Atmosphere - Really not a food truck but a unique trailer.  Almost something you would see on downtown Chicago street corner. Food - Italian Beef a Chicago traditional staple in the city.  It was great having one again.  The beef was great, I just wish there was more in the sandwich.  This could fall under service as well.  I think they kept their prices at their normal.  $8.50 was solid price for this sandwich.  I think they could have charged at least $10.50 or more for the event. Service - You could tell they had extra help for this event.  The cashiers were friendly.  The food came out quickly.  Lucky we got there early before the lines became insanely long, not just their "truck" but all trucks. Future - I had a bit of my wife's Polish sausage and it was tasty.  I would come back for just that.

The hot dogs are always fantastic, the service is genuinely friendly, and every visit reminds me of a simpler time when neighbors waved to each other and people actually knew their regular customers. No gimmicks, no trendy nonsense--just great food, great people, and a place that still feels like part of the community. This is a place I've been going to since the 1900s (as my kids love to remind me ). I didn't expect much. Things had changed since my childhood days, but the food had always remained good! I just missed the days when the same guy worked the grill and knew my name and my order by heart. But then, today... There was Karen. Yes, Karen!! Standing over a grill in 117° Arizona heat, she greeted us with patience, kindness, and an actual smile. She let my son take his time ordering without making him feel rushed. And when the ketchup was empty, she didn't shrug it off or point us in another direction. She didn't hand me a thousand little packets since the pump was empty. She simply took care of it. Was it just ketchup? Sure. But it also wasn't. It was someone choosing to care. When other patrons had notified other staff multiple times it was out - Karen found a simple solution without excuses! These days... that feels rare. We've spent years turning the name "Karen" into a punchline. But today, I met the kind of Karen the world could use a whole lot more of. If you're her manager and you're reading this... take good care of her. Promote her. Clone her if science ever figures that out. Because people like Karen don't just serve food - they create loyal customers who keep coming back!! In a world that tells us what a "Karen" is... be this Karen.

We sat down and waited another 25 minutes until finally our buzzer beeped. We picked up our tray and noticed we were only given 5 hot dogs, not 6. We didn't mention anything just because we saw how busy it still was. The hot dogs were actually pretty good. They were a decent size and flavorful. We really liked the bacon fries and it was enough to share between us three. There was an employee keeping the tables clean and picking up trash - he was friendly. Wife got an avocado grilled chicken salad and was happy with it. Our kid got a patty melt with fries and it was really good. I got the Big Mackinaw burger and it was phenomenal. Very tasty. So the food was pretty good, I think my wife would agree to go back. The service was a bit of a journey. Started off ice cold. No smiles, no response, almost annoyed that we were there. It was a bit WTF. But I pushed and made small talk and jokes and next thing you know they are friendly with us and I even got the lady to switch one of the television to a Toronto Argonauts CFL game! That made me very happy. I complemented the burger to them and their attitudes changed. Maybe had a rough day? Maybe guests are not nice? My wife and I were having a hot dog jones and notice it open so we quickly swung in. We each had a regular hot dog which had grilled onions, salsa, ketchup, Mustard and mayo. Also got some mushrooms and guacamole on the side.. Hot Dogs each came with a grilled green pepper.. It was great!! Loved the hot dogs and toppings and the guy inside the food truck was very nice. The price was $10 for two dogs which was a little steep, but worth it. Next time I may try something from the Taco truck next to the hot dog truck.
