Elements of the greasy spoons back there combined with the same fan blades and lighting fixtures at my grandparents house. I got a simple meal: veggie omelette with hashbrowns and toast. And it was good. Nothing spectacular but that's not what you're coming here for anyway. You come here for the breakfast basics and they do basic well. Saw someone else complain about needing coffee refills but we felt well-attended to. Maybe it helps that we were sitting in a central table instead of the booths on the outskirts. I will be returning.

Now they've moved to a bigger location? If they couldn't manage the turnaround time in the smaller space, I'm not sure how a bigger restaurant is going to improve things. Hopefully the bigger location also comes with better staffing and a more efficient system, because the food isn't the issue - the wait is.

We were seated quickly by a very friendly waiter who swiftly brought us drinks. I ordered a grilled turkey sandwich which was good, and served with a ton of french fries. They brought ranch on the side which was just ok- kind of flavorless. My husband had the Egg Benedict (which he always gets) and he said it was just ok. The sauce was kind of bland, and unfortunately that's what makes a good EB. The hash browns were also a little overcooked and had lots of brown pieces. The final straw for me was the ants climbing up the wall near our corner booth. I wanted to love this local spot but it was just ok, and I probably wouldn't return. Service was great though and everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant had a good amount of customers though and appears to be a popular local dining spot.

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of ordering a salad. I got the Greek Tavern Salad, which doesn't come with meat, so you have to pay extra to add chicken. The chicken was very dry and flavorless and in a big chunk on top of the salad. The tomatoes and green peppers were also in really big pieces, so I really wish I'd been given a better knife to cut everything up. I also wish the salad had a better Mediterranean-style dressing and more feta. I ended up leaving most of it behind. The other thing that really bothered me was that they started deep cleaning the restaurant around 9pm, even though they're open until 10pm. They were fully mopping and stacking chairs around us, which made us feel like we were being rushed out. I actually asked when they closed, and they said 10pm--it was barely 9pm at that point! Who wants to smell cleaning chemicals and have furniture being stacked around them while they're still eating? The decor is cute and the restaurant has a lot of character, but unfortunately the food and the way the evening ended probably means I won't be back.

Kid #2- Biscuits and gravy - such delicious sage! We all had some and it was perfect. Kid #3 only wanted sourdough toast, and it was exactly what it should be. Maryland potato casserole- I had asked before ordering if they were large potato chunks (yes), so I knew what to expect. Our waitress let me know I could sub since it was a slow Wednesday morning, but I wanted to try it as nature intended. The ingredients were magic and very well cooked. I just don't like large chunks of potato and never will. The toppings (bacon/mushroom/spinach/onion/hollandaise/Swiss) were perfect and plentiful! Service- exceptional! From treating my kids like humans to accommodating us with an extra plate 'just in case', it was fantastic from start to finish. She knew I was unsure about the potatoes and even followed up to ask if I wanted it remade, which I absolutely did not because there was nothing off at all except my large-chunked-potato-aversion. I wish I could remember her name because she was awesome! Even the other staff nearby were friendly. Good vibes all around! Price - it's not cheap, but it shouldn't be with the quality of ingredients. I am so very tired of paying $100 for a family breakfast that I could make better at home. The bacon was crispy, the egg was medium and wasn't too runny, and the brioche bread was a little sweet and fluffy. They use angus beef for their patties. You can also split your fries which I love! I got to try the onion rings and sweet potato fries. I wish the sweet potato fries were crispy. They were more on the soggy side. The onion rings batter was a lil thicker than I like. The batter overpowered the onion. We also got the Cajun wings to try which was nice and crispy! They give you a few sauces on the side so you can dip it. I got the ranch which was so good with the wings, fries and burger. The milkshakes are pretty delicious! We got the classic vanilla one. It was a pretty thick shake so you know they use legit ice cream! I also liked the peach lemonade. I would check this place out if you're in the area!
