I am now a loyal fan of Texas Roadhouse lol. I don't know why it took me so many years to try it. I was visiting Syracuse, and was happy to know that they had a Texas Roadhouse close by. Upon arrival it was crowded, but the line for seating moved fast. Of course, they kept their famous cinnamon butter rolls coming. I also had a free appetizer coupon, that I used and ordered the ribs with mash. It was so good. I also got their pomegranate margarita. It's $5 all day and $0.50 extra to add flavor, It was also very good. And finally I ordered the porterhouse to go and that was phenomenal. Of course the food pricing is slightly different than the city, it was a bit cheaper here. Good food, good company. It was a great time. I will definitely return. read more

I do takeout here at least once a week after pickleball at Erie Canal Pickleball because I'm usually starving and need protein. I order ahead on their app and the food is consistently cooked to order correctly and ready on time. The staff are always friendly and accommodating with plasticware, peanuts or sauces to go. Took my friend here for her very first time (and mine in quiet a while). First off, all the staff we talked with were so friendly and nice. We even got a little treat for it being my friends first time! We shared a few items and everything was as I remember as a kid (minus the floor covered in peanut shells). Our cactus blossom was tasty, if anything a bit oily but hey it's a deep fried onion. The shrimp skewers were a surprise favorite of the night, cooked perfect and nicely seasoned. We shared a 6oz steak (cooked as ordered) and a loaded regular and sweet potato. The loaded sweet potato was SWEET , could be a dessert but we'd both get it again. The regular potato was a bit dry and soooo salty, we still managed to eat the whole thing though. Ribs were standard ribs tender enough to come off the bone easily. We each ordered mocktails which we expected to be sweet but they were a bit syrupy for our taste. She really enjoyed the classic, perhaps slightly over the top decor of Texas roadhouse. I ordered a 16 oz. Prime rib at the Syracuse Texas Roadhouse. There was no sear on it at all yet even though I ordered medium rare, it was barely pink inside. I swear that steak had been microwaved. It was incredibly tough with no seasoning. My sweet potato had so much brown sugar on it, I couldn't eat it. The only thing that was good was the bloomin onion was good. Three of us went to this location at 5:45, to beat the evening supper rush. We were seated promptly, and shortly thereafter greeted by our waiter. We placed our drink orders, then placed our dinner and appetizer orders when the drinks arrived. The restaurant was at 75% capacity or thereabouts. While waiting for our food, there was a couple of birthdays announced, with people sitting on their "horse". Our fried pickle appetizer was delivered, and was decent. Unfortunately, our waiter went MIA for quite a while. When he finally did return, he said "Sorry folks, the kitchen got slammed, so it's going to be a little while." In total, it was about 45 minutes from the time we placed the order, until we finally received our food. By that time, we were 3/4 full from eating the fried pickles and dinner rolls. My wife hardly touched her dinner. When the waiter returned, he jokingly said "What's the matter, did the long wait ruin your appetite?" To which I responded YES..... Wow, what an amazing experience -- if you enjoy being ignored. I showed up at 8:45 PM, clearly hoping for a peaceful dinner. Silly me. I waited over 20 minutes, asked twice when I'd be seated, and somehow watched other people stroll right in and get seated immediately -- must've had VIP passes I wasn't aware of. When I asked again, I was lucky enough to be met with a lovely dose of attitude from Erika, who informed me (with all the warmth of a brick wall) that they were "waiting for a table to be cleaned." Fascinating, since I counted at least three clean tables just sitting there... maybe they were invisible? And just when I thought it couldn't get better, I was told (in the nicest possible rude tone) that they close at 9:30 -- you know, to remind me that my presence was a major inconvenience. Place was very loud. Waitress was pleasant but seemed very rushed and overwhelmed. My steak was thinnest ribeye I have ever seen. My friend medium rare steak was totally overcooked and had no pink in it at all. When waitress was told she said sorry and walked away. Vegetables, mashed potatoes and grilled shrimp were cold. Must have been sitting for awhile before being served . My wife said her chicken dish and Margarita was very good . If waitress would have checked back after food was served maybe we could have gotten warm food. We have been to this restaurant several times before and have had a decent warm meal. First thing i noticed It was hot, at least 80 degrees; Employee acknowledged it but didn't say there was anything being done about it But my guess was they weren't used to 55ﾟ days at the end of November so their air conditioning unit(s) had probably been Shut down for the Winter. We arrived around 5 pm so it was busy but not packed. My wife ordered a 16oz sirloin and I ordered a 12oz. NY Strip. When our food arrived hers looked exactly like a NY Strip and mine looked like a overcooked piece of cube steak. We asked the waitress if these were correct and she didn't know the difference between steak and chicken. So she says she will get the manager. He comes over and asks what the problem is. When we told him what we ordered he looks at the cuts and says "yep, that's what they are". When we left, we looked at the cuts in the cases at the front, and the cuts have knives with the cut labeled. Our steaks looked nothing like the NY Strips or Sirloin in that case. Me and my family went here for dinner last night and I will say it wasn't horrible but it wasn't great either. I ordered the prime ribeye and asked for it to be medium rare and it was much less than that. It wasn't evenly cook either. So while one end of the steak was close to medium rare the other side was not. My son got ribs and a steak medium rare. His food was perfect! The ribs were great! My wife ordered the smoke house burger that liked very much! The waitress was very polite and nice! She helped us a few different times with problems we had. Solid Texas Roadhouse visit as usual while visiting for work. I nabbed the chicken critter salad and all was good with the salad, tons of toppings and the fried chicken strips were cooked perfectly. We went here on 5/26 to celebrate a birthday and a celebration it was not - unfortunately. Once we were seated we waited about 10 minutes to get a drink order in. We were given some rolls but no plates or utensils. More rolls showed up before out drinks, water, or any server to take our order. Then our salads came out and at about the hour and fifteen mark, we had still not seen our server since out drink order. We had placed our dinner order with a food runner. Between talking to the management and leaving, our server appeared with the check with all items listed. I was able to go there and get a voucher for a free meal being a veteran. I went on a Monday Night, got there right as they opened, seated quick, Jessica was the server and she was very nice. I like to show the voucher ahead of time, this will determine my level of tipped service. Jessica was on top of it all, fresh soda before I even ran out, just very friendly. My only complaint, and the reason for 4 out of 5 is that I ordered the 6oz sirloin, with a house salad and a loaded sweet potato. They're apparently known for their margaritas as well as steaks and it was up to par. The pickles were yummy as well with homemade ranch dipping sauce.
