I've been coming to this Denny's restaurant since I was a child, from once a year for birthdays and celebrations to out of total random, and tonight was one of those nights. Unfortunately, things didn't end so well. Now we arrived there at about 12:05 in the morning for a quick late-night smoothie and snack. We were greeted by a very kind woman who immediately sat us down. After about two minutes, we knew what we wanted. She cleaned up a different table, then came to take our order. After it was fully done, she brought us our food within a few more minutes (We had ordered two smoothies, a hot coco, and the mini sampler). Five minutes later, we were finished and waiting for our bill. As a waitress, I can easily understand maybe over-waiting a few minutes to let people eat before checking up on them. HOWEVER, there's a difference between a few minutes, and near a half and hour. She didn't check back up on us again, which kind of dissapointed me, and pissed off my siblings. My sister and I decided to go to the crane machine that they had while we waited to receive our bill (her boyfriend was willing to stay at the table if she happened to come back), and we saw our waitress on her phone while eating in the bar area. We then went up to front desk and paid for our meal and left, leaving no tip. For anyone in the food service industry, it's the solid basis of giving great service to believe that the CUSTOMER is ALWAYS right. If you need a break, let someone else know so they can take care of the table. That, or make your break shorter so this kind of thing doesn't happen often. Tonight may have been pretty poor service, but most other times that we've gone have been fantastic. Normally, the servers are great with timing and checking back up on people. Not too mention that their food is VERY good, even their famous Maple Bacon Milkshakes! I hope that it's just the ONE waitress there that was being neglectful, and I can't wait to come back for their milkshakes, yum! read more

Deja vu all over again. Walking into this Denny's, I could have sworn I was in Renton. The layout was exactly the same and the sweet motherly waitress seemed oddly familiar, as did the hunger I was feeling. Of course, the menu was the same as all other Denny's, and the Two Egg Breakfast with egg beaters, hashbrowns, and an English muffin was just what I needed. Sadly, my tummy hurt so I couldn't really stomach the eggs, but on the whole I walked out of there feeling much better. read more

I am upping it to a 3 a balance from the 2 other times. Today was superb - a smile, a newspaper, an unstressed experienced waitress.. I alluded to prior experiences and she wanted to make it right.. but I was too much into the present to prolong the agony. We were promptly seated when we entered the restaurant today at about 12:20. Not busy. After about 15 minutes having no server approach us and ask for drinks and seeing a smaller family of three wait for about 10 minutes we decided to leave. No one noticed us leave. It's too bad because we're a family of seven. Would have been a good bill and tip. read more

Richland Denny's has been a friendly and reliable restaurant for us for years. The manager is always helpful and has a good staff a regular waiters. We can count on a good breakfast anytime here, from omelettes to steaks to regular scrambles. I usually crave a turkey club from here every few weeks, love it! We also appreciate the decent drink specials the usually have up on the board. The remodel is also a nice perk! read more

Never again! In general, I'm an antidisestablishment type person concerning corporate food- and even more so in recent times as I learn how much garbage we are being fed in slick well-marketed packages portending to be food. We had a $8+ nacho, it had a nasty non-cheese slime on the bleached slightly rancid chips. And this was under the brown gloppy who knows what substance. It was terrible non-food nastiness. On the other hand our server was efficient, pleasant, and quit capable. I eat to nourish my body, not pad your pockets Denny's. read more

Would not recommend if you are pressed for time. Customer service was not great and waiters were impolite. We arrived over an hour ago and still have no food. The group next to us got here 15 minutes after are already done with their food and we still have yet to be served. The food is okay but otherwise not recommended. We had other plans for the day, but we spent so long waiting for our food that we had to cancel. Very disappointing. read more

I will admit, when my friend Jenn suggested Denny's, I was skeptical. I imagined broken families in a run down dirty restaurant. What I found was anything but that. Inside I was in shock at how nice everything was. I hadn't been in years and it is fantastic. Their lounge is amazing, most friendly staff in town with prices that make you think it's 1995 again! Food is also so great! I will definitely be becoming a regular here now. My only disappointment is that I spent the last 5 years not realizing the amazing gem we had here! read more

I don't understand why people dislike the server Derrick and why they don't want to sit in his section, the last time I was at this particular Denny's I had Denny as my server and was happy with Derrick's service and thought he was a nice, laid back guy, when I saw someone posting negative things about Derrick it made me feel sorry for him, while the food may not be top notch but it is good for what it is and I also think you get good sized portions of food for your money. read more

After a burn-out day in the NICU and way too much going on we spent Easter dinner at this Denny's. Our server was this BIG black guy (sorry, PC people) who was literally the nicest and friendliest I've ever had. He got drinks out for the kids fast and got them crayons and even caught one squirrel who was trying to sneak out between legs. The food was slow, but it was good and hot and this server kept our glasses full until my slowest munchkin finally finished his single pancake. This experience was fantastic. read more

No stars always bad service. Almost seems like the servers dont wanna work. Thought id give it a try as an alternative to sharis.

