I had a waitress named Juana or something, I speak Spanish and English. I was with my "Mexican" boyfriend and I am half white and Mexican, I look like a white person. I spoke clear Spanish and then she refused to talk to me in that language then she takes my boyfriend's order and spoke Spanish to him. I felt disrespected. That is just the start, we place our order and got our food and she just ignored us the whole time. Never gave a refill for our drinks. She didn't ask if we needed anything else. Then we paid and she grabbed the receipt pretty aggressive out of my hand. Then I did the same back and never said thank you. I never spoke up for myself because I am a minimal wage worker as well. Place is more of 3.75 stars. Building is not as modern as other newer locations but it does have a nice charm that blends in with the neighborhood. Food is Denny's good. I like how the menu has expanded over the years with more options. My favorite breakfast is the build your own breakfast. You can go the traditional grand slam or change out some items to something more health oriented. Staff is fast and friendly. They keep your coffee topped off. They have a meeting room off to the side for larger groups. Plenty of parking out front but it can be difficult getting in and out of the parking lot depending on which direction you are going. read more

This crappy server that looked like a drunkard by the name of Florentino T and this other jerk who probably was either the cook or the manager where starring at the door when I was struggling to push my dad through the door. They never moved a muscle and where like 10 feet from the entrance. They just stood there like a pair of dummies. We where the only customers. We were seated and ordered the "special" all you can eat egg and hash browns pancakes and coffees.I asked Flower to give me a couple of pieces of toast instead of the two pancakes. He denied the change. I ordered two more plates of eggs with hash browns. It was almost 4pm and we hadn't had anything to eat. I wanted to take my pancakes to go, they where untouched. This guy Florentino tell us that we can't take the leftovers to go because it was all you can eat. I explained to idiot that these where the original cakes that came with the order.. This jerk said something in his hard to understand so called English that we were not allowed to this and that, he blabbers his mouth like a person on crack. That it was wrong. He went on saying that if we where not eating everything on our plate that we should never have ordered more. IT WAS ALL YOU CAN EAT! I'm paying for this disgusting food. It's not free. I swear that I almost got up and punched him in the face. What business of his to talk that way to his customers. Stopped in recently and was very hungry as I'd been fasting for blood work. Came straight from the laboratory and was seated immediately. I was fortunate to find a parking spot let alone a place to sit. Ericka too my order and within minutes I had a drink and my meal. The place was packed but their staff worked very quickly and efficiently. I was surprised they offered a special menu for budget mined folks. I saw everyone seated around me was having plates full of pancakes so I joined the crowd and ordered the same short stack. I always enjoyed eggs as well as a piece of sausage and bacon. I need to mention that this restaurant was very clean. I didn't see a dirty plate or glass anywhere. They were well staff and this alone was appreciated. If you're in a rush and looking for a place to eat, consider this location. Sit down, enjoy a meal then get back to your busy day. I eat here often with the kiddos and fam usually during the breakfast time! Kiddos always get the chocolate chip pancakes and they love it and you can never go wrong with one of their skillets , Sante Fe skillet is my favorite! Never a long wait when we have gone and the host is on point with making sure guest are attended! For starters; my utensils were dirty and my drinking glass still had the previous customers lipstick stuck on glass. I asked waiter and he was looking at glass like I had lied. He finally felt the lipstick on there and took it back. Considering most restaurants in North County are four or five stars except chain diners and any fast food brand owned by Pepsi ( Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and KFC) I took Denny's low rating with a grain of salt. It had been over a decade since by last visit to a Denny's but it was the "kids eat free" on Saturday promotion that brought me in. What I really like about Denny's was how you could customize their kids menus to meet specific dietary and portion needs. Breakfast and Regular items were available with several upgrade options to put a smile even on the most finicky Jr diners. Best Item Denny's did a surprisingly good job with their lettuce wrapped burger. The option to swap out fries for a decent fruit bowl was nice indeed It's a diner chain, it was satisfactory, and it's A-OK in my book. read more

The Server served us well, no complained about her. I could give her 5 star. My main Complained was: Glasses was too filthy. Please wash it carefully and check to make sure its clear before re-using it. No napkins available. What?! We only use the one covering the utensils. My order was sizzling but it wasn't sizzling at all. The chorizo was a tiny bits and more of potatoes. it was awful. Oh and lastly they refused to use the coupon of my Friend just because it was on mobile . According to them it needs to be printed. Really?! Wow! Unbelievable. Late night cravings for pancakes brought us to Denny's on national pancake day last week. We got there and it was a 20 minute wait. The place was packed but they weren't seating people in half the restaurant. Well only 4 people were working at the time which was surprising so I can see why they weren't using some of the tables. I don't remember the waiter's name but he gave great service and you can see him running around helping customers then to the back helping the chef. I ordered these blackberry pancake balls and they were amazing. So was their blackberry shake. So good and I wanted more right away. The buttermilk pancakes were delicious. Really hit the spot. I don't give Denny's enough credit. I always think of it as average food since it's a chain that's everywhere but my last visit was really great. Dennys is always a delicious traditional meal. The 2468 menu is unbelievable. I always forget about it and then notice it after I order. I didn't forget this time. I ordered eggs in a basket: Over easy eggs fried into cheese bread, a hash brown scramble that includes bacon and cheese, and 2 pieces of bacon, all for $6. It is like the perfect order that I would create. Only thing about this special menu is that you cannot make any changes or substitutions to the order, which is a key advantage to ordering at Denny's. Nevertheless, without the ability to customize, it is a well thought out combo dish. The cheese bread was the only disappointment. It was essentially eggs inside the hole of a cheese bagel. I found the bread to be too dense, and there was just simply too much of it. Other than that, the plate was on point. I got a side order of sausage links, which is completely necessary in any case. Service was good, waitress was very nice and accommodating. Will be back. read more
