I was having a major pregnancy craving for biscuits and gravy. My husband decided Denny's would work. It was super late after we went to the gym and nothing was open. The restaurant felt very much like a diner at the time. It was just us, our server & a cook I think. PSA - do not go to Denny's for their biscuits and gravy. HOWEVER- giving this particular restaurant 4 stars for this visit because the service was amazing and our server overheard us talking about our pregnancy. We just found out we were having a girl. She brought us a stuffed animal from the claw machine and said the chef likes to win them and she usually gives them to little kids, but gave one to me to congratulate us on our pregnancy. The feeling of walking into a dimly lit Denny's on a cold winter evening is nostalgic and comforting. When the kids wanted to eat at a diner, I had low expectations, but was pleasantly blown away by the delicious pancakes, eggs and hash browns. The kids loved their chocolate chip pancakes and mac and cheese kids meals. I enjoyed the build-your-own Grand Slam. This particular location is warm, clean and cozy for grabbing a late night bite with the kids! The night waitress, Mary, was so kind and helpful. Grabbed dinner tonight and took it to go. Glad that I did because it was freezing inside. They had space heaters scattered throughout to try and warm up the place and I don't think it was working. I visited the Denny's located at 10575 Watson Rd in Saint Louis, MO around 10 a.m. on November 4, 2025 and had one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've ever encountered. I ordered the appetizer sampler. When my food was delivered, I was shocked to see that the man who brought it had his finger knuckle-deep in my ranch dressing. He pulled his finger out, wiped it on his pants, and started to walk away until I stopped him and asked for a new ranch. As soon as he walked off, I noticed a black hair on my plate. My server offered to have it remade, and I agreed--asking that everyone handling my food please wear gloves and hair nets. After waiting 45 minutes, I left with my order, still without any apology or acknowledgment from the manager. When I returned to work and opened the food, I discovered that the dressing I specifically asked for was missing, the boneless wings were cold, and they looked as if they had been reused from the original plate that had the hair on it. I've tried calling the restaurant six times since then and haven't been able to reach anyone. At this point, I feel the need to share my experience on every platform so others are aware of the severe lack of hygiene, professionalism, and customer care at this location. read more

Came here one night with my family and I think it was only 3 people working total that night so service was slower than the last time I was there with my family a month prior. It was cold outside but also cold inside. I could feel the air conditioning blasting down on me. We all kept our coats on. This time, I ordered from their comfort dinner menu, instead of my normal "breakfast for dinner". I ordered mac and cheese brisket. It was really good but the mac and cheese was really runny. I want to start by sasaying our waitress was very nice. We waited at the front to be seated for over 15 minutes before we were acknowledged. There was a line of people waiting to pay that formed after we got there. They took care of them then walked away. When the waitress finally asked us how many we had she walked away and didn't come back. Another waitress came over asked how many we had and then told us it was going to be a while. Mybhusband said we were just going to go somewhere else, then she imimmediately said, "How about I put you at the round top". We sat down and the first waitress came and took our drink and food order about 5 minutes after we sat. When our drinks came, my cup had black flecks floating in it and hair. The waitress got me a new one. Our food came, none of our foods were hot. Mine was cold. I ordered the Afterlife Melt which is supposed to be "made with fried mozzarella sticks, melted American and Provolone cheeses grilled between two slices of artisan bread". It was hard and cold. I went in to pick up an order, and had to go back in because they forgot to put the seasoned red skin potatoes in with it. When I went in to ask about it, the girl who originally gave me the order ignorned me when i came in. She sat someone who was behind me in line, helped another person who came up to pay for their food. That didnt bother me as much, but when I got the chance to ask about the potatoes she gave me some attitude and said they were in there when they were not. My first real breakfast since landing in Missouri. I already knew for a Sunday to expect it to be busy, ensure enough it was. But as soon as I walked in the door I was seated right away. The young lady assisting me today was very polite and stayed on top of all of her tables assigned to her. Although I had one of the slight mixup in the type of eggs that I wanted with my meal due to the fact that I was really hungry I ate it anyways. She did offer to switch it out but I just wanted to eat lol! Very very busy as this location is right between two or three hotels and one of the main roads going to the town. But I was definitely able to sit and take my time and enjoy my meal and my coffee. Lots of politeness from the staff working here my visit was delightful and if I had to visit a Denny's again I will probably choose this location. Thanks for the hospitality! read more