First of all, the Sunday morning staff is beyond rude. Second of all, ordering to go obviously isn't their strong suit. My sibling ordered two breakfasts to go, one pancakes w eggs and all, second biscuits and gravy. We get home pancake breakfast is missing. I go back, the ladies in the front try to give me pancakes only, I let them know I have eggs sunnyside up, and bacon that comes with it. "It wasn't on the ticket" but you asked me how I wanted my eggs cooked when I called? The lady says "whatever it's fine" goes in the back, and two seconds later brings up a plate of bacon and scrambled eggs. I get home and I can tell they are literally off someone else's plate. Eggs are cold, bacon is broken up and seems to have bite marks on some ends. F*cking ridiculous. Wish I could've given 0 stars. read more

My daughter and I stopped to have lunch. Order took a little longer than expected. We ordered the steak cob salad. Which we sent back because the meat was overcooked salty jerky. Waitress was trying to be pleasant., but was annoyed. The sandwich we ordered is pot roast. We've had it before and it was delicious. This time 3/4 of it was fat. Big thick Greasy fat. Our waitress was not happy and got manager, who didn't even try to hide her annoyance. As she explained they pre-bag their pot roast. And all bags are fatty. She was going to discount when all I wanted was to eat lunch. Since I had 2 bites of salad, 2 bites of sandwich and 3 onion rings. After I pointed out I came for food she offered to get me a new sandwich for full price. Which was pretty good after another 15 minute wait. They were glad to see us go and I won't be returning anytime soon. read more

alert! denny's is now charging .99 each for things that used to come with the meal. i got a a small portion of peanut butter for my hotcakes, one small side of salsa, one small side of sour cream...all for .99 each. it would have been better if they had warned us ahead of time. denny's is slipping... read more

VERY POOR customer service. Usually had a good experience here, but today I had a black server that approached me VERY rude, did not say hello and told me to take my water bottle back into my car immediately as he walked by and dropped food at another table. If he would of approached me differently and informed me instead of attacking me I wouldn't be upset. Did not feel respected as customer that comes here often. I will NOT come back here again. read more

So disappointed. Went here tonight and when I got my bill there was a 10$ "open food" charge. When I questioned it there was no explanation. This review is not about the food. It's Denny's. The food you get is exactly what you'd expect- cheap, fast, and mediocre- no more, no less. Instead, I would like to appreciate the excellent staff; always friendly, polite, hardworking and attentive. The manager is especially warming and welcoming. Out of all the cheap chain restaurants available in Richland, Denny's is always my go-to thanks to the excellent, stand-out service.. I've dined out at this particular establishment hundreds of times and have always felt welcomed. Warm regards to the staff. read more

Used to really love coming here and bringing friends along but the very recent management change is seeming to affect the restaurant. Our bartender was awesome thankfully, since we decided to sit in the bar after being sat in a section in the back where the "GM" was serving, probably due to understaffing, but understandable, no problem. We had her wait on us before and had a bad experience, so we headed for the bar because we knew we liked the bartender who was very attentive and fun. Still, The "GM" and I use that term Very loosely, was around during our time there. She seemed very green and unprofessional with how she was talking with her staff, almost childish. We could here her talking down to her staff about shift changes of all things from in the back and it did seem like she is new to management or managing people. I liked our service but still have a feeling that this location will only go downhill from here if this continues. We have went here since I was back in high school, and have never had a bad serving or food experience. Hate to give a bad score for one individual, but when it's a GM, I believe it represents the restaurant. read more

Went to Denny's on 03/27/13 about 10:30 - so it was not the rush hour. Ordered the Cheese Steak Omelette - received the omelette with no cheese. It was taken back to the kitchen and they put a slice of cheese on top of the omelette and into the microwave and back to me. The omelette was kind of dry - I think it should have been inside of the omelette. I've tasted better omelette's. read more
