Messages with door dasher
Angelica A.

This is honestly the last time I will ever DoorDash any order from here. Last time it was the pancakes, and this time it it with no condiments in the order that was placed. When I called in the General manager was there and was blaming me for not requesting it. Let him know it was common scene to add it. Informed him that I was going to drive there to replace the order and get a fresh one with all the condiments. When I went in he was still saying it was my fault for not asking for it. I pulled out my phone and informed him where is it asking for it? There was no request button for condiments. Then he started to blame my phone and the app. LOL! Mind you, this man couldn't even find the condiments request button! lol Started to say that in the state of CA they are not allowed to just add condiments to the online orders. Informed him that I was clearly not in the service industry and that it was no where in sight online! Yet there tables are covered with condiments. The math isn't mathing. He made me place ANOTHER ORDER online and it was another $27!!!! This bafoon forgot to cancel my order which resulted into another DoorDash coming my way. I had to inform the dasher of what was happening and he had to go back to speak with the manager. I had to call DoorDash myself to cancel the order and for me to get a FULL REFUND for the 2nd order that was placed. Not only did the manager waste my time and the dashers but had 2 out of three FULL meals thrown away due to not paying attention. I woke up this morning with 5 door dash charges because of the general managers neglect. Beyonnnd mad. This order has cost me over $130!!!!!!!!! I'm reaching out to corporate at this point!

Stopped by here after an event. I had their breakfast. Loved the omelette and hash brown. We also tried their mozzarella sticks. I'm not a fan of mozzarella sticks but these were pretty good. Server was friendly and place was clean.

Grand slam Original Grand Slam®

It's been ages since I've had a Dennys grand slam. I had a free reward so I decided to redeem it on a Sunday morning. The bacon was crispy and sausage was perfect. Eggs over easy. The place was about 1/3 full at 8 am. Host was kind and service was terrific.

Great for what it is! The prices are starting to rise from what I remember last time but isn't everything lol. Service was friendly! Food was similar to ihop! Definitely a family friendly diner vibe.

The service was great and the food as well! I give my server a 5 star review. What leads me to give a 1 star if possible a 0 is an incident I saw between the manager Javier G. and a young woman whom I believe was a busser. He demanded her to go on her lunch break and stated he wouldn't be adjusting her time sheet. How do I know this much info for just being a customer dinning in is because he said all that loud enough for me to hear. Mind you I was with my 3 boys, boys can be somewhat noisy. I believe this is very unprofessional from his part, as a manager and for his age (I believe his age range is anywhere between 52-66) he should know how to manage this type of communication, this type of conversations are to be held in private not in front of consumers. Next time I'm in I expect to not witness this again! And I hope he's mature enough to realize he is in the wrong and apologizes to this young woman because I was looking for him to bring it up to his attention after I finished my food but he was gone. Over all thank you to the servers, cooks, bussers, and dishwashers! You guys are awesome!!!

Chicken, fried steak and eggs. My husband thought it was delicious

Had the bourbon chicken! OMG it was delicious. I definitely large portion. I'm taking half of it home for dinner. The people are incredibly kind and the places immaculately clean. My hubby had the chicken fried steak. We were there at 11:00 in the morning. It's great that you can get breakfast and dinner all at the same time

smaller bread
Ray L.

I used to enjoy visiting this Denny's with my family, but our recent experience was disappointing. Prices have gone up while portion sizes, including bread, have noticeably shrunk. Kid's Meal 1 ($6.39): Two chicken tenders and two strips of small bacon. Kid's Meal 2 ($5.79): Mac & cheese with bacon and sausage--sides were too small. Senior Meal ($11.29): My mother-in-law's favorite salmon dinner now had smaller portions and bread. My Meal ($16.99): Chicken fried steak--price increased, with smaller portions and bread. Overall, the rising prices and shrinking portions make it hard to recommend this location, especially for kids. I am not sure if this is the corporate policy or just specific to this location. The changes here are significant.

It's Denny's. Expect crappy food. This one is pretty slow b/c it's located in Foothill Ranch, so have fun and eat some mediocre food.

There's plenty of space separated between tables, so you won't overhear any other parties' conversations. Service was a tad slow after we were seated, but it was a Friday night. Not a major issue. That's the only reason I didn't add an extra star to this review. The food......DELICIOUS! Started with the Rye bread with cultured butter. It was impeccably soft & scrumptious. Sweet potato fries were out of this world. Soft and not overly sweet - cooked to perfection. It didn't need the papaya mustard dip in my opinion. Hangar steak with potatoes, onions & green beans (drooling just at the memory) - sooooo good. I could order this every time. It was a beautiful plate of food. Pork tenderloin with sweet potato, apple & braised red cabbage - also a hit! The pork was a tad dry but all the flavors together were like fall & home combined. I am beyond impressed & excited by Farmhouse. I can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu :)

