I do remember seeing a post about vermin earlier this year at this Polly's pie location . We will still visit the other locations although they are further from us. But my son and I are pretty traumatized after how sick we got and unfortunately won't be visiting this Polly's pie again.

I want to take a moment to recognize the amazing service we received at Denny's Montebello this past Saturday night. We came in with a large party of 20 people, which I know is not always easy for restaurants to handle, but the staff here went above and beyond to make our experience smooth and enjoyable. From the moment we walked in, the team was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. Even though we requested to be seated together, which can be a challenge with such a large group, they didn't hesitate at all. They quickly rearranged tables and made sure that everyone in our party could sit comfortably. The effort and teamwork it took to make that happen did not go unnoticed, and we truly appreciated it. Our servers were attentive throughout the entire evening, checking in on us regularly, making sure drinks were always filled, and ensuring everyone had what they needed. Despite how busy it was and how large our group was, they managed to keep everything organized and efficient. Food came out quickly, orders were correct, and everything was served with a positive attitude and a smile. What really stood out was the patience and professionalism of the staff. Large parties can sometimes feel overwhelming, but they made us feel welcomed instead of like an inconvenience. Everyone in our group commented on how great the service was, and it made our night so much better. After a fantastic Dodger victory last night, we were thrilled to grab a late-night meal at Dennys in Montebello off Wilcox-Via Campo before our hour ride home which was conveniently located off the 60 Freeway. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, taking care of us with a smile throughout our entire meal. Mariah was so accommodating and friendly, it truly made our night. I came back to this Denny's location after receiving great and quick service. As is at any Denny's location, the food was great, but what puts Montebello on top of other locations is their service. We arrived at peak brunch time around 11 am. My family got sat down pretty quickly with server Michelle. Given that it was busy, we didn't expect too much one-on-one patience and service like other restaurants, but Denny's Montebello continues to surprise me. This place had everyone running around like a well-oiled machine serving guests. Despite the hectic atmosphere, Michelle took time to answer questions about our meals as well as check up on us for any other requests. At the end, she made sure that we were satisfied and ready to close our bill before handing it to us and when she did, she made sure to not rush us. Thank you Michelle for your hospitality!!! However, towards the end, I was unexpectedly handed a card and asked to scan it to leave a Yelp review. A few minutes later, the server came back to check if I had written the review and even asked if I had given them five stars. This felt a bit intrusive and pressured, which took away from an otherwise pleasant dining experience. Delicious food and THE CUSTOMER SERVICE was even better! My mom and i were honestly blown away by how great the service was. We came in at 9am on a Friday morning. The place was packed!! And still they managed to sit everyone right away. The whole time i ate no one waited too long. My husband and I ordered the following: Large Mongolian Stir Fry Noodles with Beef Meal = $21.99 - Gone are the days where you can just DIY your own bowl of Mongolian bbq. Now, you have to order your toppings behind the counter. They offer chicken, pork, lean beef, beef belly, and shrimp as the protein. You can prob ask for as many meat types as you want, but they do weigh it. We got half lean beef and beef belly. The bowl for the large is not that big, so if you like a lot of toppings, expect it to be super small grabs of each. My fave part of Mongolian bbq are the noodles but there wasn't much at all, which I was pretty bummed about. I ended up eating most of the veggies and just letting my husband eat the noodles. The flavor was good, had enough flavor, and didn't feel overly greasy. My husband said it was missing that deep fire/wok flavor but I still enjoyed it. Meal Combo Soda + small bowl of udon = $5.99 - We got coke for the soda. Just note no free refills. Refills are $1. - I enjoyed the udon, which is just instant mix. My husband didn't care for it, but I like that flavor. Total = $27.98 (excluding tax) as of March 2025, definitely on the pricey side Customer Service: They're not the most warm and fuzzy service - the whole thing from start to finish kind of feels like an assembly line. They also don't really pack your toppings. I asked for mushrooms twice and the guy just pointed to my bowl and gave me a look. My husband actually wanted more mushrooms so oh well... Overall, although my experience wasn't 100%, it still satisfied my craving lol. I just wish there were more Mongolian bbq-type restaurants around!

I always try to be polite and respectful when placing my order. My only request is usually that my French fries be cooked lightly. Quite often, the fries aren't prepared as requested, so I have to hand the order back to have it corrected. Mistakes happen, and I completely understand that. What I find disappointing is the reaction I receive when I ask for the correction. I've been met with eye-rolling, blank stares, or employees loudly repeating my request to coworkers in a way that feels dismissive or mocking. Today's visit was another example, and it finally prompted me to leave a review. I don't believe my request is unreasonable, and I always ask with a smile, remain courteous, and thank the staff when they bring me the corrected order. I understand that many of these employees are young and still gaining experience in customer service. However, treating customers with courtesy and respect is an important part of the job. I hope management will use this feedback as an opportunity to coach the team, because I'd like to continue visiting this location, but the repeated negative interactions have become discouraging.
