As we ordered our drinks SARAH! went to the back and asked if anyone has helped us and one of the girls says "No, but I saw them." As if they saw us but didn't find it necessary to come help us or ask for drinks & then Sarah goes to the back again and calls us "impatient" and then gives an excuse that she wanted to "rush the new girl" to help us that's why she told her we were being impatient. Fucking stupid excuse for that behavior. If you don't want to wait on tables then you shouldn't work there. But after we let the managers know and they made sure we had a better experience which I appreciate. read more

This location of Denny's is so much better so far! The manager Roxanne was extremely nice, politely talked to me and my Grandmother with a smile, and had a wonderful conversation as she seated us to our table! Then, she had our best waitress, Janet, served us with her best service to us with her best personality, her great smile, and she was definitely on point by kept making sure we needed anything! She was so incredible, extremely sweet, and she did such a marvelous job that I highly recommend everybody that's hungry to go to this restaurant, and have Janet be your waitress for her satisfied service! She makes me want to go back and have her be my waitress again! She deserves a big shoutout! The service here with the Dulce De Leche Crunch Pancake breakfast was extremely out of this world that I leave them with ! :) read more

We went to this Denny's for the first time last week. When we entered we were greeted right away and also seated right away at a clean table with menus in hand. The restaurant was not real busy but had at lease 20 customers. It was clean and looked inviting. The person that greeted us was very outgoing and personable. She took our drink order and returned promptly. Upon returning she took our order right away. Our food was made quick and brought to our table as soon as it was up. When our food arrived it smelled good, looked good and tasted yummy. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant. Great job. read more

I have gotten the "all you can eat pancakes" and I ate the first three ( bc I'm a fatass) and so I asked for two more bc it's all you can eat. AND I HAVE BEEN WAITING 30 MINUTES AND I STILL HAVE NOT GOT IT. I ADVISE YOU TO NOT COME TO THE DENNYS OFF OF CALIFORNIA AND ONTARIO.. The waitress approach me with a big smile, she was so polite. She took our order right away. The breakfast was delicious.

Time and again this Denny's location has let me down. The service is downright awful. Every single time I have visited this establishment, I have been faced by many issues that I will now list: -Waitresses usually have an incompetent attitude. -Water is never refilled. -The food I receive is often different from what I ordered, often drastically. (i.e.: A friend of mine asked for 4 bacon instead of 2 bacon and 2 sausages with her french toast slam, and received 4 sausages; Another friend of mine found a mystery onion in her pancakes.) -I often wait an hour or more for my meal. -The syrup bottles are inadequate for pouring syrup. (See picture) -On my last visit, my party received all of our food, and then received silverware about five minutes after. Our food was cold. -A table behind us remained uncleared for our entire visit. -Where are the napkins? My hands are greasy. -The bathrooms are repugnant. In conclusion, I am appalled by the disrespect, bluntness, discourtesy, impertinence, and vulgarity I've been faced by the the employees of this establishment. read more

Denny's - It takes way too long to pour out the syrup!! - American Near Me - Corona, California

Got there and they didn't seem busy. It took a while to get our shakes then came dinner... My sibling wanted the jr. grand slam with eggs and he received hash browns instead. My sister wanted a plain salad, just lettuce and ranch. This salad had other veggies in it which seemed to be a pre-made salad, which would've been nice to know before hand. Both of the kids pancakes were burnt and crunchy with no syrup on the side. My fiancé and I ordered another shake and it took forever to get the second one. When we got the second shake, it was in our cup from earlier. We didn't get a clean cup which grossed us out because how do we know it was our cup and not someone else's? We did not drink the shake. Last but least, our server did not check on us and did not give us the kids eat free deal on Saturday night. She had to "check with the manager"; there was a big sign right when you enter. Were they trying to cheat us to see if we noticed?? Not cool. It shows that you guys were cheating us and probably trying to cheat the older folks in the restaurant with their grandchildren as well. Stopped by this morning for a coffee and a stack of pancakes. My waitress Mayra was very sweet, fast and kept the coffee refills coming. Despite being the only waitress covering the floor at that moment she was very attentive with everyone of her customers and kept a smile on her face. She's the reason I come to this Denny's. I wish I can give 0 stars that's how bad our experience was! My best friend and i go and everything is fine at first. Get our appetizer (but she forgot to get us marinara and ranch) and drinks and when our waitress asks my best friend if she wants a refill she is gone for like 20 minutes and it takes me to get a different waitress to ask for a refill and our sauces. Than when she took our order she put it in as to go and it had been sitting in the front for a while and they were gonna serve it to us after it had been sitting out for like 20 minutes. We got the check and just left and they didn't even care to ask what the problem was! Like they didn't even Fuckin care! Worse experience ever! Very mad and disappointed ! There are some of us that are called "regulars", meaning we come here often. I see the same grandparents bringing their grandchildren, retired people spending time drinking coffee and reading their books, doctors getting out of their shifts, construction workers and students from the local high schools coming in day in and day out. As much as I go there (6x/week) I have never experienced any rudeness, inattentiveness or disrespect from anyone there. As a matter of fact my family is shown nothing but kindness especially from one of our favorite waitresses, Mallory. I have seen many managers, waitresses/waiters and busboys come and go throughout the years but some of the Yelp comments I have read, especially the negative ones, seem very abnormal to me. The fact that these people are here to serve us doesn't mean we need to treat them with disrespect and that's what I have seen over the years at this place. People walk in with bad attitudes or wanting free food and take it out on the people trying to serve them. I've been coming here since the doors opened and not once have I had any complaints about the team at Denny's. Has my food been perfect every time? No, but mistakes happen and they correct it every time without hassle or moans. I gladly rate this Denny's with 5 stars and I wish I could rate some of the people that come in...because I would rate them with zero stars. Keep up the great work Denny's...! read more

