I work for Racker Center in residential with individuals with disabilities. I walked in to see if they were able to accommodate a coworker of mine, along with 4 of our individuals we take care of. They were very fast to put a table together where we could dine comfortably. One of my individuals needed her meal to be processed, and they were very kind to allow me to utilize an outlet to be able to process her food. Our server, Tatyanna was very attentive. Along with a couple other servers, Heather and KellyAnn. The manager, Miguel was also very attentive with making sure we were doing well and making sure we had everything we need. The food was delicious and the service was fairly prompt, especially with how busy the restaurant was. When it came to cashing out, the hostess, Kely was very patient and nice, especially having to pay for 5 individual checks. Our folks enjoyed their lunch very much!!! But everyone didn't seem to give a shit and when I complained they thought a simple sorry would do. But I did get a 20% discount which in turn I gave to the waitress, only because she was the only one who seemed to care. One star to her...and only her. read more

There was a bug hopping around in the eggs in my girlfriends plate. Yeah.. Awesome. The coffee tasted like it had been sitting around all day. And my skillet contained food that was burnt. Charred potatoes.. Yummy! The waitress was very nice about it. The manager, however, seemed like he couldn't care less. He acted like he was doing us a favor by reducing our bill. Came here again. The food was fantastic this time. Everything cooked just right. Service was fine. So much better than before!

Slowest Denny's on the East Coast. My husband and I stopped here for what was supposed to be a quick stop for lunch on a long drive. We waited at least 45 minutes after ordering and complained twice before we got our food. When they finally brought our food, they forgot my side salad and all of the toppings and sauces on my husband's burger. The waitress ended up taking it back to the kitchen to get fixed. They also brought a knife with his burger that was rusted over and had fingerprints on it. Thankfully, he didn't need to use it. The manager did come over to apologize and offered us a discount for the wait and his burger. I would have preferred timely service. read more

The food was very good and the service was friendly and fast. The Hobbit breakfast special was a good choice.

My wife and I went there once after it opened and won't be going back. Food was so-so, ambience was blah, service was so-so, just overall nothing to recommend it. LATER EDIT: upped from two stars to three since it apparently changed management teams and we heard about that and went back and it was a definite improvement but still nothing to write home about. read more

I don't know were some of these people are eating! The Cortland, NY Denny's is great, food is always good, as well as the service! The only time it took to long to get our food is when they're busy. We eat here 3 to 4 times a week, Amanda is one of the good server there. read more

Excellent food. Awful service. Waited 30 minutes for my pickup order, was asked what I needed, and then waited another 5 minutes for the host to seat the gentlemen behind me. It wasn't all that busy, and I'm sure if the place was properly staffed I wouldn't have had this problem. read more

Since visiting NY this is my 1st 5 star!! Seriously disappointed in the food and service here! HOWEVER, this Denny's in small town upstate Cortland turned our food diversions away and stepped up!! I ordered the cinnamon pancake breakfast and holy cow it was DELISH! My husband finally got some decent French toast and we left full and happy! Our waitress was awesome! This location of Denny's is absolutely horrible. The staff lacks any enthusiasm and is completely oblivious to what is going on around them. Came in and waited to be seated only to be ignored. That sat the individuals that came in after us and another couple first. Pure ignorance. To top it off the place looked filthy at least in the entrance area (obviously did not stay). The waitress we had was rude. My sister in law's roll had mold on it. When we received the bill we were over charged for a soda. We asked for credit and if we were getting any compensation for the moldy roll and they gave $4.00 credit. My sister in law had to sit and eat her meal by herself since they had to make her a whole new one, and all they would give is $4.00??? Bad customer service! I do not suggest eating here. this place is a joke lol the people who walked in with us, another couple, got seated and their order taken. meanwhile my girlfriend and i were sat, asked what we wanted to drink and then the waiter left. he brought us our drinks and said he would be back to take our order. 10-15 mins later the couple who had come in with us had gotten their food and started eating. another 20 mins goes by before we even got our order in. multiple people who came in before us received their food and placed orders before we got the chance. no tip for that guy. read more

Its what you expect for Denny's. Decent food at a decent price. We were in and out pretty fast and the waitress was super nice. Had the Mushroom Swiss Burger here and I can recommend it especially if you go with the onion rings over fries. read more

denny's in cortland was horrible . the service was horrible this place deserves no stars . the food even worse. they forgot to bring out some of the food that came with the meal. then after we were done with the meal they told us do u want the bread or hashbrowns that went with that meal. dont waste ur time eating there. read more

I was not satisfied with this Denny's at all. I asked for a vegetarian option of one of there skillets. After I got the food I started to eat it. After about 10 minutes of eating the food I realized that there was sausage in the skillet. When I asked the server why there was meat in my food when I had specified that i was a vegetarian, they were rude and inconsiderate to the fact that I did not eat meat. I do not recommend ever going to this Denny's, or any Denny's at all. read more

Went to Denny's around 8pm on a Sunday. It was a slow day but the service was great. My waitress was very kind and caring, it didn't take a long time for my party to get our drinks and food. They used to be really good. But now when you order the create your own sampler...extremely stingy and burnt, same with fries with a burger stingy. the past 4 times we've gone it just gets worse and worse. we took our parent to dinner the last time, my mother ordered a steak sandwich of sorts and got chicken, I ordered side of mushrooms, got none and was still charged, my fiancé and I both got a burger meal (different) Barely any fries and all burnt, we ordered 2 create your own samplers and they were both skimpy, burnt, and differed from the way we usually order (sauces right on top instead of on side) my salad had nothing in it really, took a very long time for our food (and they weren't busy, they seated us next to a cold door when there was plenty of seating, and we couldn't get refills on drinks or any napkins because servers wouldn't come our way. the host @ front greeting people was are only luck that day. We stopped here last night around 6pm on our way back home from vacation with our family. When we walked in we waited about 5-10 minutes but nobody came to seat us. There was no "please wait to be seated" sign so we just assumed that it was seat yourself. Once we sat down we heard a rude loud remark from a waiter "I guess people are just seating themselves now". We felt bad, we did not realize that we were supposed to wait and we're going to apologize to our server. However after 30 Minutes nobody came to our table, they seated 3 other tables that came in after we did and served them drinks and got their orders. The staff refused to acknowledge us. So we left and went next door to Taco Bell where the staff were much friendlier. We did not mean to offend them and were willing to say we were sorry that we went ahead and picked a table but there was nobody to greet us at the door and there were only maybe 5 tables full at the restaurant, not busy enough that someone couldn't have helped us within 5-10 minutes. read more
