Well my wife and I recently moved to Sherrill NY.We noticed there was a DENNY'S in the plaza. It is a dinner design and we thought it would be interesting to check it out.i was curious about the menu looked it up and saw a lot of negative reviews.Well we chose to not let that deter Us from going.Very glad we did. To debunk a lot that is written here , first of all it was clean, and not tired. The hostess was smiling , and quick.Our waitress Amber was cheerful and took care of us right away.It was very busy and where we sat the cooks were working on over drive. We had the California club. It came at a reasonable time, well made fresh, and came with properly cooked fries, that were hot.i have no idea if the other reviewers got their opinions from but again, Yelp seems to have a lot of haters in general. we were very please, And BTW, one more thing, I checked out the restroom, clean, no smells. read more

Terrible the food pancakes were still goobby my moms hash browns were still frozen my sisters hash browns were burnt my tenders were salty and burnt we had to wait for a super long time as people who came after us got their food and the manger was fireing people left and right but the waitress was amazing and super kind. read more

Great food as always. You can get get breakfast at any hour of any day. However, this location has seen it's better days. The building inside and out is a dump. I ordered a T- bone steak rare..eggs over medium..home fries with cheese and toast..the damn meal cost $25.00..I couldn't eat anything..the T-bone is dry..the eggs are over hard..the home fries are mushy and burnt..I don't know how that's even possible..they forgot my bourbon sauce that I asked for..the only edible item was the Coca Cola and toast..not happy..really not happy..at least the garbage disposal got to eat...don't go to Dennys in Oneida...this BS happens way to much..and for what the food costs..you shouldn't have to deal with hits and misses..and this was a total MiSS!!!! read more

Dennys for "free" Veterans breakfast. Bill was $49. plus for the four of us with a 20% total discount. Never again! Charged almost $4 for toast for anyone that had it. Never mentioned it was extra. One egg delivered fell off plate on the tray. Asked her to bring one to replace it. They f'ing charged $4 for that egg! Wish I had a copy of the bill to post. It was BS. I don't know what has happened here but they have gone downhill over the past several months. I know they have new cooks in the kitchen but the food has not gotten better. Today's visit was no exception. I ordered chicken fried steak with wavy fries and fried zucchini. The french fries and the zucchini look good and normal. Even the chicken fried steak looked good. Granted, anyone could drop chicken fried steak and french fries in a fryer and it turned out good. The kicker is the gravy. The gravy will make it or break it. In this case it broke it. As you can see in the photos, this is not what anyone I know would call gravy. White flour water. Very runny. Just a tad thicker than water. So I tasted it just to see if it did taste good, and I would eat it anyway. It was over powering with flour. Seriously. Just warm flour water. Once again, poor quality of service from the Oneida Dennys. Ordered steak and eggs. As you can see from the photos, the steak is raw, not the medium rare requested. Completely failed to provide the toast order as well as the 2 extra bacon orders. I went to dennys about a week ago the food and service were good it was quiet and not crowded at all. So I ordered door dash from them today and my club sandwich was not made right and the sandwich was sad looking, and about a hand full of fries, the stuffed French toast was soggy and not that good , the sausage gravy on the biscuits was disgusting it didn't even taste like sausage, I ordered the pancake puppies and they usually have cinnamon and sugar on them but none this time , my boyfriend ordered the double cheeseburger it was good but he had maybe 6 onion rings needless to say we were very disappointed this time . read more

Curbside delivery- I would skip it Food was good when I finally got it I followed the instructions and called when I arrived and was told 1 min and they would bring it out - after @ 2 mins a takeout bag appeared on the counter and sat there for 15 minutes from my call Since I didn't want cold food I went in to get a refund and was refused a refund _ my choices were I could take cold food ,wait till the cooks made a new dinner or they would take my name and I would have to come back during day shift to get a refund (1/2 hour drive). We went here for my cousins 16th birthday breakfast and we got sat at a table with crumbs all over the seats and there were so many flies and I could only concentrate on that... our server was good and he was like the only server there that doesn't have a attitude....when we got our food was what was the word oh yea subpar... it was something that you would eat when your like literally on a bridge of dying and need food... so moral of the story go there if it's your last option read more

