Food was good. Services was excellent. And overall, enjoyed the hospitality and didn't have to wait long for food to out.

Upon walking in I saw 1 hostess seating and bussing tables, for a parking lot full of customers. There were many dirty tables that hadn't been bussed or cleaned (some for the entirety of our visit. There were maybe 4 servers for the entire restaurant, 2 in our half of the restaurant. Our server was very very busy, I felt bad asking for anything as she was getting new tables before she had the opportunity to finish the task she was doing. The kitchen must have been understaffed as well because my sons scrambled eggs came out burned (brown spots), my pancakes were burned, my husbands scrambled eggs were dry and also overcooked, his pancakes were undercooked; the biggest let down were my over medium eggs on my skillet. They were burned, with crispy edges but had very very runny whites. I did not want another plate from them since I had seen how long it took the kitchen to get food out and the quality they were comfortable sending out. Hilda & Luis always greet me and my family with kindness and are very attentive (e.g., keeping my mug filled with fresh hot coffee at all times)! I enjoy the way the restaraunt was rennovated. The bar stools are way more comfortable and the booths too. I seem to have made this Denny's my third place and can always depend on coming here to use fast wifi, read, and/or destress from life. read more

I was not expecting much as this is a Denny's. However, this place is absolutely gross! I paid $20 for an omelette that was without a doubt the worst omelette I've ever eaten. The atmosphere was so bad I immediately asked for a to go box the minute I received my food. The cleanliness was questionable as staff were eating off customers trays. This is how service should be. Monica was the server in my area and I observed her friendly greet and acknowledge all of her tables. She buzzed thru confident, accurate, and sociable. I just loved her style and energy. Made me think of the tv show undercover boss and how happy her boss should be to have her as an employee. Our waitress Christy was awesome! The restaurant was clean and well maintained. The food was mediocre. I ordered the Moons over my hammy omellete with hashbrowns and GF English muffin. The omellete had very little meat and cheese in it. According to menu it was supposed to have 2 cheeses and mine had only 1 and very little of that. If i wanted just eggs I could have saved myself money. My husbands meal along with mine was cold. The shredded cheese on his eggs didn't even melt. It's not every day that I give a five star review to Denny's, but today isn't every day; it Thanksgiving!!! Thanksgiving day, there are no restaurants open except for Denny's and iHop. It's lunch and I'm starving!!! If you go to Denny's with the expectation that it's going to be exactly as advertised, and you order exactly what they are known for, I guarantee you will have a good experience!! Normally just having a good as expected experience wouldn't earn a restaurant 5 stars, but in this case our server, Shannon was wonderful!!! We were a party of five, the kitchen appeared short staffed and a little pissed off to be working on Thanksgiving. Shannon even warned us coming in that the kitchen was slow. When our food came out, and Shannon went to pick it up, there appeared to be mistakes and things missing. I'm telling you, she fought for us, and made sure our food was perfect!! I know, I know, its only Denny's, right? But the are good Denny's (just about everywhere if you know what to order), horribly bad Denny's (Holbrook, AZ), then there are great Denny's that get it right every time and the Hobbs Denny's is just one of those places. I've been here several times and have great dining experiences each time; great service, perfect food, and just good dining. Now keep in mind, I don't go to Denny's for anything other than breakfast. Breakfast is a simple meal and easy to prepare. I expect EVERY breakfast place to get breakfast right. Alas, that's not always the case. This Denny's however does. Good bacon, eggs perfectly over-easy, flavorful bread and good butter, and the potatoes not over-cooked to desert dryness. But the stand-out at this particular Denny's are their great servers. I've had exemplemary service each and every time I've been here. That is stratospheric service in Hobbs, NM which I've experienced some of the slowest, worst service in my life in this town!