The ambiance - at times it is very busy like for breakfast on the weekends but they have their process well-organized and it goes very quickly even when crowded. We recently started coming for lunch - they have a lunch menu and are open until 2pm. I am known on YELP for providing critical but hopefully helpful comments. Here are mine for this week. CHICKEN SANDWICH - made just the way a real chicken sandwich should be made with fried chicken and cole slaw. The chicken is too thick and makes the sandwich very hard to eat. I know that the size of the chicken reflects the generosity of Poached Kitchen but in this case the ease of eating the sandwich needs to take precedent. and the cole slaw should be a vinegar-based slaw not a mayonnaise. Mayonnaise is too creamy and thick. The slaw needs to be less gooey and sticky to compliment the chicken. Good place to go where they're mastered this is R+D Kitchen in Newport Fashion Island....you can also get this same item prepared exactly the same way at Banderas in Corona del Mar - same master chef. And the fries need to be cooked in Tallow. Tru Foods does this and they set the standard for healthy food. SOURCING - you need to tell people where your eggs come from - in some places I've seen Vital Farms which is good Pasture Raised Eggs but that is not confirmed on your menu. Also for sourcing you mention Brant Farms on your menu for beef (it's spelled Brandt) but Brandt does not advertise grass-fed and finished beef and your menu is silent on this subject. Again you need to be specific about your sourcing. You can say "grass-fed and finished beef when available" to cover sourcing problems but you need to start sourcing from a pasture-raised beef supplier not a ranch that uses lots of mealy-mouthed words in their description of what they do. There are plenty of local California sources for grass-fed and finished beef including Diamond Ranch who operates BuyRanchDirect so you could take delivery in southern California. Hope the comments are helpful.

They have some overhead fans but it was still pretty hot outside (it was a heat wave). I bet it usually feels fine though. Thankfully my drink helped cool me down! I ordered the Coronado Brewing, which is described as superfruit acai cider. I loved it! I'm not a big drinker but I've always loved Angry Orchard cider, so if you're like me, you would probably like the Coronado too. It's a deep red colored cider and can come in a 16 or 20oz. It can get loud here, even outside. I found that my voice was a bit scratchy after I got home from the happy hour with all the loud talking, but that's probably to be expected anywhere you go!

I will say, the food and beverages did come out very quickly! If you don't get a table, there is plenty of room to sit in beach chairs that you bring or even a blanket laid down.

Before I even get to what may genuinely be the greatest burger I've ever eaten, I have to start…read morewith Nevaeh. Somehow, Nevaeh managed to make three grown men eating burgers after rock climbing feel like we were being welcomed home after returning from a dangerous expedition. Every Wednesday, two of my childhood friends and I go rock climbing together. We've known each other forever, and our Wednesday routine has become sacred: climb until our fingers are destroyed, debate whether we got stronger or just found easier problems, then head to Eureka! for burgers and beers. And then there is Nevaeh. From the moment we sat down, her service was exceptional. She was warm, funny, attentive, and somehow appeared exactly when we needed something without interrupting three childhood friends catching up. The IPAs arrived cold and perfectly timed. And then came the burgers. After climbing for hours, you're operating on another level of hunger. Your forearms are cooked, your fingertips hurt, you've had that first sip of IPA, and you're discussing completely meaningless things with the seriousness of a United Nations summit. And then, in the distance... Nevaeh appears. Carrying the Double Smash Burgers. Time slows down. Conversation stops. Three men quietly turn their heads. She approaches carrying what can only be described as beautifully constructed monuments to beef. With the confidence of someone who understands exactly what she's bringing to the table, Nevaeh places the Double Smash Burger in front of me. At that moment, nothing else matters. I've been eating burgers since I was a child. Backyard burgers. Burgers after sports. Fast-food burgers. Steakhouse burgers. Gourmet burgers with ingredient lists requiring their own table of contents. I'm 41 years into my burger education. I thought I understood burgers. Then Nevaeh put this thing in front of me. The patties have those magnificent thin, smashed edges pressed against the griddle until they develop a deeply browned caramelized crust. The edges are crispy while the center remains incredibly juicy. Then comes the cheese, melted into every irregular crack, crevice, and crispy edge until the beef and cheese essentially become one glorious substance. The freshness and acidity of the toppings cut through the richness, the sauce brings everything together, and somehow the bun contains this entire operation without collapsing under the enormous responsibility assigned to it. Nothing dominates. Nothing is unnecessary. Every ingredient seems to understand that its sole purpose in life is to make the next ingredient taste better. Then you reach for the IPA. That first cold, bitter, hoppy sip after the burger is borderline transformative. The hops slice through the richness of the beef and cheese. The carbonation resets your palate. The bitterness contrasts perfectly against the salty, caramelized crust. Suddenly you're ready for another bite. Burger. IPA. Burger. IPA. Childhood friend says something. Nobody hears him. Burger. IPA. Nevaeh walks by and somehow already knows we're doing great. At this point I'm wondering whether she received specialized training in burger logistics because her timing was almost suspiciously perfect. Need another drink? She's there. Need something for the table? Already handled. Want to actually enjoy a conversation with friends without constantly being interrupted? She understands that too. That's what makes Nevaeh exceptional. Great service isn't hovering over a table every four minutes. It's anticipating what people need while allowing them to enjoy why they came in the first place. Nevaeh absolutely mastered that. Somewhere between the Double Smash Burger, my second IPA, and laughing with two guys I've known since childhood, I realized something. Burgers have quietly followed me through my entire life. Family barbecues as a kid. Burgers after sports. Burgers with friends as a teenager. Burgers after long days. And now, decades later, every Wednesday after climbing, it's still the same thing. Same food. Same childhood friends. We're just older now. And apparently we've finally found the final boss of burgers. The Eureka! Double Smash Burger. So I'm prepared to make an extremely irresponsible statement: This is the best burger I've ever eaten. Could climbing-induced starvation have influenced this conclusion? Possibly. Could two IPAs have strengthened my conviction? Almost certainly. But I have enough experience in burger consumption to stand behind my findings. The Double Smash Burger is phenomenal. The IPA pairing is perfection. But Nevaeh is what turns the whole thing into an experience. She doesn't just bring you a burger. She arrives carrying the burger. She presents the burger. She understands the gravity of the burger. The end.
