We were in the area tonight decided to stop in for dinner. The menu has changed so I took new pictures and posted them. Make sure you ask for the value menu because they don't just give it to you. There are several items under $10 so it's worth looking at. I ordered the value slam in my husband, ordered the scrambled egg slam. Overall I would rate this place a -5/10. The waitress was alright but very fast paced and unwelcoming. The dishes were dirty and needed to be replaced. Our steak was dry and tough, causing it to be nearly impossible to cut. The strawberries lemonade was more sour than sweet and you can taste no sign of strawberries. The boneless buffalo wings were more bread than meat and the sauce was salty. I could go on but I feel that would be too much of being a negative Nancy. I just believe they could do better. Holey mackerel! Amanda has been our server the last two times we were there and is Amazing. Just killing it all around. The food is always terrific at any Denny's location but we weren't a fan of the service. I think customer service goes a long way and our waitress named Bianca didn't have a great attitude at all. I just scrolled down and saw someone else posting about the rudeness of this waitress Bianca. It's crazy how she hasn't been fired yet. Her customer service was extremely unpleasant. One of the better Denny's locations. Like all other Denny's, you get big portions at low prices with many fun comfort food items, particularly for breakfast (which I find myself eating between evening and midnight more often now, thanks to Denny's). What makes this location stand out is how it is overall a bit cleaner than other Denny's. I don't see lots of random crumbs or spilled syrup on tables or chairs. Service seems to be a bit faster and friendlier than other local Denny's I've eaten at. As a result, the food temperature is better when it arrives at my table. As usual, the pancakes here are one of the big standout items -- with the perfect amount of fluffiness and chewiness. The hash browns are always crispy and savory, with just the right amount of firmness. Make sure you try the strawberry pancake puppies if you get a chance, the perfect cousin of the traditional hush puppy. Overall, good Dennys to grab a bite if you're in the area and are craving familiar flavors or a late night breakfast. read more

Absolutely the worst Dennys I ever went to. We had to wait almost 20 minutes before the food came. I was given the wrong food, And even though I said I'll eat the wrong food, the waitress insisted to take it away. I am sure the original customer enjoyed my droplets. We had to again wait for a long time. When my wifes food finally came It wasn't well done as she ordered it. When my original food order finally came it was cold. My son took my food back and when it came back it was still cold. Finally I went myself. And told them that the food is still cold. The manager only spoke broken English and when the food was brought back to me it was still cold. And oh by the way, I forgot to mention it was my birthday. The waitresses were very rude and disrespectful. I am only 79 and there is zero respect for seniors. What a nasty place this has become. Only one waitress said "Happy Birthday" by the way. Shout out to: Rachel, Joshua, and Claribel for such good service! The three people I mentioned above made my experience a nice one especially at the crack of dawn. I was in Schaumburg for business and I don't always want eggs for breakfast, I really wanted a burger & that's what I was there for. The burger was pretty epic but it was my conversations that I really enjoyed. The over all look and feel of the restaurant has a bit of a throwback charm to it reflecting the days of true diners. I just got home from consuming what I'm sure must amount to 5000 calories in my post church Lunch. I feel sinful. I saw the commercials for the Bacon Extravaganza going on and my friends wanted breakfast food, so Denny's it was! This is actually a very nice Denny's location, super clean and super friendly servers who seem eager to please. And honestly, Denny's prices just can't be beat. They have tons of items for just $2 or $4 which I would do normally but NO! I had a purpose today. Happy Baconalia! Ever since seeing the commercial I have wanted to try the Bacon Sundae so that would surely be my dessert. For my main entree, the Triple Bacon Sampler: 2 hickory-smoked bacon strips, 2 pepper bacon strips and 2 strips of turkey bacon plus 2 eggs and cheesey hashbrowns. The bacon was whatever except the Pepper Bacon was a standout, definitely would get that again. I got my eggs cooked sunnyside up and they were cooked perfectly. The cheesey hashbrowns had bits of bacon in them and were just delicious! I wouldn't get the bacon sampler again as it was more $$$ for more bacon and not worth it...all I need it that Pepper Bacon! Delish! And then the moment came. Bacon Sundae time. My friends were disgusted as I dived into the cool swine decadence. The vanilla ice cream is topped with bacon pieces and some maple syrup nomnomnomz. As I kept eating I could see the crown jewel at the bottom, a big pile of bacon and maple syrup (see picture). This sundae was amazing but towards the end of it, I was feeling a bit bacon overloaded. It was too maple syrupy at the end and just seemed like a melty maple syrup mess! Been coming here for 42years. Since high school..... Today was an absolute disappointment. Family of 4 a few tables away from us summoned a server and asked if someone could help them, they had been waiting 15 min and no one came to their table. After nearly 15 min ourselves ( table of two ) with no one to come by and see if we even wanted coffee, something to drink, or to tell us they would be right with us, we left. What a shame. I understand many places are short handed when it comes to staffing. We did see a number of employees here; maybe we and the other table were invisible. I came here for an early morning breakfast at around 4am. I ordered coffee, milk, $4 biscuits & gravy with scrambled eggs and hashbrowns, and a side of bacon. There was just one waitress and one cook while I was here. 3 tables were full and I sat at the bar. I am amazed at the service and fast food. I got my milk and coffee almost instantly, and my meal seemed to come too fast. I don't even know how the cook made it that fast! Everything was warm and tasted good. Well, except the cheap bacon (-1 star). Overall, a great breakfast with fast and friendly service! read more

