Alright well seems like this location is lacking "Leadership". Small things: No Orange juice, asked for napkins, ice cup, and Chulula more than twice. This time I'm not going to drop it on the servers. Owner/Manager (Wearing going out shirt and jeans) was "disciplining/coaching" very aggressively one of the Hostesses, Brianna, in the FOH, you need to go to the BOH. Amber was great, nice to see a familiar face. I think is also great that Alfredo is bilingual. I have so much to say on this new location and how things are being ran on the inside. I would love to drop some good motivation and teamwork in here. If they keep up this same type of long service and missing simple items from the menu, like orange juice this will turn to a "passer by" location and not a "local spot" for breakfast. Absolutely the worst Oreo milkshake ever. There was definitely zero effort put into making my shake. Half of my drink was whip cream that I removed which you can see in the photo. And then it doesn't even taste like they used the usual ingredients but instead a chocolate base. My wife is pregnant and was really looking forward to this. Super disappointed in the half ass effort. I went back inside to let them know it wasn't what I ordered and the young lady working up front told me they didn't have vanilla so they simply made it with chocolate. And I asked why didn't they bother to let us know and she said their online site doesn't update. So why do we even bother putting an email & phone number if it's going to be ignored? I have never gotten up and walked out of a restaurant until today. They were out of practically everything. We were there an hour and still did not get our food. My 2 y/o daughter however, did get her chicken nugget kids meal. All three items we ordered for her substituted. Regular chicken nuggets instead of dinosaur chicken nuggets (luckily my two-year-old did not notice because we told her she would get Dino nuggets ) we ordered grapes for the side after about 15 minutes the lady came back and said she couldn't find any grapes and offered us cantaloupe. We wanted apple juice but they don't have apple juice so we got lemonade that was extremely sweet. I went there hoping to get a cheeseburger and fries. But they were out of fries. So I settled on a chicken wrap with a Caesar salad. 30 minutes or so after ordering the waitress said the food will be out shortly and they were also out of salad. At that point we realized our experience has no chance of getting any better and we left. We offered to pay for my daughters meal as that was the only thing that came out. Of course they had no problem charging us for that! This was my first and probably last visit ever to the Maricopa Denny's. Wasted over an hour and $5. read more

I cannot say enough great things about Our Denny's in Maricopa. Always get a booth as I request and there are 3 Waiters and waitress I always get, each are wonderful and attentive, checking on my table and any needs, always refilling my drinks. Food is great, love Denny's anywhere but to have one right here is fabulous. I go all hours of day and night and late night. I came here to have lunch. I ordered hot chocolate and it was watery. I changed it to coffee and got a cold cup. The server was nice and made a fresh batch. I waited 45 minutes for my food. I ordered chicken fried chicken. The chicken and gravy was cold and burnt. I ordered a side of hash browns and they were very oily, not to mention they scraped up old hash browns and put them together on my plate. If you want to wait for your coffee and even longer for breakfast this is where you should go. It took about 10 minutes forbthe hostess to seat us and they weren't all that busy. We waited about 5 minutes for our coffee. We waited for about 10 minutes for our order to be taken. AND WE Waited about 45 minutes for our food to be served. The staff was terrible. The food was super BAD. The worse French dip ever, the salmon was dry. The waitress didn't know the menu well, and ended up charging us for items that was supposed to come with the meal. It was a horrible experience. Finally! A Denny's in our little town! We only had to wait 15 minutes to be seated on there opening week! Not bad at all! Our server David I believe was awesome! Fast and even accommodated what I wanted. I wanted strawberry pancakes instead of blueberry and he did just that. They were awesome. Hopefully Denny's stays nice and clean, we have so many disrespectful teenagers that tend to lack respect in public places, that would not be Denny's fault but was a annoyance when we went. A table full of loud obnoxious 15 year old girls clearly thirsty for attention from everyone around them. A group of us men meet almost every Friday for breakfast. Rose greeted us with a smile and a good morning. Our drinks were served quickly with friendly chatting among the men and Rose. Although the restaurant was busy and short staffEd, Rose kept our drinks full with continuous updates about our orders. I know others have given this location poor reviews, every time we have had Rose as a hostess our orders are received in s timely manner and hot. Even after making numerous trips to our tables she remained friendly and upbeat. read more

