We stopped here on our way to Socal on an early Saturday morning. It wasn't too busy and the server came and greeted us immediately. We had the pancake special that was only 8.99 and it was so delicious. Our food came out quick, hot, and fresh. I wasn't too full for discomfort but also so satisfied and energized enough to continue our journey. Their coffee was also really good without creamer which is rare for me. If you're driving through or road tripping, definitely stop here for a nice, quick yet tasty breakfastz

Better food! I just paid $17 dollars on the chicken strip dinner it's terrible! That was not worth $17 dollars what a joke!

Solid breakfast spot! Affordable prices, excellent service, hot coffee, toasted toast, and eggs cooked your way. This spot is sort of hidden in a parking lot, meaning, it is hard to find due to not a lot of signage. Just follow your nose in the parking lot. It is has a local diner feel and signs of route 66 are all over the walls circling the dining room. Very cool. I don't think the restaraunt is on route 66, but, nevermind, I digress. This diner has a great family vibe. My friends and I were staying at the Harris Ranch Inn about 20 minutes away. We wanted to come here and hit a grocery store for poolside supplies, I digress again. Next time I come through here I will try a milkshake, but I recommend this spot for breakfast. Not fancy or stuffy, just a good old fashioned breakfast spot. Plenty of parking in the parking lot. Happy eating!

Came here with a large group and they were able to get us seated quite quickly. I personally ordered a bacon cheeseburger with a side of Mac and cheese. I was kind of surprised when I got the Mac and cheese because I'm pretty sure the Mac and cheese was just the Kraft Mac and cheese you can get from the store. Overall this place was not bad.

Came here for breakfast and lunch. My bf got the impossible breakfast which is definitely shareable. Breakfast is decent. Lunch sandwiches were good, not huge. A lot of food options. Never seems busy. Lots of seating. Service is fine. Plenty of parking.

Food was exactly what was needed after a haul on the fwy. Breakfast for lunch never disappoints, and the steak fajita salad hit the spot.

We had read that they accommodated a lot of RVs and people with U-Haul's, etc., so felt safe staying there for the night. Checked in about 9 PM. Everybody was super helpful. We have our cats with us so we were a little stressed out about how it was going to be, but they made sure that we were comfortable and we were in a really nice, large and clean room. I did think that the property is a little bit dated. They've done a good job with upkeep. The only issue I really had was that when I got out of my car there was a very strong animal smell. I asked at the front desk with that smell was, and they said that it was fertilizer that they applied to the fields that night. It was intense. We got up and we're back on the road by 5 AM. Unfortunately we did not get to try the restaurant although I heard that their steakhouse is excellent. Also, the pool looked really beautiful and clean.

Made a pit stop here at Harris Ranch Resort because we have always been curious about this place…read moreand wanted to eat some steaks from the source. Since it's right next to Interstate 5, it is very convenient for t9ad trips doen California. When I initially looked up the restaurant, I was a bit confused because online it seems that they have 4 different restaurants, and I wasn't sure where they are all located. But we just went and followed the signs that said "Restaurant." When we walked in the main entrance, the first thing we saw was the Country Store. To the right is the Horseshoe Lounge, the Prime Steakhouse in the middle, and Ranch Kitchen is towards the end. I think they also have a barbecue restaurant, but in a separate building. This place is massive. We decided to dine at Ranch Kitchen, where there was a huge group of people sitting right outside. I originally thought they were waiting for a table, but they were all just there for the restroom since this seems to be the place to be for pit stops down I-5. It was around 6 PM on Monday, and we got seated pretty quickly. We ordered the 14 oz. Choice Ribeye (medium rare) and the Country Fried Steak. Both included either baked potatoes or mashed potatoes (we opted for baked) and broccoli and carrots. The ribeye also included either a soup or salad, but given the current scare with the lettuce parasite, I opted for the clam chowder. They start you out with hot bread rolls and some salted whipped butter. The ribeye was very tender and delicious. It was well-seasoned and does not need steak sauce or anything. The country fried steak was quite tasty and comes with a massive amount of gravy, the way I like it. Overall, this was a great stop with great food. The service was amazing and the waiter was very attentive. This will definitely be a regular pit stop of ours.

One of the coolest parts was seeing meats being smoked outside. It adds to the experience and lets you know they're serious about their meat. It's a nice pit stop with good food, welcoming service, and authentic ranch-style vibes.

Restaurant Review:…read more Service is not great. It took us about 15 mins to get water from another person (not our waitress) and a total of 20 mins to get our order taken. We were not in a hurry but our section we saw others seated after in a different section and they got their food more smoothly. The section had larger tables but more communication from the person handling our table would have gone a long wait. From the point being seated, it took an hour to get our meal. We got no dinners rolls and our soup came with our meal. At the point of ordering we asked if the soup could be up-charged from cup to bowl and we were told yes. They instead charge us full price of a bowl instead of it being an up-charge (4 dollars vs 10). This should have been upfront and communicated. Disappointing experience and lot of the staffers were just chit chatting by the coffee station. Food for two adults and kids over 100 dollars was not worth it. We will not be returning. This is not the first time this experience has happened.

Food good Service…read moreok Ambiance ok We randomly stumbled into this place. We just pulled over just to switch drivers. I never knew Harris Ranch opened up a BBQ spot. Location is inside a gas station but there's plenty of seating in the heat outside. I ordered half rack of ribs and half pound of brisket. Upon weighing the brisket they also included the weight of the tray. Bummer oh well. Mac and potato salad as the sides. Everything was delicious brisket was juicy and tender same with the ribs. Mac was creamy and noodles were well done which was fine to me. Potato salad was fine. Brisket had a balanced pepper corn and salt rub taste. Their BBQ sauce was good but not spicy enough. I'm gonna start planning stopping by every time we're coming back from SoCal from now on.

So I guess they don't operate like normal restaurant hours, better to assume that they are busy all the time. When I called, they asked how soon I'll be here as they have a line. I told them I'm 20 minutes away and when I arrived food was ready. Upon arrival, I just needed to go to the cashier line and pay. So that was nice. The call quality could vary, so I'd advice to keep your order simple and familiarize yourself with their menu. They were in their own building, right next to the Shell gas station. You can eat outside as there's no seating inside. There's a big TV outside. It can be super hot and stuffy eating outside in summer, despite the fact that they have fans and cold mists. We were roasted in there sweating and watching FIFA game while eating. The restroom has AC and is clean and comfortable. We ordered half a pound of brisket main and a pulled pork sandwich. I asked to put all the sauces aside. The Pulled Pork Sandwich looks like a burger as it comes with burger bread but it's loaded with a thick layer of pulled pork in the middle. That's it though, no veggie, no other things, just bread and pulled pork. The pulled pork is already soaked in BBQ sauce, so there's nothing more needed to add to it. It tasted slightly spicy from the BBQ sauce, meat is super soft. The brisket was shockingly little, I couldn't believe one slice is half a pound and that's over 18 bucks! A pound is $30. The meat is super soft, one touch and the fibers fall apart. I wish they put more salt on when they BBQ, coz then naturally it'll be flavorful enough and don't need the BBQ sauce. The texture is fatty and softy enough. The mac and cheese is not bad, the cheese sauce is slightly over as the mac were like swimming in them. Overall a nice and quick stop to get some descent quality food. A nice alternative to gas station hot deli.
