Worst experience... This is a very difficult review because going to this place for the last few years has always been pleasant encounters and good service. However my last visit left a lot to be desired. While the waiters/waitresses were fine the desire of sitting down and have your first meal of the day after trying to do so many leftover grocery shopping with a stomach growling the whole time was a bad combination with was a bout to happen. The ordering of your food and drink was the easy part but what made things bad was the absolute dreadful waiting. Mind you at this time of day it was around 3pm so there was a couple of customers ahead of me so I expected the wait I just didn't expect it being over 45 minutes just for pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns. During the entire time waiting I debated to leave and take my business elsewhere but being as hungry as I was and already being seated I was in no mood to leave, an example if you don't like something then leave which is what I wish I did. By the time I finally received my meal it was everything but the pancakes I really wanted. If the waiting wasn't enough my meal was terrible, the Sunnyside up eggs were completely liquid and deteriorated the minute I poked my fork through it and it wasn't even the yolk that was poked, it was like having vinegar disguised as eggs. Then the hash browns were half cooked proper and half burnt if it wasn't bad enough the sausage and bacon weren't even able to save this disaster of a wannabe breakfast as they were too small to enjoy almost they were purposely cut to reduce costs or being miniature to real thing. While I did eventually get my pancakes they were also burnt and as unsatisfied as I was I was still of course very hungry so I did eat them but was really upset at the poor excuse for a meal these days. Fortunately I did receive an apology and explanation for the waiting/poor meal which I appreciated it's why this review is at 2 stars and not 1 but I was upset that a manager with 15 years experience in the restaurant industry has absolutely no experience cooking in the kitchen. How does that happen? I have no idea, perhaps they needed someone in charge and assumed that wouldn't be an issue due to the staff they had but didn't count on when someone would call out to for the manager to then step in. I understand the complications and more when they were dealing with a large to go order but the experience of a customer should be at the very minimal adequate. After all that my meal wasn't even free to apologize but was discounted %15 which if you don't know is about $3 dollars less than the original price. Went in about 3:00 am in the morning and got sat down pretty quick. I was with a party of 5 so it was quicker than expected. When seated the server known as "Superman" did an amazing job. After taking our orders for drinks I realized this man was doing an amazing job running the whole shift on his own. Superman was helping 3-4 other tables as well as seating and running the whole front end of the restaurant alone. He was funny and super great with memory. He didn't even have to write down our order to get everything right. At the end the timing was still amazing and he was still taking car of all the other tables as well. We ordered a lot of food and he still gave up great attitude. Amazing man and amazing service. He even went as far as to sing for us and had a great voice too. This man did everything . I definitely understand why he's named "Superman", he sure is super. Needless to say I had an amazing time no doubt. read more

Denny's is standard and predictable. No real surprises and that's what you are expecting. Enjoyed a late breakfast with my son after his 8am soccer game. We lost 1,2 but such is life sometimes. Breakfast however was absolutely spot on! Exactly what he was looking for. Eggs, hash browns and bacon. He also had a chocolate chip & banana pancake. Don't tell his coach ... lol. As I said before, no surprise except in this case with our server Patrick. Patrick is new to Denny's and serving in general but you wouldn't know it based on his outgoing and attentive personality. Patrick is in his element and I'm pleased to report we are all better for it. Continue learning and growing Patrick. Thank you for making our soccer trip out to Riverside memorable. Breakfast at Denny's was excellent! The location was clean, welcoming, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly, efficient, and attentive from the moment we walked in--we were seated right away, even on a holiday, which was impressive. Every table and booth was full, yet the service never slowed down. The team handled everything smoothly, and you could tell they were working hard while still being kind and attentive to every guest. A special shoutout to our server, Miguel--he was amazing! Friendly, quick, and on top of everything. He really made the experience even better. The food was fresh, made to order, and tasted great. Denny's French toast honestly surprised me in the best way. It came out perfectly golden, soft in the middle with just the right amount of crisp on the edges. The sweetness wasn't overpowering, and once you add a little syrup and butter, it's basically breakfast perfection. I'm not saying it changed my life... but I did sit there for a second wondering if I should order a second plate. What really made the experience stand out, though, was Patricia H. She was easily the best server I've had in a while--super friendly, quick, and actually checked in at the perfect times (not the "just took a bite" moments). She made the whole vibe feel welcoming. Veronica Martinez was and is amazing!!!!! She has incredible energy that exudes JOY and positivity! This is just one thing that she did, service was amazing! She came to check the orders ensuring that they were done well and if any issues she was happy to change out. I had one of the food breakfast skillets and it was delicious! Like I typically don't come to Dennys I love food and other dennys are not the business but this place the ambiance, food, service energy everything was just ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We need more people like Veronica and more places like this dennys good vibes good food! Absolutely YES! Been to Denny's lately? We hadn't and decided to check out their new menu. I ordered from the breakfast menu (whole grain pancakes) and husband ordered chicken fried steak from the dinner menu. His meal included mashed potatoes, lots of gravy, and mixed vegetables (seasoned perfectly) and garlic toast. We left impressed with the quality of food and the superb service of our server, Patrick. He was a one-man-band handling the tables and register while being attentive, pleasant to all. The restaurant is comfortable, clean and easy to find right off the 60 Freeway. We're lucky to have this in our neighborhood. BTW - my pancakes were so good they didn't need the syrup supplied on the table. read more

Came back from my UK tour out with my band. Brought my family for a late breakfast and had beyond amazing service and great tasting food. Noelia was our server. She was extremely fast, kind, caring, and addressed us and all of our needs beyond great timing and speed. I saw her bouncing so quickly between all her tables and she never left my family or I waiting not once. She would attend us so great, I hope to get her as a server again next time and also great job to the cooks, and busser. The restaurant was also very clean and spotless. Impressed; Veronica M had gotten my order a few weeks back and let me tell you, she is attentive, accommodating, hospitable. The service Veronica M offered was that she is attentive and observant. She brought me extra napkins, ranch etc without me having to ask her. Contrast to a different local dennys I went to just recently, I had to walk up to the register so that someone can help me out with condiments, napkins, etc. Veronica M even had a box to go, bag, extra ranch, ready for me just in case I needed it, which I would... We went in early, it was quiet and just what we needed at the moment. Mom with 3 kids. They have upgraded the place since the last time I came in, it's looking nice. Our food came in promptly since we were like the only people here. We ordered the French crepes- it was delicious. The hash browns were to perfection as stated by my 8 year old and 4 year old he had mine as well. Very please with the service as always never a bad review here. I am currently in nursing school and clinicals were cancelled for a class of 10 students. We decided to have breakfast at Denny's at 7am. We know having a large group come in this early can be annoying, but Patrick, our waiter was awesome. From when we sat down, to him taking our orders, and receiving our food, he continued to give great service with a smile. He was very helpful and checked on us periodically. Not only was the food delicious, the but the service that Orena gave to us was top tier. She went above and beyond to make sure our visit was perfect. She's AMAZING!!