Terrible experience. I usually enjoy going to my local Dennys for some food when I'm in the mood for something delicious. The food I received tonight was great. But the service I received was anything but. I placed a very large to go order for my food and suaces and once I went to pick up my order I noticed that the sauces that I requested were not adequate enough to go with my large order so I politely asked the manager on duty Roxanne Jimenez for some extra sauce. But instead of a simple yes of course let me help you, no I received attitude from her and her rolling her eyes at me as if I was asking for an entire new order of food. Once she finally decided to go and get the sauce she only gave me miniumal sauce and even once I thanked her she didn't even reply how rude of a reaponse from a general manager. read more

Food may be adequate but there is obviously a coffee shortage in Corona. Getting coffee refills was like pulling teeth. Once the meals got there, service was over. When i walked in the host told me "wait " and not greeting me then got a to go order which i was fine with because she was ahead of me. She came back and i already stood by the door waiting 5 minutes and then a group came up before she came back and she helped them first. When she finally seated me and my daughter, another two party guest was sat next to us and we already were seated for a few minutes. The host went up to them first because the waitress was busy and asked them for drinks first and ignored that fact i was even here. Very poor service today. My friends and I came into Dennys today and Briana our server did a great job. She checked in on us so often and made sure we were always satisfied. Also the manager Alyssa took some time to check in with us and all the other tables around us. Great servers and Managers at this location. read more

My favorite dish is there club sand which with seasoned fries. However, there server Juana is amazing which makes it a plus. She provides each guest with a warm smile and makes us feel right at home. 05/24/2017 at 1am on my way home from work tried calling to place a pick up order... hence the work tried. After 3 attempts of no one picking up the phone, I assumed they must have been so busy running around dealing with there tables. In correct. I called as I walked in to make sure I had the right number, I did. One girl working, and one table. The young girl was very nice. She came out from the back to greet me and take my order. As I sat waiting I hear the phone ringing and no one to pick it up. Maybe they need to put the ringer on loud or get a new phone. I'm a nurse and just got off a long shift, now to wait even longer when all of this could have been prevented by just picking up the phone... it's the little things that matter the most. 3 starts for the girl being nice and the food came out quick. read more

This was the 3rd time I have visited this location and the last time I do. It did not take long for them to seat me but it took about 15 mins to get my drink order. I ordered what i wanted to eat while i ordered my drink and my salad still came to me late. My avocado chicken Cesar salad was not as appetizing as the picture. My bacon came out super greasy, barely any chicken, and they forgot my dressing. I got my food, still no drink. It wasn't busy at all at this location around 10pm. I do not recommend coming to this location. Bad service with bad food I could barely eat. read more

I really didn't appreciate the management at this location when I went in on Monday 5/30/17. I was eating with my family and noticed that some plates broke in front of the restaurant manager. Mind you, the brush and dust pan was right next to her. She goes and pulls one of the bus boys from the other side of the restaurant to drop what he's doing and clean the mess as she watched. The bus boy had a great attitude though kudos to him. He was busting his ass in there but he did it with a smile on his face so I asked the cashier his name and she said it was Joseph. I come here about once a month for breakfast. The staff is always friendly. Meals are reasonably priced. Food is served quickly, with quality. The staff always seems to go out of their way to surprise and delight the customer. Taking a coffee to go is never a problem. Great family atmosphere or if your working on the go bring in a laptop and connect to the wi-fi. They never have any issue. I am a fan of Denny's in general. They've got a great business where food and service quality are consistent across their fleet of restaurants. read more

To the comment below and not to agree with either but I think it's fine cooks listen to music, any music of their choice excluding cursing or just yelling. They are busting their butts to please every customer to hopefully enjoy their food. Maybe just a little lower would be appropriate but not be completely removed from allowing them to listen. My family and I have been enjoying this Dennys location every Sunday for the past several years. I am a very observant costumer especially when it comes to the handling of costumers food. Hygiene is very important, as far as the waiters and waitresses and cooks go. It is their responsibility to ensure their hair is up, uniform is presentable etc. Today was slightly different. Each time I come in i notice this one particular waitress working really hard and going above and beyond to ensure her costumers are taken care of. What threw me off were her long colorful nails. If nails like that are allowed to be worn while handling food, I recommend she wears gloves. The hands are exposed to plenty germs and bacteria, and as customers we've excepted that by the assumption that those who are handling the food are keeping their hands clean. Nails that are nearly touching the food or even hovering over the food is not a good practice in the waitressing field. Other than that keep up the good work. And good job on professionally handling the small disturbance this morning. read more

