This is my second attempt to eat at Dennys post covid. This experience was even worse than the last. I understand being short-handed, but then don't seat people using the entire restaurant. So here's what happened.... Ordered food, including coffee. Food showed up more than 30 minutes later after we made an inquiry. My food was partially warm and some of it (bacon!) was COLD! No one came back to the table to check on us...ever! I saw how crowded it was at the front so I took the bull to the front to pay. 20 minutes later (you read that right), it was my turn. I showed my rewards app for my free birthday breakfast on my phone, then showed my husband's. They days they could not honor them both because the QR code is the same. (Separate phones, separate accounts, birthdays two days apart). After what seemed an eternity they agreed to separate the bill but the codes were the same, so the end game would be the same. We decided to just pay for one of the breakfasts just to get out of there. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE experience and both times were attempts to use the rewards program for our birthdays. We arrived at 8 40am on Sat. Had to wait 1 hr 40 mins to get served 1 order of veg omelette and 1 order of banana pancakes. Terrible waiting... A couple of other folks who came after us left , didn't want to wait... Plus after all that wait, the omelette wasn't good at all... Food and service was horrible. The main dinning room has sewerage smell from restrooms not working. Waitterwas handling everything awhile two female employees stood around talking. My experience here was horrible I get off of my vehicle and I go to the door and it was LOCKED!!! The website shows it was open but the door being locked said otherwise Me and my precious babies have been on the road 30 hours. We were STARVING. All we wanted was some fresh food but we couldn't even get that. To find out what was going on I called them. They took over 30 minutes for them to even take our order, not courteous when first come in, disgusting mashed potatoes (mostly liquid and had little flavor) and when ask to switch it for bread instead they took it and never gave us our replacement, didn't give us our silverware till asked, overall horrible experience. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The restroom was messy and there were flies in the toilets. Waited 20 minutes to order drinks AFTER already being seated. Heading back to Southern California from Northern California we stopped off at 11 pm for some food and to get out of the car and stretch from the long drive. This particular Denny's is hiring and is understaffed, in fact there is a notice to let customers know ahead of time. On shift during our visit was 1 server Mr. Usiel and 1 cook. Since there was an accident and road construction on the 5 SB freeway more and more customers were stopping into this Denny's. Mr. Usiel and the cook did an amazing job on the food. We ordered the double berry pancake breakfast served with 2 eggs, hash browns, one piece of bacon and one sausage, and an order of an all American grand slam breakfast with scrambled eggs well done and bacon crispy. Food came out fast, Mr. Usiel was very attentive and the cook did an awesome job on getting our order just right. They both worked as fast as they could under the stressful circumstances while more and more customers continued to come in for a bite to eat. Hats off to the cook on the double berry pancakes they were delicious!! I should've taken a picture of the blueberry pancakes with fresh cut strawberries, bananas and blueberries. These employees stepped up their game and I will definitely make a stop there the next time I am on the 5 freeway. Also the restaurant was clean and bathrooms were clean and stocked. read more

Surprisingly good salmon fillet with broccoli, zucchini and garlic bread. My wife had a perfectly good veggie omelet.

The service Is horrible took an hour and a half to get our food and my omelet did not have toasted bread.DO NOT EAT HERE

If I could give 0 I would, worst service ever! Manager Eva needs to find another occupation, she has a horrible attitude and knows nothing about customer service! She was speaking openly to staff, with a long line of customers waiting, that complaints were being made to her boss, so they needed to seat everyone and TRY to be nice. Then she copped an attitude and was very rude to my husband, the most respectful man ever, so I asked for his money back, which she refused to return! Santa here, Good morning. We have been at this particular Denny's waiting for food for over an hour. We pulled up about 10:15 am. We had just played music in Armona. We do have 51 people. At least half of the customers. However, the manager only put one server on us, when every server should have been on this to get the orders in the system first then handle the rest of the customers. We are getting only one table at a time. He is doing the best he can, I get that. Apparently they sent a server home, ok then the manager gets on an apron and jumps in to help. He may be cooking. Its taken over 1.5 hours to get food and I am on a type schedule. I have a flight to catch. read more

We had such an amazing experience at this place. Chris was our host and waiter and he was so wonderful. Both my kids (under 5 yr) are a bit talkative and Chris connected with them so well and entertained all their questions and conversations. My kids wanted to play with the toy vending machine and before we could react , Chris proactively paid two dollars for their game . It was very kind of him. The food was good too. I arrived at the time they were changing shifts for the evening. They were short staffed. The restroom was horrible. (check out the pictures) The staff went in there couple times but no one clean it up. Customers kept coming in. The waitress was very friendly and polite but was inexperienced. Long wait: more than 15 minutes to take order, another 30 minutes for food. My food finally came without the sides. The portion was 50% smaller than the other Denny's. Don't expect your food looks like the picture on the menu. read more

Fantastic! And I am not just saying that because I was in the mood for breakfast at 4 pm in the middle of nowhere on a holiday and Denny's appeared on the horizon. We were seated and order taken accurately and quickly. Food delivered quickly, hot and fresh. Loaded breakfast sandwich, my hammy and cheese omlet with GF english muffin, and sante fe skillet. On a recent road trip I stopped here around 5 pm. My son was crying and hungry and restless. It was dinner time for both of us. I figured that I could have a quick salad and boo boo could have a pancake. Lord if I had known the wait would have been so terrible I would have went to a fast food place. Denny's is a diner and I thought my son would have a good respite from being confined to a car seat. We looked at the ceilings and decorations and we even made friends with the truckers sitting behind us. I still don't know what the explanation was as to why the service was slow. If I had to guess it was because the back kitchen staff said "F-You" to someone and one dude was just back there cooking as fast as he could. Our order took forever to be taken and our food took forever to arrive. I thought my son would have a fun break. My son has a long attention span and this went past his attention. The table next to me ordered Clam Chowder. I just got grossed out about this. Who orders Clam Chowder at a truck stop Denny's? Gross! Once the food finally arrived after almost 40 minutes, we ate it all in about 5 minutes. I only ordered a Grilled Chicken Breast with a side Salad and Pancake for my son. 40 Minutes? What the F? I always come from a place of understanding as I have worked in customer service before, but I could not excuse it this time. We waited to be seated after 15-20 mins. Okay. No biggie. Then we got a booth no silverware or menus. They brought the menus. Still no silverware. We order our drinks, the coffee was cold. How can we stir our creamers and sugar without spoons or anything?? We ask for spoons, we get literally just soup spoons and the waitress just drops them on the dirty table. Note They aren't wrapped in napkins or anything. I'm thinking fine she just stressed. Then my mom asked for Napkins and the waitress rudely answered. Even my mom was shocked. Then we order our food. We get our food after waiting a while, and surprise it's cold! And some items are incorrect. And we realize she didn't even ask how we wanted our eggs. And we HAVE NO SILVERWARE HOW CAN WE EAT WITHOUT FORKS? We ask for some, she nods and goes to take about 3 tables. orders. At this point we're mad. She never apologized for the wait or cold food or being out of anything. We were kind and polite the entire time despite being disappointed. We go to pay and we charged extra for some things she never mentioned cost extra, but offered without us asking. It's in the middle of nowhere-land. Walked in and picked anywhere to sit since it was dead in there (until about dinner time. That's when the whole town walked in). Ismael waited on us and he was an awesome server. Got the Grand Slam with eggs, sausage, bacon, and pancakes. Everything was cooked great. The bacon could have been a little crispier, but the pancakes made up for it. I could cut them with a fork and of course I drenched them in syrup and butter because I was on vacation. Duh! read more