They seat us across the street from the gas station which gives us a dark reminder of the crippling cost of gas. What a terrible reminder that I can barely afford this breakfast let alone gas. Our waitress takes five minutes to come and then another five to get us drinks. She chats back and forth with her favorite colleagues while me and my group watches waiting so thirsting for a refreshing drink to quench our thirst. She then comes to take our order and her only responses were yes to everything. She didn't ask us what kind of toast we want. She doesn't even have a notepad. Our order is about to be messed up. She should have taken our order with a notepad and if she can't she should be bussing tables instead of waitressing. So I ordered food from this Denny's and the food was great. The reason why they're getting one star is because I also ordered a coffee and got an empty coffee cup with a several condiments in the empty coffee cup instead of the coffee I ordered. What's so fu@king mind boggling to me is the fact that the person getting the order ready while checking the receipt to make sure that the order is accurate, put condiments in a coffee cup were there should've been fucking coffee. So regardless of the fact of the food tasting decent, the fact that you have some stupid fuck that looks at the order or fucking receipt to make sure all the food is there but fails to put coffee in a fucking coffee cup is fucking mind-boggling to me so fuck you guys! This might just sound silly to some, but I am a huge fan of Denny's from my first visit ever this weekend! Yeah, I never lived in the 'burbs and hence never visited Denny's before! I loved how clean and organized this place was, how extensive the menu was, how fresh the food prepared was, and how good the service was! I loved the holiday menu and the gingerbread french toast; their hash browns were pretty good too. There was only a few people inside and my server, Amanda, was quick to take my order and bring me coffee. I opted for the ultimate omelette which was loaded with veggies, bacon, sausage, and cheese. Well same like this other people we were waiting for 20 mins the hostess put us in a table gave us coffee with attitude then she never came back and decided to sit by the bar stool and play with her phone while drinking her coffee. Went to Denny's today for breakfast. Service was bad. Went through 3 different people, for help. I had the Santa Fe sizzlin skillet. my sister had the Grand slam breakfast and my brother-in-law had an omelette with bacon and cheddar cheese mine arrived hot. Theirs has arrived cold we arrived at 10:20 a.m. took our orders within 10 minutes did not receive our food till 11:00a.m. Restaurant was not busy at all. Two people had gotten their orders after we arrived three people walked in after us got their orders before we even received hours and everybody have left before we received ours. I understand of having to sit and wait but the staff seem overall off today. I was wondering if it was because my sister was wearing her Chicago police department T-shirt just some background info our parents were Chicago cops that are now retired. Not claiming racism or discrimination but I'm wondering if the T-shirt my sister was wearing had anything to do with the shabby service we received today. I'm leaving three stars because the food was excellent especially for the incredibly low price. My main concern is the few customers dining here didn't follow social distancing nor wear a mask. An elderly man seated two tables away from me was literally sweating and wheezing past me as he made his way to the bathroom not even bothering to wear a mask. What is the point of placing the mask rules on your door if your staff won't enforce it upon your customers? I hate masks, trust me and I'm the last person that likes being ordered what to do but management here isn't strictly enforcing the mask enough. My server was incredibly slow, never seemed happy to be here and would disappear for long periods of time so I'd have to ask the other server where she would disappear to. Again my meal was well prepared, service slow and unenthusiastic; but every table was immaculately clean. If you're going to dine here don't spoil it for other people. DON'T BE SELFISH AND PLEASE WEAR YOUR MASK AS YOU LEAVE YOUR TABLE. I pray I didn't catch anything from the elderly man who huffed and puffed past my table twice. In general the vibes here were very depressing. There weren't many customers and so the servers should have been more observant and attentive. I actually ate here before the pandemic hit and I remember the service here being much better. I just called to place an order to go, had to call 3 times before anyone answered the phone, this was mildly irritating but I shrugged it off thinking "eh, maybe they're busy" Finally get through and I began giving my order to the man who answered the phone. I asked for a sante fe skillet with no eggs or cheese and said please do not use any butter or margarine for my skillet, use olive oil. The man began laughing and said 'let me get this right, no egg, no cheese, no nothing!?' (chuckling the whole time) I said, 'excuse me sir, I'm vegan and the fact that you're laughing at my special requests is rude.' He's like "I'm not laughing at you it's just funny" I told him I wouldnt be ordering any longer and hung up. I normally would never eat at a Denny's but last minute decision and I'm so happy we went. The food was great! I had the bourbon bacon burger and it was so juicy and tasty! The veggie beef soup tasted homemade. We also had a really great server. Luis was very on top of his game and very nice. I didn't finish my coffee so he gave it to me in a to go cup. BTW I'm a huge coffee snob and was extremely surprised how good the coffee was. I just became a Schaumburg Denny's fan! Thank you Luis read more
