Denny's is hit and miss depending on the location. I have to say that Fernley has a pretty decent Denny's. The pancakes are incredibly good and everything else is very decent to very good. Service has always been good when I've been there. It is inside a casino so you can have your fun also. read more

First of all the waitresses were more than fantastic !!! They really look out to insure your coffee was topped off and the coffee wasn't half bad, no after taste from coffee that's been sitting around awhile. Typical Denny's as I would envision, I've only been to a Denny's in maybe four times in my life so far. Very clean and well lit. Now for the food, I think they employ child labor because what was normally one egg, the size of the two eyeballs looking up looked like only one eggs size. As for the bacon and sausage, instead of super sized I thought Rick Moranis was lurking about and shrunk the sausage and the bacon. The hash brown was great but again, where's the beef!, four hefty bites and it was gone. The pancakes, well they were pancakes, not something I would go out of my way to order but it came with the grand slam order. Not ok and the corporate store should probably rethink why there are so many 1 stars here. The name I used is not a typical name very unique no way anyone would have used it. I verified the name and phone number with very rude waitress or manager she looks like Jan from the office show. She refused to give me my food I already paid for that wasn't even warm anymore. The food was sub par cold and soggy by the time I got back home to eat it. So dissatisfied and disappointed in the staff and the food. My family & I are regulars at this Denny's. Their food is typically always good, even though it can take a while ocassionally. Huge fan of the Tres Leches pancakes. You can't ever go wrong with pancakes, but the Tres Leches pancakes are my fav ever. The horchata ice cream & creamy sauce that they give you to pour on top of the ice cream & pancakes is SO yummy! It really brings the whole meal together. Delicious omelettes packed full of flavor. They don't skimp on the ingredients in the omelettes. Service can be inconsistent. The kind of service you get really depends on the server that you have. Sometimes we are lucky enough to get 1 refill on our coffees/drinks. The managers are nice & helpful. We have dined at a lot of Denny's & over all this isn't the worst ever Denny's that we've dined at. read more

Denny's Fernley Location Now Denny's has had a rough go around I mean some hate it, some love it an it depends on a few things that need to be right, Consistent in quality of food, nice and welcoming staff all this plays a factor when it comes to dining not only at Dennys but anywhere. But here is my experience and my issues with this location, now it's not all bad, there will be good things. From the moment you or I walked in, I was waiting for the hostess to seat us but they were in the kitchen unsure why that was but after 5min we were seated an greeted by Sierra one of the only servers at this location that's welcoming, pleasant and mostly very quick to help customers. But she gave us a few mins to overlook the menu and after making our decisions wife an I were just making small talk when from the back of the kitchen was a very loud whistling from one of the kitchen staff, it was getting obnoxious an when asking the staff of theres a way they could ask the man to not whistle so loud or something but it continued throughout our dinner, I kept trying to tune it out but just kept going. Finally after eating our food and being thanked and apologized by Sierra for the whistling we left quickly. Got to the front to pay an when the hostess asked me how was everything? I simply replied "it was okay, but it would've been a lot better if the staff could've talked to the gentleman in the back whistling" shes obviously said oh I'm sorry I didnt hear it *he was still whistling while we were talking* i got frustrated and was like never mind it's okay, I'll talk to someone later bout it. Did you wanna talk to my manager? Talked to the manager, he apologized an said we will speak to him about his whistling. I'm sorry about your bad experience. Update: Since this visit my wife have been there a handful of times an the whistling is still happening, so now we just sit closer to the casino instead of the kitchen it's just not a good experience when you've got no staff whom is wanting or ask that guy to be quiet. Until things change I'm not sure how long I'll be going there but hopefully things change. read more
