This is the worst Denny's I have ever been to. When people talk crap about Denny's, this is the place they are talking about. Let me start my review. Our waitress had the whole back section, a total of 10 tables for one person. Note to the manager, this is way too many for one person! When I asked for more coffee, her response was "I'm really busy, sorry". The lady who rung us up, rang us up and said she will be back and walked away. The stress of the waitress was very apparent and made it uncomfortable to ask for anything. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting w no attention to them. This place is a hit or miss sometimes you get good food other times you get nasty undercooked food. For curbside it's the same sometimes they answer the phone other times they don't. I eat at Denny's all the time but this was the worst one I have ever stopped at. They brought our food out in section so by the time we got our complete order the first set was cold and we had to send the cold over cooked eggs back. The bacon had grease dripping off it and the grits after waiting extra long for them came out raw and cold. Great service. Food ok for a 330 am breakfast. Server was good and on top of the order. Even told a good joke.

Hours say they close at 12. We walk in at 11. Lady tells us they close at 11:15. The server attending to the only table filled walked up and said "are you taking them?" I thought it was rude so I decided to take my order to go to hopefully cut down on unnecessary washing of unused dishes. While we were waiting for our food the servers were shit talking with the manager about the only table in use. The lady helping us was 50/50 in terms of service. I want to cut her slack cause she looked tired but also note her attitude wasn't the best. She only seemed to liven up after I tipped her on our way out. The place was nasty and definitely needs to get cleaned. I didn't dare set foot in the bathrooms but I can imagine it was just as bad. I won't be coming back to this location. read more

After a 30 minute wait they called us to be seated, find out they gave our table away on accident, no big deal they said to give them another 5 minutes they'll get us a table. We wait another 15 minutes in the lobby after I notice other people being seated I confront the person at the front and they apologize because they left our name crossed out and kept calling people after us. We finally got seated but then after ordering they tell us the food will be about 40 minutes, we say okay because we already waited 45 minutes to be seated so why leave now? Anyways we waited an hour not 40 minutes for the food to come back out. I get they're busy but an hour wait for food after ordering is ridiculous. Should have gone to a small business and got the same food for same price with less of a wait and better quality, lesson learned. read more

Do not ever order food without being seated inside. I ordered 3 separate meals to go last night. I received notification the food was ready for pickup, so I drove over to pick it up. When I got there they informed me they were actually just starting to cook my food, they were all breaking together.. so I waited and didn't get my order until 2:00am. After 2 hours, When I got the order the kid tells me one of the entrees I ordered they were out of so I could call the next day to try and get a refund. I was starving so I just took the food and left, got home and I was supposed to have 2 cheeseburger meals. One box had a cheeseburger, the other only onion rings. I got one cheeseburger meal for $50!!!! When I called today to tell a manager, she informs me I will get refunded for the nachos, but the cheeseburger she wants to review cameras and interview employees. Not only was I ripped off but my family had nothing to eat, then I was treated like some thief/liar. Decided to just call my bank and report the entire order and write a formal complaint with corporate. read more

Mediocre service, waited 5 minutes up front as the register was empty. After 5 minutes someone came and hurried us to our seats as if we were the ones being slow..... Ordered breakfast and the crepes were cold, told the waitress who proceeded to roll her eyes while taking my plate. Returned a few minutes later with the same crepes just reheated!! My daughter's hash brown was also cold beyond repair, we left after only being able to eat about half our plates. Customer service is what keeps your customers coming back. This Danny's has very little. Waitress Marilou asked if I needed anything else a whopping one time when I was completely done with my meal. She never asked if I wanted a refill on my coffee. Mean while the other waitress refilled her customers drinks like 4 times. Dear Annette: if a customer walks up to the counter and your busy, a simple I'll be right with you goes a long way. I did not appreciate the fact that she didn't acknowledge me at all. Not a word. Growing up I was always meh about Denny's but my local one has never let me down. Short staffed is always a problem for most people. But when they have workers like Yosef you forgot that they were short staffed because of his down to earth attitude and fast service, which makes the dining experience 10 times better. There was an incident earlier in the year where a live bug was in the midst of my food unable to determine if it came that way or found it's way onto my plate is unacceptable. My food was remade yet I remained uneasy and decided that I would stay away. I was charged for the meal when It should've been removed from the bill regardless if it was remade or not. Fast forward some months This location did some remodeling so I had hoped that this would change my dining experience and I should try again seeing as time had passed. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The second visit after months away was regrettable. My meal had an extra ingredient luckily this time it wasn't a bug. In between my sampler plate was a long strand of hair. This was the last straw and I decided to bow out before any other unexpected things appeared in my dish. I am relieved yet disappointed to hear I was not the only victim of this reoccurring issue. We normally do not have an issues when ordering food from here, but last night we ordered two sandwiches that would have been grilled and they were so greasy we could not eat them all. My husband ended up taking the bread off and eating the middle. I could only eat half of mine. Let me start by saying our waiter was nice but not properly trained. We had a cake with us. I asked the hostess if she had a place for it. She said yes, led us to our seats and that was it. We ended up putting it on an empty table. Several tables remained dirty in the dining room. Fries were cold. My son asked for Monterey Jack on his burger instead of cheddar and got no cheese at all. Our food came out sporadically. Our table remained a mess. The waiter touched the tea pitcher to my glass several times. The food was good and our server Marilu was wonderful. She nice, friendly, and very attentive. The take-away was the manager. My husband and I were there for breakfast. We were waiting to be seated and two women arrive and stood behind us. The manager greeted the women behind us and was getting ready to seat them. We informed the manager that we were waiting to be seated (obviously first in line). She spoke to the women behind us in Spanish and they told the manager that we were there first. At that time Marilu came over and seated us. She had observed the blatant discrimination of the manager and appeared to be embarrassed by her behavior. Love Denny's but oh boy, this must have been Lenny's because it was nothing like a Denny's I've been to. Felt like some chorizo for breakfast on a Saturday morning so I took the wife and baby out. They sat us in the middle of the room like we were monkeys at the zoo being watched even though we have our baby with us. So why the bad review? I order the Santa Fe Skillet only because it should come with chorizo. This Santa Fe had no skills! None! It was the size of what a 4 year old would eat. I brought it up to the waitress Marylu and she said her manager informed her that the portions were right. The manager didn't even make the effort to come by and tell me herself. Probably inexperienced young manager, not the right move. I said fine, no big deal, I'm with the family at a family restaurant. Didn't make a scene, just smiled. Long story short, on a $26 dollar bill I also left a well "proportioned" tip... $0.00. Thought I keep their theme alive. Thanks for recognizing that the client is always right Denny's. Good luck in growing your food chain. Moral of the story, stay away from Riverside Dennys, they simply don't have it right and don't know their market. So you save $9 dollars by not recognizing that your food looks nothing like what you have printed in your menus and lose hundreds in future business. Will not be returning there. Great move! Went this afternoon for lunch and waitress Delia helped our table!!! She was so great in helping out a party of 8, super attentive and did an excellent job at taking some specialized orders. I asked for a special Strawberry chocolate milkshake and she made the best one by far! Will be coming back to this location thanks to her. read more
