I stopped by on a busy sunday morning with a friend but even then we were taken care of right away. The food was delicious and the employees treated us great! Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Cleanliness 5/5 Prices 5/5

Service was good. I just didn't like the food. I got a hot tea, which was good. The corned beef hash was just disappointing. It was made from a can, I believe. Not a fresh corned beef. It was like something I use to eat when my family was poor. The fruit was good at least. It's an old style looking diner. I don't think I'll come back. I thought I use to like eating at Pegah's. I remember the Escondido one wasn't too bad.

Definitely a hidden gem, this spot needs to be the next breakfast go to! Entering this establishment I feel the great sense of nostalgia, growing up always getting breakfast with family on those Saturday mornings! You get greeted by anyone near the door and it is self seating. The waitress was very sweet and got our orders in fast! We both opted for Country fries steak, a stable breakfast option. Came out beautifully, I would ask for crisper hash browns but other than that amazing meal. "Old Fashioned Waffle" was interesting but I will continue to pick those Belgium waffles!

LOVE this place!!! We have been coming here every Sunday for 4 years and always enjoy our food, service but especially love the people that work here! Sashka, absolutely the BEST server anywhere we go. Fun, fast, professional and just an all round great person. Alfonso is the hardest working dude for sure and always with a big smile. Sarah is the friendly and welcoming owner that brings this bunch together for our dining enjoyment. Shout out to Joanna and the other workers all keeping customers happy. There's a reason we keep coming back, try it and you'll understand why!

So disgusting to see this after we had eaten. Worker notified the owner but she never came up to us to tell us anything. Never coming back. There is also a tall lady with glasses that is very rude.

    Country Fried Steak and Eggs

Came here after the gym with some friends. Breakfast has huge portions at a reasonable price. The Eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly with running yolk on the bacon and English muffin. The hash browns were also lightly crispy. The country fried egg entree was rich in protein. The potato texture was firm on the outside and soft on the inside. The waiter was so friendly and smiley. He came over to chat with us and made us feel welcome. I loved the family/homey ambiance. My friends and I had a good time.

Delicious spot if you live in the area. They have breakfast and lunch so your set if you wanna grab a quick bite. I stopped in for lunch and could sit anywhere. Got a bowl of chili and their club sandwich. Chili was perfect with some cheese and onions. Classic club is always a favorite of mine. Theirs is tip top and the fries were crispy/tasty. I'll definitely be coming back to try more things. I can only imagine the breakfast foods are good too. Plenty of parking by the 7/11 and the staff are quick to get your order in. If you like old school diners you'll dig it.

Overall a good solid café/greasy spoon type of place. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was all solid. I'd say for most of the food it was equal to about what I can cook at home (without having to do all the work haha). The biscuits are the exception - very good, large, square biscuits which are flakey and seasoned nicely. The gravy needed more pepper and seasoning to us, but once added it was fairly good gravy. Basically, I'd come here again if I was looking for an easy, casual, breakfast but don't bring your "best breakfast ever" expectations ... otherwise I fear you may be disappointed.

    California Benedict
    Sandy N.

Came here on a Sunday morning and ordered California Benedict and Country Fried Steak and Eggs. I wasn't a huge fan of the California Benedict because of the slice of tomato. Felt like it was just added in there randomly. The tomato was also tangy and overpowered the whole entire Benedict making the other ingredients very bland. Avocado was fresh. Really love how they give you a good portion of it. Eggs were cooked to perfection. Fruits were fresh, clean and sweet. For the country fried steak, it wasn't really a steak. It was more like some beef were packed together and fried in a steak form. The gravy sauce was delicious at first, but it got heavy after the third or fourth bite. Really enjoyed the eggs and the potatoes were good. Server was great. She was attentive and made sure our water was filled. For the restroom, you'll have to go through the kitchen to get there. Parking wasn't bad since its part of a plaza. Other than that, I just feel like it was an okay breakfast place that gives out generous portion.

