriate to have a non-service dog in a restaurant? Is it not part of ServSafe certification to wear hair nets? Now about the rest of the experience... Our server was exceptional! The food was good, skimpy portions but, good overall. Sooooo.... Would I recommend coming here? Based on the food/table service, perhaps. However, because leadership dictates everything else, NOPE, NOPE, NOPE! We were passing through town and starving so we stopped in. This is probably one of the best experiences I've ever had at a Denny's. The food was hot and fresh and came out really quickly. Our server Quoia was beyond fantastic. Super friendly and polite to everyone. There was a small mistake on our appetizer and she noticed it before she even got to the table. I didn't have to say anything. She sat the appetizers down, said I'm gonna get that fixed and walked back to the cooks. She was kind, polite and friendly when talking to them and had them fix the mistake. The cooks had is corrected in less than a minute. This Denny's has become our go to stop for midnight breakfast on our way home from a show or baseball game in the Bay Area. Our favorite time is between midnight and 1:00 AM. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The food quality has always been very good. This last time I ordered Meat Lovers Slam. The eggs were perfectly cooked to over medium and the pancakes were light, fluffy and did not need much syrup. I enjoyed breakfast with my mom this morning and was lucky enough to have Kristin as our waitress. She is super attentive and sweet and we always enjoy our time here when she's the waitress. She went above and beyond to make my mom feel special on her birthday and I really appreciate that. However, the table in front of me didn't get so lucky. They had their food brought out by the manager (Mark) 2 skillets, one with eggs with cheese and one with eggs without cheese... to my surprise when the ladies mentioned that their eggs were swamped instead of offering to take their plates back to the kitchen, he had them switch the eggs themselves.. using two forks they maneuvered the cheesy eggs and plain eggs to the correct skillet. He watched them do it and then said is that ok now? Obviously this isn't my own experience, but I wanted to mention in hopes he sees this and understands how unprofessional and strange that that looked. read more

The inside of this Denny's is clean, newly remodeled; staff friendly, food well-prepared. We had a nice meal and enjoyed chatting with the staff. The exterior, however, is why I'm only giving three stars. Pulled in and the parking lot and driveway are very dark. Poor lighting and burnt-out bulbs! The parking is behind the restaurant, and the entrance by the street. By the time you walk in and see the sign warning you to leave absolutely nothing in your car due to a rash of break-ins (which is common sense, but sometimes you leave a jacket or a box in the back of the car)... I did not want to walk back in the dark and deal with that; I felt it would be more obvious to do so. A great deterrent would be to have bright, working lights in the lot and along the driveway. So we came in for Christmas dinner they were kinda busy , they sat us quick. The lady was dressed nice I think she was one of the managers. Anyway service was great everyone enjoyed their food and service but I ordered soft eggs with cheese and told her please cook in in the egg not laid on it. -didn't happened!! I would have given it 5 stars if not for the disgraceful, disgusting scene the manager Laurie unprofessionally started in the restaurant , in front of everyone!!!!!! I was there with my family last Sunday morning . After an amazing morning we decided to stop and grab a bite to eat. Everything was good and then the lady Laurie (later found out she was the manager) started SCREAMING across the room to the server Yvette (who was doing just an AMAZING JOB by the way). The manager was belittling her and telling her she didn't know how to do her job and just horrible way to treat another human being. Made the entire customers cringe with disgust. We felt so bad for Yvette and for all the employees there if this is how management treats their employees. I truly hope upper management reads my post and corrects who they hire as manager!!!!! We will no longer be patronizing that particular Denny's because we Do NOT support businesses that mistreat their employees just because they think a position of manager gives them the right to mistreat others!!!