We went to your restaurant last night for dinner around 5 pm. Maybe 4 other tables filled. The server with a man bun showed us to a table and said he would be our server and took our drink order. He brought our drinks right back. We then sat there for 20 minutes while he walked around talking to other servers, going out the front door and going into the back. We asked the other older male server if we could get our order taken. He yelled over to the young man to take our order. The young man walked over to another table that was just seated and promptly took their order. We walked out!!!!! Really Denny's, I think you count on us being stuck with you because we lack regular restaurants in Maricopa. No more for me. This is my 4th bad experience out of 6. read more

Went to take my wife for Mother's day breakfast. We were told they were short staffed and it would be about a 20 minutes wait for food. Fine no problem. We were seated right away and there was 4 tables other than ours. After waiting 45 minutes our waiter came by and explained to us they had "labor cost cutting" and the wait for food wasn't his fault. Which he's correct- the wait for food was not his fault, however waiting 20 minutes for a drink refill because your waiter is staring at a wall the entire time WAS his fault. As we sat a total of an hour and 15 minutes waiting for our food, we noticed that they were having no issues getting the multitude of pick up orders out, it was only a wait if you were sitting to dine. We brought that up to the waiter as well to which he replied that was also out of his control and he didn't understand why the cooks do that. When the food arrived it wasn't great quality (the hash browns were raw, the chocolate pancakes had cold, raw chocolate chips) but by this point we were so hungry and tired of waiting we ate as fast as we could to just get out of there. This is one of the few restaurants in this town with a variety of food. The staff is nice. Unfortunately, there have been a few issues with getting delivery from here. I requested a refund since they were not able to deliver around a sudden curfew over the summer. There was no follow through from staff or management to get money back from a meal that I was charged for but never received. We went in to eat a late dinner, I got the strawberry banana pancakes with eggs n hashbrowns. My scrambled eggs were burnt, my Hasbrowns I asked for diced onions inside hashbrowns they five me fried oily onions on top of the hashbrowns. I told server and extremely nice to her. She came back with either I have to have them remade or order something else on menu with hand on her hip and knee propped up on seat. Worst experience in a restaurant in many years. It is difficult to screw up a meal at Denny's, but they recently did it for my wife and I hear in Maricopa. We went in at about 6:30 PM on a week night and were seated right away by the "manager". Our waitress showed up a few minutes later to take our order. I ordered the Crazy Spicy Sizzlin Skillet with the 2 egg option and my wife ordered the Cheeseburger with Avocado. Our food finally arrived after 7:30. Mine had no chicken and only 1 egg with the bottom of the skillet all grease. My wife received a very charred burger on the outside and pink inside with what appeared to be a cooked slice of avocado. The waitress appeared offended when I pointed out that she brought me an incorrect order and even more so when I walked to the counter, grabbed a menu and gave her a visual! Not once in our hour long wait did the waitress talk to us about delays, nor was the manager seen on the seating floor to address the upset customers (was not crowded and everybody was pissed). We tried Denny's in Maricopa right around the holidays. It might be better now, as I've seen a few more recent posts on here. It was okay, but the service was really slow. Everyone was nice. The place was clean enough. It was just slow, confirming some other online reviews I read. That's not good. To be clear, both the customer service in the dining room, and food from the kitchen, was slow. It wasn't very busy in there, and it appeared that they were maybe just getting caught up from a busy rush because so many of their employees were either taking smoke breaks outside or sitting at tables and eating while the rest of the wait staff was watching each other's sections. That's okay to an extent if you're gonna be gone just a few minutes, but we literally didn't see our waitress again until the very end of our meal. If you're gonna pass off a guest to another team member, transfer the ticket, or at least warn the customer and introduce them to the person who will be helping to take care of them. At one point, someone came by and asked if we needed anything. We told them we needed extra napkins, and after a few minutes of waiting another employee came by asking the same thing. We also told them "napkins" and they went and got some quickly. Then the other staff member came by with napkins. It's hard to communicate or give good service when a table is being waited on by three different people. The customer doesn't know who to ask for help, and they usually won't feel like a priority. It also hurts the tip average, because the customer doesn't connect with anyone. (Veteran servers and managers will get that). With IHOP just opening in Maricopa, this Denny's better get it together. We aren't saying we won't be back, but we honestly weren't given enough good reasons to return. In this competitive business, you often get only one chance (if you're lucky) to build return business, which is the lifeblood of any successful restaurant. read more

What a great experience! The service here takes me back to the times when people took pride in their work. The food was good. I had a Greek omelet; Yum! And it was for dinner. But, by and far it was the gentleman who was my waiter. I have not been treated with this much courtesy in a long time. He called me sir and was prompt with my order. Me & my family went in and waited 20-30 minutes to be sat. They said they were backed up because of togo orders, we ended up waiting for our food for almost an hour.