While the food is usually good (there have been a few misses) and the place is conveniently open 24-7, it could definitely use a solid wipe down. I appreciate that after a swing shift, there is someplace to go and have a meal cooked for me. I usually do breakfast here but there are always different people working so you can't expect that it will be as decent as the last time you were visiting. For a while, my flatmate and I would see the same two ladies (1 on the grill, 1 handling customers) and we had built an almost rapport with them. The cook (whose name I forget now, as this was two years ago) was consistent and the food was always good. If you had an issue, she had no problem taking your plate back, fixing it for you, and then cracking a self-deprecating joke. Keep in mind, this was around 3-4 am and we were usually the only customers sitting. Nowadays, I could not speak for the quality of the food or service because it varies with the staffing. Forewarning, if you try something that is meant to have a dessert-like spin, it will usually be sickeningly sweet. They are over-generous with toppings and portions, which you will either love/appreciate or you will not. For the price, you get about two meals per plate so, it is a steal and you can always take home what's left over. Pancakes are usually good, and you get a lot of food with it. Waffles are sometimes good but can be more soft than crispy (I prefer crispy). I have also tried the newer crepes - the texture can get funky on a to-go order and the toppings can be cloying. You really can't go wrong with the simplicity of eggs and a side or two. I like how they offer egg whites and turkey bacon because you don't always get those options at the local diners. Occasionally, we have picked up our orders to go and that is convenient as well. Depending on what you get, it might be worth enjoying in the comfort of your own home (if it is not made soggy by the condensation in the travel plates), as the fly problem has become almost unbearable. It used to be a minor annoyance, you could swat away the occasional fly or two. Now, it's like you're racing to eat your food before the infestation gets to it; they're like pigeons in a park and they do not fear you. If that is the status of the front of house, I cringe at what might be happening in the back. I will say that some of their food has been better than other local, family-owned cafes and diners but, it's up to the customer if they're willing to battle the flies. read more

This place couldn't be worse. They have the restaurant only half capacity and at least 12-13 people working with half of them standing around while the cook yells about everything and my order was wrong and burnt so to compensate the gave me the side that should've came with the meal in the first place. If your in the Oneida area this is the last place you want to go, they took 15 minutes to get us toast, they gave my cousin the nastiest grapes, got my cousins order wrong and they burnt my moms pancakes. Fantastic place to eat. They are very clean we observed the staff cleaning properly after guest left.. they did not do it quick took few mins for each spot. The manager is amazing keeps a great restaurant . And our server Bethany was our server and she was fantastic like a family meme we waiting on u. Don't hesitate to eat here. I know we have to take Denny's with a grain of salt. It's exactly what it is. The lowest restaurant option. Yea we all go to Denny's because.... well... probably because it's always open. And that's great for our convenience. It's also cheaper than other restaurant's, but it's not as inexpensive as it used to be. Anyways, I do like Denny's in general. Can't really go wrong with breakfast food. However, I think the Oneida one is the worst one I've ever been to. Not so much the food, but the employee's are just... very unprofessional. Or at least the ones working nights. I've heard them arguing with each very loudly, cursing etc. I've seen waitresses just stand together and chat for 15 minutes. Which isn't a big deal, but they should try not to do that in front of the customers. I've even seen workers kiss their bf's/gf's etc right up at the bar/grill area where they pick up the plates the cooks put out. Which again, isn't a huge deal just seems like something you shouldn't do in front of all the customers. ON top of that, when we used to live out there it was a running joke that something was always going to be out if we went. And it seemed like it was whatever we wanted that night lol. They were unable to make milkshakes about 60% of the time. They also hated when you asked for one. I was sitting at the little bar thing right there once and asked for a milkshake. Then overheard two waitresses at the machine complaining about customers asking for milkshakes! Just had plenty of poor visits there. But then again, there's almost nothing in Oneida for sit down eating that's not fast food. So good luck finding something else. read more

I love Denny's and I've been going here for years but the incompetence has been getting worse at this location, every time we have gone since they semi opened back up, we have gotten a completely wrong salad, things are left out of my lumber jack slam, my hash browns are never cooked and now I find out they don't even serve waffles anymore?! Cameron Stewart is by far the most unprofessional, sociopathic power happy manager I've ever witnessed in my life. I had a remake on an omelet because the first time they put peppers on it, I called ahead to ordered (biggest mistake of my life) and told the very young, inexperienced server that I had a "remake" and proceeded with the order and she said ok, and then gave me a total?! I knew then this was going to be a real hoot!.. I shouldn't have had a total?! I said T-W-I-C-E ((RE-MAKE)) I go in 20 minutes later to get my food and it's sitting at the counter, meanwhile the manager is sitting in the meeting room giving interviews.. the young brunette asked me to wait until he was done I said I can't, I'm sorry I'm on a lunch break and I don't really enjoy cold food. And she said well, he's the only one than can do this order and I explained to her that's why I gave you full information on the phone! She rolled her eyes and cashed other people out.. a few more minutes go by and yes I was a little more impatient and why would I be?! I sat in a booth by myself for an hour waiting to order. When the food got here, one of my pancakes were burnt. The waiters simply ignore some people and don't care for seating, don't come in a large party unless you want to be cramped into a booth. The food ends up burnt most of the time also. read more