Arrived around noon on a Friday. Daughter ordered Grand Slam breakfast-- 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 pancakes -- she asked for poached eggs and also got eggshells! Son ordered a burger with upgrade of bacon and seasoned fries; he said it was good. He also got a mango shake, which was good. I ordered the honey chicken sandwich with upgrade of onion rings (instead of plain fries); no complaints. Our server Alayna was working all her tables as best she could. She guessed my son needed water after he finished his shake, which was nice. Older lady who rang us up at the front, however, needs to be much more friendly to paying customers, esp. not take a tone with paying customers. I saw her earlier bringing to-go orders from the back -- maybe she should just work the back. Denny's isn't on our list of frequented restaurants, but we went today for my daughter to redeem her birthday offer. Probably won't return anytime soon. read more

Me and my family went here after a weekend trip. Our waitress was super sweet and we could tell she was stressed out. The bald guy running around calling the other workers cruel names and being unbelievably rude and obnoxious, made the experience horrible for every customer and every worker in that restaurant. He was yelling at everyone, calling people names, throwing stuff, and at one point punched a wall. We ended up asking our waitress if she was okay because of how extremely violent this man was. We left her a large tip to hopefully help her out. There was one waitress crying because of this man. Our waitress said he was not a manager, so not sure why he was speaking to other workers the way he was. I hope he is fired and removed as soon as possible because the way he was acting, this was not just a one time occurrence. There was also some sort of altercation in the kitchen with him as we heard yelling and things being thrown and him yelling very violently at a cook. Walked in at 10pm (4 hours before close), red haired woman asks for how many, we say 8-9, she says we can't fit 9 together. we then ask if it would be possible for us to be split up and she slams her hands down, says "I guess it is possible" in an extremely rude tone, dramatically grabs the menus and silverware and storms over to our table. She slams the menus and silverware on the table and throws the chairs and slides the table and tells us to sit down. She then marches off and lets off a loud and annoyed sigh and continues to glare and whine at us loudly to her co worker. we leave as we fear she would tamper with our food or have awful service. There isn't a rating low enough to accurately describe our "dining experience" today...there were 2 other tables when we arrived and our waitress was more concerned with nodding off than serving us...when our food did finally come up for delivery, she literally stood still "sleeping" and after several bell rings from the kitchen I finally walked over to pick up the food myself and she's standing behind the counter dropping lettuce in a bowl for a customer who arrived 25 minutes after we arrived and 7 minutes after our food was up - I guess she didn't like a gay couple coming to her restaurant - I guess we should have gotten a clue because shortly after arriving my husband looks around and says, "it's 445p on a Friday and there's only 6 total customers in here to eat, that can't be a good sign." We were staying at the hotel next to Denny's. We walked across the parking lot to grab a quick breakfast and when we arrived there was a wait. I put our name in and asked about how long. The kid behind the counter said "awhile" rudely. I asked - how long is awhile and he said I have no idea. Our systems are down and we can't make food. Apparently no one ahead of us had been told as well. He was so flippant and rude we left and drove to Bob Evans. There was a much better way to handle the communication. My husband and I are regular customers at this location. The is food always tasty and prices are easy on the pocket. However, I must honestly say what keeps us coming back is Merri! She is an absolute consumate customer service representative/hostess/server. Her overall pleasant attitude and attentiveness is bar none. Service is always good here, really good in fact. Food is delicious. Surprisingly their Tilapia Ranchero is amazing with perhaps the best and freshest avocado I've ever had stacked on top!
