My sister and I just picked up a copy of our father's death certificate and we're feeling sad and spoke of how much we miss him we decided to go have breakfast because dad enjoyed going out to eat so we saw this Dennys in Norwalk that is just up the street. We walk in feeling sad from the moment my sister & I walked in we were greeted with a smile, but the real one that change our mood was our waitress Angelica, was AWESOME she was nice, attentive and made sure we had everything we needed to make our breakfast great. By the time we left we in good spirits and thought there are still nice good friendly people out there. Her name fits her perfectly because she is an Earthly Angel. Came in at 1:15pm and got seated right away. We waited almost 20 minutes before we were acknowledged by the waitress. The restaurant was not busy for us to be ignored and passed on the way we were. Someone could have at least provided us with something to drink. The poor gentleman behind us kept getting ignored as well. Worse time ever we just got up and left. Decent sized parking lot. Spent over 17 dollars for onion rings, slamburger, and Nashville hot sauce. The rings were slightly crispy. Good onions with a nice bite to it. My medium egg was perfect. Me and my annoying ass group of at least 20 people (more when different teams come in), come in at least once every week to eat and cecy is there and she's just so welcoming and kind. Like you don't get that on a normal basis especially when it's late, she's so kind to us and she always treats us like her children. She's always so interested in us and how our dance team is doing. Seriously I wish we could give half of stars!!. Service at the Norwalk store is garbage. I would of been better off typing in my own order, cooking it and bringing it to my table. there are zero service standards at this place It's Friday night, 6pm and the place is nearly empty literally 6 tables in the house and two servers and a manager. I swear, it had to been my servers first day or she was lit. Server forgot to bring me drinks, half of my meal, napkins, side sauces I mean the entire start to finish was bad. My dish came with two sides and a bread choice and I ordered a side salad which I never received and yet I was charged separately for the bread and side salad. I ordered a steak medium and it was cooked rare, mash potatoes were cold, corn taste like it came from a can. My sons cheeseburger was burnt and over cooked, his bread was hard and stale. My steak was cooked on a flat top with weight on top of it, you can see the burnt marks on it. I understand it's dennys, and not Applebees or the Outback, but the bad food, shitty service and over all experience isn't worth dining here. Save your money and go elsewhere! read more

Our favorite place in Norwalk these days is Denny's! We started coming in for their bogo for $1 grandslam! Now, that my favorite Loaded Breakfast Sandwich is back and for under $10 too! Our waitress America was awesome! She suggested a roasted jalapeño and she was able to switch out my hash browns for fries! Oh oh and a side stack of pancakes for $2! What a great deal! I always come to this denny's for birthdays or for special holidays with my family and always have a good experience dining inside. For Father's Day my dad wanted Denny's for breakfast and it was going to be my treat because I just got my first job and wanted to treat him for father's day. However because of what was happening with immigration we were unable to dine at the restaurant so we ordered through the app for pick up. When we got home and checked the food I was so frustrated to see that they had forgotten one of the plates I ordered AND they got all the orders wrong AND they did not give me the 4 ranches I PAID for AND one of the ranches they did give me was SPOILED. Also It was truly unbelievable how little fries and scrambled eggs they gave us with our plates (eggs were supposed to be fried). Like not only did they give us our eggs wrong but they also just gave us scraps. It truly looked like they just scooped little of whatever was left and threw it into our plates, like something you would give to your dog. The app said the food would be ready in 20 minutes but when I got there I was told it wasn't ready. Another 20 pass by and I ask and turns out the food had been ready and it was just sitting there so when I got home the food was also cold. The waiters always pressure me to write a good review about the diner and about them but then give me horrible service like this. I've never experienced such poor service like this ordering online and also frustrating spending my hard worked money for expensive shit service. Most importantly I wasn't able to give my amazing dad the good breakfast that he was hoping for. This happened 2 weeks ago on father's day and its still frustrating to think about and I definitely won't be going back there and don't recommend. read more