First off, Im 100% sure the owner here uses ChatGPT to answer all negative yelp reviews. Any business owner worth their weight is able to think for themselves and use their brain to answer unless they're completely illiterate or too incompetent to think of a good response. Second off, are they even a brewery? I see cans and taps of their own beer, but looking into the business, I dont think they own a brewery at all. This is more along the lines of a taphouse/pub. THAT BEING SAID, the food is quite nice. I think the pizza is great and it feels like they make and roll their own dough which is respectable and ambitious for a random little spot like this. But It is quiet...too quiet. The beer tender would constantly hangout at the handicap table talking to any co-worker with free time on their hands for a long time. Seems like a cushy job honestly. She said it was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. From that first pasta, I tried the March Month Special, I got the chopped cheese with no cheese (lactose intolerant) but man did I devour it so fast!! There tater tots never miss btw ALWAYS crispy. Con : questionable bbq without identity. Came here on some recommendation from local folks for bbq, was quite unexpected. Its better than the chain or larger outfits in Esco but that's not saying much. 1. Chicken and ribs plate, with potato salad side. - Potato is a Carolina style, creamy with herbs and not salty, enjoyed it. - Toast was perfect, good crunch but not overwhelming. - Chicken was lightly smoked, crispy skin and still moist, the highlight protein of the meal. - Ribs - the trim was baby back, fall off the bone in a bad way, it was just a boiled mess that had bbq sauce on the ribs. The bartender said it was smoked, but there is no smoke ring, just like the chicken or brisket. Avoid. 2. Brisket. Oh boy, this is where everything fell apart. - USDA prime, cool. But they didnt trim it well, the point was a mess. - sucker came out covered in sauce. After I asked what smoking style is it, after some redirect, he said Texas. If you serve central, north, or east Texan bbq, you will get chased out of town. This is some Kansas City style at best. - bbq sauce is some kind of Memphis brand with a lot of brown sugar, watery. - asked for mixed point and flat, was told have to pick one. Ordered point, came out flat. Bartender went back to kitchen to get me some point. Told me this is the first cut of the brisket for dinner service at 430pm. - flat was dry, painfully dey, was told there is no wrap, I could see no smoke ring and there was no inject or enough rub. The rule with bbq is no rub equals no bark, no bark equals no flavor. This place is betting on the bbq sauce to cover up the meat quality. I can't imagine how this hunk of meat will be by 9 pm. - point was a bit burnt, some foil would of deflected the heat source. The restaurant didnt want to waste trimming so trimming was minimal if any. 50% was edible with all the fat. Covered in sauce. - price - 42 USD. I say its reasonable price from just food cost, payroll, and rent. Overall the plating presentation was nice. Bartender brought me vinegar based bbq - south Carolina style with a little kick in spice. Quite a delight with the chicken. Its not as sour as the stuff around Carolinas that I had. If you check out my other reviews of bbq in SD, I usually quote "its easy to have a bbq place in San Diego since the people here have no clue what is good BBQ". This isnt as bad as Felix or Mike's, but its not Heritage (Oceanside) or Grand Olde BBQ (North Park), this is a local restaurant that pretends to serve BBQ. Would come back to try non bbq food, support your local business!

But we ordered from that menu. We ordered the fried plantain that came with a sauce and cilantro, sausage and pepper soup, and the BBQ pork. I enjoyed everything except for the plantain. They were basically a huge disc that was slightly crunchy. I was not expecting that since if I want a crunchy plantain, I will eat actual plantain chips. The soup was fantastic! It was a bit spicy but not overwhelming and full of flavor. Wish I ordered a bowl instead of a cup. And last but not least, the BBQ pork was very good. Served on lettuce as well, so if you are doing keto you can omit eating the tortillas that came with the dish. It also had pickled red onions and a salsa. The salsa was mild and with everything in the taco, flavors were balanced. We also ordered 6 Cajun wings. But today, they didn't seem as flavorful, a pity really. A grilled cheese was ordered but with hamburger meat inside. That seemed good and it came with fries.