This is usually the Denny's I visit with my parents, its local and close to where they live. The pros of this place are that it has plenty of parking, we sat down quickly (but we had a small party), and our waitress was nice. I would say the downfalls are that the food took a little longer than expected, we also had three of our four dishes first and about four minutes went by, maybe 5, before the last dish came out. The food was what you can expect for Denny's, and the waitress only checked in on us once after we received our food and she dropped off our milk. It's a Denny's guys, if its local, have it. I do have to say that they must have remodeled or something because it's really nice inside. read more

Really disappointed with restaurant 7715, 2379 Compton Ave, Corona, CA. This is the second time I go back. I went back because I bought a fundraiser card and I had to use two coupons. Unfortunately this second time the Manager Alexis decided to question the coupon and not in a nice way, including not honoring it. Very unprofesional and rude. It seems she did not know how to apply the discount because the first time around the cashier did not have any challenges to apply the discount. I wonder what kind of training they receive? I wonder if this is why I stopped going for a long time and why the restaurant seem dead when my son I were there. Not to mention that the server decided to add additional fees to my receipt, he charge each item seperately in the mean when if he would had charge the meal the check would have been correct. Are employees now trained to charge more to make up for the losses the company is having? I will be adding the response I receive from Dennys to show what the company is really abou and I hope its better than the response I got from the Manager Alexis. Stay tunned. read more

The worst restaurant I've ever seen. Arriving late night, our party of 8 was seated immediately. In relatively short order our drink orders were taken. That's the end of the good part of this review. 25 minutes later we still had not been asked for our food orders much less for refill on our drinks. Finally the waitress arrived and told us that she'd be right back with us to take our order. 15 minutes later, I had to chase her down on the other side of the restaurant to let her know we were still waiting. She was taking someone else's order, so I complained a bit. She snapped at me and told me she'd be right there. I asked for a manager and was informed that there wasn't one. In the meantime, back near our table, several other people had been seated and given their orders. When she finally arrived to take our order I was so disgusted I did not order anything. The rest of our party ordered however. When the first of our food finally arrived (one plate a full 5 minutes before any of the others), we still did not have any silverware. After the second dish arrived, I complained about the lack of silverware and that our food was coming out in bits and pieces. She again snapped at me. Finally the last of our food arrived; still no silverware. The bus girl eventually arrived with silverware, bawling. My only assumption is that the waitress had chewed her out for not having the silverware at our table. As my party began to eat, several people complained that their order was not correct. At this point no one was really willing complain any further; they just lived with what they got. To top this all off, I went into the restroom to find a young man vomiting in the sink. When we left, I once again visited the restroom; the sink was completely full of vomit and not one thing was being done about it. There is only one way to sum up our experience: ABSOLUTE INCOMPETENCE.. Incompetent waitress, management (at least due to lack of it), and most probably ownership. No one expects Denny's to be spectacular. However, we should expect an effort at service and at least some level of professionality. The amateurism displayed by the staff at this Denny's made this the worst dining experience of my life. I urge everyone to boycott this location. read more

It's the closest Denny's to my house, about 15 seconds driving distance, and I'm usually never there anytime before 10 PM. I feel weird eating at any Denny's when the sun is still out. I'm a bit of a night owl and people from Corona would know that as far as late night dining is concerned, our options are very limited. I'd estimate that I've been here about 30+ times, and usually the service is pretty good. Like I said, I'm here late at night when the restaurant is almost empty, so that might have something to do with it. I think they've probably screwed my order up once or twice, but I can't really remember any specifics so I doubt they were huge mistakes. It's a typical Denny's that I've frequented over the past 15+ years and it's always come in clutch. read more

It seems to me that Denny's is going DOWN hill. I use to love coming here but recently it doesn't matter what Denny's you go to they all seem to be lacking good service. Waiters/waitress's get orders wrong, or it takes forever for your food to come out. No one seems to care anymore. No one is friendly in this particular Denny's. Seems like the employees are there to hang out instead of work. I guess this is the new generation of kids. They only care about their social status. Please I hope someone from Denny's reads these. I find it sad that my first Yelp review will go toward a terrible restaurant experience, but there's no other way to describe it. Our server didn't look thrilled to see us as we walked in the door. When we sat down we were warned service would be slow because she was the only server there. So we waited. Then we started looking around. Everyone seated in the dining room was waiting. No one was eating anything. Nothing was coming out of the kitchen. The server was hidden in the back for the twenty minutes we sat there. The man I assume was the manager didn't take a single order or bus a single table despite being as short staffed as was claimed. We left without even our drink order being taken, along with at least four other tables. Not planning on going back. read more
