Dennys is a solid option for breakfast in the middletown area. The prices are great plus they usally have a 5 off 20 or 20% off coupon. Is the food the best quality by no means. But the service is fast and friendly. The 8 dollar value menu slam is a great deal cause it comes with soda. I would reccomened going early on sat or sun mornings cause it can get very busy there. read more

There is nothing especially great about this Dennys. It's close to my location, and a go to diner for me. It's Denny's. I don't know what people would be expecting...I must say though, I do enjoy their food. Hence, why I have gone so often. However, writing a review for Denny's is kind of strange just like writing a review for any chain restaurant. It's not going to have exciting an unique flavors. Listen, I love Denny's. But tonight really gave me a bad taste for them. So my husband ordered food for me him and our son and after sitting on hold for 11 minutes, the woman answered the phone and said "oh sorry, I forgot about you" and laughed. Ok. Annoying. But also understand cause maybe it was busy. So my husband gives the order and she says 30 mins. So he goes to pick up and when he comes home with it, the food order was correct except they forgot a sauce. But we also ordered desert. My son got a Jr VANILLA milkshake and we also got a chocolate lava cake to share. We ended up with half a cup of STRAWBERRY milkshake, which my son would not drink. And for the lava cake, we didn't even get cake, we got vanilla ice cream. That's it. Like really?? It's frustrating when u spend money on food you didn't even order or get only part of your order correct. Lately the last few times we have ordered Denny's they have messed something up and it's to the point where it's not even worth ordering pick up anymore. Disappointed to say the least. read more

Absolutely horrible waiting time! It toke way to long, (about 20 minutes) to get my food, AND at least 2 times the people who came after us got their food before. If you're patient enough to wait for decently good food, then go. But I don't recommend it. :( read more

Okay, walking in to a diner, which was busy at 1300. Not a bad sign normally. Asked for utensils waited 10-15 minutes for them... before receiving my utensils I got my appetizer. Which I could not indulge on, hot and fresh out of the kitchen because I was still waiting on utensils. Putting the utensils to rest. We received our main course this course being a Meat Lovers Omelette for me and 2 pancakes which were burnt on the bottom for my vegetarian Girlfriend. My omelette however was to die for. I ordered it as a Ham and Cheese Omelette and added Bacon and Sausage to it. It was Presented to me as if the Bacon and Sausage was on top and not inside. But after biting into and finding many more chucks of meats inside it was EPIC. The omelette was fulfilling and I enjoyed every bite. We got a free desert because of the pancakes were not being up to par, so all in all maybe a bad time due to a shift change, maybe because they were busy. Writing on behalf of my Internet illiterate elderly father who is 69 years old. He's been going to this dennys for a little over 10 years ! The cooks know him, and what's shocking is the owner Sam has known him the entire time he's been a loyal customer to him. The owner Sam recently came at my father yelling at him, making a scene , all due to his waiter mis communicating how my father actually acted once he got his incorrect meal. He simply set it to the side and asked for it correct. Within minutes same came scolding my father saying he won't be welcomed in his restaurant. This was obviously completely uncalled for, my only reasoning for why this happened is to assume Sam had a really rough night and unfortunately took it out at an easy target, my father. No apology has been given and we won't be going there ever again. The diner has a lot fresher foods, better and more efficient service, cleaner facilities, and you certainly get more for your $ in there. This dennys will most likely be shut down soon. read more

Stopped by the other day for a breakfast. Prices have changed along with dish combinations. NOTHING SAYS LOVING like a $4 plate of 2 perfectly cooked eggs, 2 strips of perfect bacon, and 2 heaping pancakes. I took three bites of the pancakes and was instantly stuffed! Their coffee, although plentiful, very strong but not HOT enough. I added three tiny half & halves, and the coffee was now cold. That never used to happen. Disappointed, And the coffee is $2. Breakfast then is equal to the charge EVERYWHERE else in this area. Some get the coffee right but the plated items not so right. One can be assured at this Denny's to get an old fashioned breakfast here. I would have liked it if I were allowed to substitute a toast for the pancakes, but they insisted I could not. This would've been cheaper for them, actually, but I understand if they have set rules so as not to confuse the kitchen. The staff are almost all very kind. As close to attending a bible school cantina as one can get. Check them out. All's well in their section of Middletown. read more
