To start....I have worked in this industry in the past. So here we are. Horrible counter service. Server pointing at people and asking what they are drinking. No refill offered on coffee or checking in to see what else we may or may not need. We are sitting at the counter! It's too easy. Printed receipt and placed in front of me after we ordered food. Manager has no control. Front checkout person has a line out the door and puttimg people on a list when there are so many open tables. Seems to be enough staff but nothing is organized. One woman manager yelling at staff behind counter. Thinking of getting up and leaving right now. Can not wait to get out of here and definitely will NOT return. Such a disgrace. And to finish this review: our food sat at the pass for over 12 minutes. If I could leave zero stars, I would. read more

If I could give it NO stars, I would. Disappointed with everything. We weren't greeted, the workers looked grumpy. When we were finally seated, it took a while to get our drinks or orders, while others around us, people who came after us, got theirs first. Our drinks were ordered, water and coffee for me and the cup was stained, like it hadn't been rinsed. When our food came, we weren't given utensils. We asked the waiter multiple times and he said he'll get to us. I finally got up and went to the bar and asked for utensils. The heavy set lady up there had an attitude and said she'll get it once it's wrapped. They didn't have any ready. So we sat there until we finally were given utensils...and they weren't clean!! had breakfast this morning before leaving cocoa beach for orlando with a total of 6 people. the host was rude and not pleasant at all. please and thank you doesn't hurt to say when your guests enter and leave. the place had a horrible smell like the cleaning supplies used is only stale water. the rug needs to be replaced ASAP. i gave two stars because the only positive note i can say is that my server was pleasant and the food was surprisingly good. Lady servicing us was of oriental descent I complained that I didn't like that my option for orange juice in size was large she shrugged her shoulders and said I don't know I just work here . One of the worst responses you. Could give a paying customer. When I just respond that it was not a good response to my complaint. She added I will not lie. Told her your response should be I convey your concern to my manager. Again shrugged her shoulder this means she doesn't care. read more

Wow!!!!! This place was so stinky as soon as we walked in. It smelled like dirty dish towels. Very unkempt and food caked underneath the condiment holder. We didn't even stay to eat. Went down the street to another breakfast place and glad we did! Gives Denny's bad name! read more

Walked in here with some friends hoping to get a good meal but as soon as we entered the premises, we were disgusted. I will start off by saying I am only giving this a 1 star due to the friendly staff. We came here out of convenience as we were walking. The food was ok. However the waiting not only to be seated but to pay your bill is unacceptable. On our visit the Manager on duty was just talking and moving a few chairs. Seriously help your staff with seating patrons and handling the register. Now we understand the low reviews. First thing to change, start at the top. We were shocked that this Denny's was so empty after all the restaurants nearby were packed after going in we realized why. The hostess Tammy clearly eyes wide open and seemed agitated was unable to handle the few guests that were there when she saw that we had a baby she did everything she could to avoid us. It is difficult giving this restaurant one star. In my volunteer work, I have seen homeless shelters cleaner. Arriving early in the morning, the bathroom was so dirty I was afraid I was going to catch a disease. Garbage all over the floor. There was no toilet paper and I used a paper towel from a roll nearby. The rest of the place was equally dirty and I was afraid of ordering tainted food. This location was terrible. We were greeted by unfriendly staff and a long wait. Once seated we ordered immediately but it took 15 minutes to even get drinks. Our server was inattentive and unapologetic. We were missing basic things like straws and silverware. Once we did get our food after about 45 minutes it was luke warm, undercooked and disappointing. This is probably the worst dining experience I've ever had. read more

I really don't understand the other bad reviews on here. I've been here twice now, and both times were excellent!!! :-)! We had 2 different servers too - both good and kind and quick service. What can you possible write about a Denny's? Food was ok, they did not have the pancake special I have had at other locations(Where you pick your mix in and topping). Not sure if the promo is over or this location did not have it. Water had an aftertaste and so did the soda drinks. Place was not as clean as it should be and service was poor. A waitress from another table kept screaming at the kitchen to make sausage or something like that(forgot sorry). Until I guess they finally made it and then she came back and yelled that they did not want it anymore. The fact that other diners had to hear that exchange was trashy. Our food was drenched in grease/oil. I ordered egg whites and even they were drenched in grease. If we had a car, we'd be over at the Waffle House (best coffee in the US), but alas we stayed at the Hilton and this was the only place within walking distance. read more

Awesome breakfast! My boyfriend and I had the moons over my hammy and the grand slamwich both where amazing! The hash browns where crispy on top and soft in the middle. Both of our plates looked like they just came straight from a food photo shoot lol. The gentleman that made our food was new but kudos to him because our breakfast was amazing. I wish I had read the reviews before we came but we assumed since it was Denny's we'd be fine. Unfortunately you know what happens when you assume! The empty parking lot at 5:30 should have been our first clue. The un-bussed tables was another clue. Our party of 7 was seated promptly but that was the only thing that was prompt. Once we finally did receive our food we had to ask for silverware which the waitress never brought - finally my sister got it herself. When we got our check two items were priced incorrectly which we pointed out to the waitress. She told us we were wrong (we weren't and our check was fixed when we paid at the register). Waited a long time for service, then a long long time for food, "two hamburgers and frys". There were about 4 wait staff, 4 people working in the kitchen and about 12 customers. I would give this 0 stars if I could. The restaurant itself is very out of date as compared to other Denny's. However that alone would've been manageable. Our server forgot to put in one of our person's orders, messed up two others, and didn't refill drinks the entire time until reminded multiple times. Even when the food did come, it wasn't great. If your looking for dinner and a show, look no further than Jerry Springer's restaurant... I mean Denny's. From the waitresses fighting and arguing with each other then the manager, I was entertained. Had to ask for silverware three times, before the girl came back and told us she had to go out back and roll it... finally after they found out the manager was not the father(sorry that's Maury not Jerry Springer) we were paying and the waitress checking us out was extremely rude slamming the check on the counter, mind you I had my hand out for her to put it in. Was a hot mess from beginning to end. Seriously, avoid this place like the plague, I ordered boneless wings came out 10 minutes before my wife's and daughters food...were luke warm. Wow this is easily the worst Denny's I've ever been to. I came here on vacation and I honestly feel like everyone here should be fired. It took an hour.... Sat at the bar and the waiter mentioned how he was used to working at fine dining restaurants and therefore couldn't serve me the nasty iceberg lettuce which came with the garden salad and asked if I would be ok with the romaine. Score one for Denny's! Shortly after I saw him and the cook out front smoking. Whoops, Denny's is Denny's after all. Salad, Quesadilla and six Shrimp came to 6 bucks. Who can beat that pricing? Waitress was awesome and was bringing us pitchers of water that were greatly need Neoral 5 sunburnt girls. I ordered the veggies breakfast skillet and it was not the best. The best thing about this dennys is its alot less busy than other breakfast or diners in cocoa beach. On a funny note this dennys was once closed from 10 pm to 6 am for about a year. We've been here for breakfast and diner. For breakfast we had french toast, eggs (sunny side up) and bacon. All was good, french toast was a little to much butter but it was still good. Oh my, what a an amazing place. Cold coffee, disgruntled staff arguing back and forth in front of the customers about who has what section. Then turning to argue with the cook about who's fault a messed up order was. You instantly ask yourself, where is the management? That's easy... At the bar..... The bar where customers could and should be sitting, on the phone gossiping with someone else about other employees that apparently left already. This place is great if you want to see a soap opera unfold in front of your eyes. I pray I survive the after effects of this place. read more
